Note that delete encrypting is only supported on the disk hard base NTFS and not FAT32, for example, if you copy the encrypted file in the Flash of the encryption will remove your zip file.

  • When I try to use the send to compressed (zipped) folder option I get an access denied message

When I try to use the send to compressed (zipped) folder option when I right click on a file I get the following message

    Unable to complete the operation.

    Access is denied.

However I do have permisions complete on the file and I am the only user and administrator

Do you know when this problem started?  Try a system restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem started.  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.

If the system restore does not work, do a startup repair, boot from the disk Installation of Windows Vista genuine (or one that you can borrow from someone) or a recovery disc.  Here is the procedure: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html.  You may need to change the BIOS to do first the CD drive in the boot sequence to boot from the CD.  To do this, hold the screen that tells you the key F to push to enter the menu start or start of installation.  Push it quickly. Make the changes, save your work and exit.  Put the CD in the drive and reboot.  When you are prompted, press any key to boot from the CD.

If you do not have a floppy disk, you can make a bootable recovery disk by using http://neosmart.net/blog/2008/windows-vista-recovery-disc-download/ with burning software like: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html and, of course, a blank CD.

If this does not work, try to start in safe mode (repeatedly hit F8 key so that the start and go in safe mode with networking).  Then we will check some of your system files:

Go to start / all programs / accessories / command prompt and right click on command prompt, and then click Run as administrator.

Type sfc/scannow, go and let it run.  It will scan and try to correct some of your system files.  If all goes well it will complete with no corruption, he couldn't fix it (if there is such corrouption post here or try to analyze it to find the problem or files using http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228.  This can sometimes solve the problem on its own.

While in the command prompt, type chkdsk /f /r and enter and let it run.  It will scan and try to solve any corruption or bad sectors on your hard drive and remove especially as a cause.

If this does not work, you will need to do a repair/system upgrade using the Windows Vista Installation disc authentic (you own or that you can borrow from someone).  Here is the procedure: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-vista.html as well as the upgrade from an earlier version of the Windows section of the following: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/918884.  Although this will not affect your data, settings or programs, you should always back up your data before you start just be on the safe side.

I hope one of these procedures can solve your problem.  If this isn't the case, after return and we will try something else.  Return message anyway so we know how it turns out.

  • How I have a zip file to send by post?

Hello... How I have a zip file to send by post?  I've never had to do this. After trying to find an answer in the questions already answered for an hour, I ask you now your forum. I have to be the first to do not know since when I tried to find an answer already given, this forum could do was to send hundreds of responses as 'open' and this I know how to do. Just never got to compress and send what it seems that zipping and sending is more difficult. I hate to be the one who dosent know. MY point dragging all this is probably a second question. Why send hundreds of questions answered on how 'open' a zip file when I entered the question how I have a zip file to send an e-mail? Now, the answer is maybe, if so why mix them all together? Look at a third question perhaps. Seems that this site could be a bit better than it is. Ive already had some problems in the past and I really hate coming here more. As this forum can occupy, but I really hate wasting my worst time, like trying to sort through the already answered, which are not relevant. Well ive SALE now.  The only answer (if any) should be to the question 'how I have a zip file to send an e-mail? Thanks in advance. Oh yes before im ask you here are the answers.  Windows 7 HP service pack, to date, IE 9, MSE and MSE on machine. Never Norton or any other. Build the home with paid software OEM no Micromoney. Hi Sherrie l.,

Send Adobe is the current solution to Adobe for sending large files. (This is Adobe SendNow who retires soon.) Can you tell us what you were running by using Adobe send?

It is not a special version of Zip for Acrobat files, but you could reduce the size of the PDF file if you have Acrobat. Or, in Windows, you can create a Zip file by choosing File > Send to > compressed (zipped) folder.

    Best,

    Sara

  • How can I remove "the folder/Users/user/to/mygame doesn't exist." Terminal. Rises every time I launch Terminal.

How can I remove "the folder/Users/user/to/mygame doesn't exist." Terminal. Rises every time I launch Terminal. I am a novice. Thank you very much.

    1. Please select from the menu bar Terminal

    ▹ terminal preferences... ▹ Profiles ▹ Shell

If the run command box is checked, uncheck it or enter the command to run automatically (if any), each opening of a Terminal window. Note: this is not how you define a default shell.

    2. If step 1 does not resolve the problem, see below.

    Back up all data.

    Select

    New Shell command ▹

in the Terminal menu bar. Uncheck the box marked

Run the command inside a shell

    If it is enabled.

Copy and paste the following line into the text box that appears, and then press return:

    /bin/mkdir disabled_shell_files

Close the Terminal window that opens. Repeat with this line:

    /bin/mv .profile .bash_history .bash_profile .bashrc .inputrc disabled_shell_files

History Shell and former initialization files will be saved in a directory named "disabled_shell_files" at the top level of your home directory. It is normal that some of these files do not exist, and therefore, you will get error "no file".

Close the window and open a new test.

You may already know that files with name starting in '. ' are not visible in the Finder by default. So, if you open the folder that you created in the Finder, it will appear as empty, even if it is not. If you need to recover a portion of the data in the files of the shell, use a shell such as nano-based text editor (1). Make sure that you're not recreating the problem. Otherwise, you can delete the folder.

Windows XP does not display the default Firefox Button. If you want to see the Firefox button, go to view-> toolbars and uncheck the menu bar. (To return to the menu bar, press the ALT key to temporarily show - see what happened to the file, edit and view menus?).
