How to report a bug? (Impossible to close the Welcome screen in Photoshop)

Adobe is marketing home and tell me how wonderful their products are very good, but when I have a problem and I'm trying to interact with Adobe to solve it (something I try to avoid), the assumption always seems to be ' oh it must be user error - you just need a little education "and not" hey this isn't how it should be - we'll fix it. "

I'm on the latest version of CC, running on a macbook pro running OSX 10.10.4

I'm in bridge and select a sequence of photos, tools/photoshop/load files into photoshop layers. After you load the layers, I find myself with the home screen loaded on top, like a modal window with no way to close it. The top of the home screen seems to be 'under' the OSX menu bar, so I don't have visibility where access to any button "close".

I tried to scroll to the bottom of the Welcome screen and selecting the "do not load at startup", but then I can't save this option because the only way I have to get out of photoshop is force it close because the Welcome screen doesn't let me do anything.

Perhaps relevant:

I'm running on an external monitor, above my mac pro screen. The two screens are active and act in the way that they appear in the Visual extension of the other (for example I 'up' from my mac pro screen to get my big screen). I noticed that lately (maybe beyond 6 months) cc apps became not good to recognize where they are run and open dialogs on the wrong screen.

Here is a picture:

Screen Shot 2015-07-12 at 15.17.04.png

I've seen a solution here (to disable the Welcome screen), which I still have to try:

The Welcome screen troubleshooting

.. .but I don't want workaround I want a fix. The Welcome screen should never load so that it cannot be closed.

Thanks for any help or suggestion!

But this not available in my window box.

Correct - this forum is a support system-based user community. ON-BOARD staff rarely participate and check no reports of bugs here.

  • How to make a uiapplication closes not when you close the last screen

By default, when you close the last screen will come out of the UiApplication, but I want what he requestBackground,

example: If the last screen is the screen invokeapplication and close() is default, then how in the background?

It is much easier to understand what you mean if you use the real java involved rather than trying to use the shortcut.  I copy your programs and paste it here too, so you don't get as typos:

    invkoeapplication

    that can confuse us mortals.

It seems you are trying to call another Application is not your own.  Says Simon, if you don't 'own' Application/screen, you have no control over what he does.

What I don't understand is that if you call the Messages application, then your Application must not be closed.  Is it?  What did you try to stop?

It would be perhaps better if you explained exactly what you're trying to do, we are all aware, on what is the problem.

    Running Vista Ultimate

I created several standard users and multiple administrative accounts of the different members of the family to use.  I want them all to use their standard user account when connecting, but when UAC prompts elevated privileges, I want whether they are able to choose their administrative account.

How can I hide the account on the Welcome screen, but allow it to be used in the UAC prompt?

I found how to hide using the hklm\software\microsoft\windowsnt\currentversion\winlogon\specialaccounts\..., reg key but he's hiding of uac as well.

It's not exactly what you were asking that you however maybe it will get enough to do what you need to close.

You should always let a no hidden Admin account and I would leave two, one that is total unused
except for testing and other fastening. Also be sure to check the 'related links' on these pages.

  • How can I bypass password and the Welcome screen on windows 7?

starting with W 7, I get an error of soul and user password. When I click ok I have 2 icons with a request of the users password. If I click ok it goes to the Welcome screen. How can I clean it and go directly to windows without password and home screen?

There is no error message.  As long as you have two accounts with the listed names so there is no problem.

    - - - - - - - - - -

If there is nothing wrong with the system, then you can go directly to any account chosen by:

1 click on the Start button and in the search box, type netplwiz

2 right-click on the shortcut resulting & select run as administrator.

3 in netplwiz dialog box, check the option "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select the user account Standard that you want to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight, and then click apply. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted, or leave blank if there is no password.  Then, return to the dialog netplwiz new & still having that same account selected, uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer" then click OK.

I do not pretend to create 2 accounts and more admin accounts that you use for day-to-day operations. It is a useful protection against the corruption of the user profiles.  No matter what profile can become corrupt and if that is the only admin account that you suddenly find you have serious problems. Operation with two spare admins [which serve just to allow tasks like facilities] protects these two accounts safe against the risk of corruption of the profile day and ensures that you will have access to the system if your normal accounts is screwed up.
