How to rename the external HARD disk in window 8?

I have a Seagate Backup more Portable disk (500 GB) and WD Element (1 to). I use Window 8.

When I Plug one of them, their original name had auto-changed by the computer. For example, auto-changed the name of the element Local disk (H) and Seagate to Local disk (G). I tried to rename the two hard drives, but it does not work. But the two hard drives were working properly (I can open it and uploaded files). I even tried to use disk management to rename the HARD drive, but it will not change in the computer.

Not only that, when my friend she plug Pendrive or plugging me in my usb connection Smartphone . Both got the names of auto-changed also. For example, when I connected my Vivo X 5 in computing, it usually appeared Vivo (I) and the Sd Card (F). Then some time later, it auto-changed on the removable disk (I) drive removable (F). Regarding my from a friend, after she plug his USB drive in my computer, its name from Pendrive changed disk removable (J). When she plug his USB stick into his computer, she could not rename its USB key at all.

Is it because of Bug? or a Virus? What this means, I format my calculater, hard drives, USB stick and Smartphone?

I did done Windows Defender Scan, but it does not detect anything. So, I tried it on my Windows Defender and used Panda Antivirus Scan but detects no virus at all too. What should I do?

Can someone help me with this?

    Hello

I would recommend to change the external drive (g) to F letter.
Do you know how to do this?

After the external HARD disk is connected, you need to access the disk management and you will see the HARD drive (unique partitions) and other readers.
Then you must mark the external HARD disk and should change the letter F.

Perhaps the letter F was reserved for another drive.
In this case, you need to unlock the letter F by assigning another letter to the reader that uses the letter F.

  • files and folders invisible after the attack of virus on the external HARD disk

I have an external Seagate 500 GB HDD.
Yesterday I plugged on my friend's laptop computer, but her laptop has been attacked. I didn't know it. so I just copied the files on my HARD drive.
After connecting the HARD drive to my laptop, I've scanned several times, but only one file or folder is not visible in it. And I checked the properties, its display used and remaining memory on the HARD drive.
Not what happened? I want historical data... How can I make them visible?
    Help, please...

This problem normally occurs when permission for files/folders have been modified and may be hidden.

Method 1: We will connect the hard drive and try to check if files and folders are hidden or not.

If the problem persists, I suggest you analyze the external hard drive to see if it is operated by the virus and malwares. If you have any antivirus program that is not built, you can run scanning using it. If this isn't the case, you can use the provided scanner.

    Step 1:

Start your computer in safe mode and check the number.

The best way to restore the link is to go in the library, make a right click (control click on Mac) the folders on the left side and select the location of the update folder. If the images are in a closed file as the top-level folder (recommended) digital capture needs updating. If there is a lot of files, then you will need to update each record separately...
