How to restart a virtual computer when it blue screens

Someone at - it an entries if there is no options in ESX 3.5 that is OS (Windows 2003) blue screened, it will restart it self?

    Have you recently added any hardware? Have you updated any drivers just before these
    has started? (Check control panel - updates of Windows to see if all drivers have been updated
    all the time this started) guilty likely hand are video driver, other drivers,.
    memory and antivirus/antispyware/security products could be at fault, but also in car
    questions.

    Use the troubleshooter below and refer to the following message for pilots and memory
    When you get these sections and then back to the resolution of the problems according to the needs.

    BCCode: 50 0 x 00000050

    Cause

    The BCCode 50 usually occurs after the installation of the defective material or in case
    failure of the hardware installed (usually associated with a faulty RAM, either main memory,
    Cache L2 RAM or video RAM memory).

    Another common cause is a defective system service installation.

    Antivirus software can also trigger this error, as can a corrupted NTFS volume.

    Solve the problem

    Solve a defective hardware problem: If the material has been added to the system recently,
    Remove to see if the error recurs. If existing hardware has failed, remove or replace
    the defective component. You must run the diagnostics of material provided by the manufacturer of the system.
    For more information about these procedures, see the manual of your computer.

    Fix a defective system service: Disable the service and confirm that this
    resolves the error. If so, contact the manufacturer of the service on a possible system
    Update. If the error occurs during the system startup, restart your computer, and press F8 to
    character mode menu that displays the choice of operating system. As a result
    Windows Advanced Options, select last good known Configuration option menu.
    This option is most effective when a pilot or a service is added at a time.

    Solve a problem of antivirus software: Disable the program and confirm that this fixes
    the error. If this is the case, contact the manufacturer of the program about a possible update.

    Fix a corrupted NTFS volume:  Run Chkdsk /f /r to detect and repair disk
    errors. You must reboot the system before the start of the analysis of disk on a system partition. If
    the hard drive is SCSI, check for problems between the SCSI controller and the disk.

    Finally, check the system log in Event Viewer for additional error messages that might help
    identify the device or driver that generated the error. Disable the cache in memory of the BIOS
    could also resolve it.

    Last week, I updated my Windows 8 computer after that it had been updated to 8.1 because the computer was crashing so frequently. However, I continued to receive several blue screen error of death (KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, BAD_POOL_HEADER & MEMORY_MANAGEMENT).

    These have taken place when I watch movies via Amazon instant video or power video chat with my family. I guess I need to update a driver, but I don't know how to determine which driver to date.

    Is there an easy way to find out what the cause of the problem? What should I do?

  • How to restore a virtual computer to another computer using Backup Exec virtual

    Hi all

    I tested VMware 3.5.  We have little budget, so we intend to convert 5-10 dev servers into virtual machine running on an existing ML570 HP.  I created a test VM; I could back up and restore the entire virtual machine using Backup Exec to a physical server without problem.  However I can not restore a virtual machine to a different VM.  Let's say I dv01; I backed up using Backup Exec dv01 on the physical server.  Pretending the host has no I have rebuilt a new host, created a new virtual machine with the same name dv01 and same features.  I restored dv01 from the backup.  The restoration is properly; However, he got a blue screen when I rebooted the virtual computer.  The blue screen went so big that I don't remember what it was, but it's the kind of a dll error.

    We want to keep the budget as small as possible using our existing Backup Exec agents, but it doesn't seem to work here.  Is Backup Exec for VMware agent a MUST?  Catering to the same VM is good, but restore to a different VM is not so simple.

    THX.

    As you can see in http://www.vmware.com/products/vi/buy.html, VCB is included in all editions of VI 3.5.

    If your computer is restarted when the BSOD appears, then you must change the by default for what to do in case of system error. It is easy to do, but takes a lot of mouse clicks to get there:

    Start | Control Panel | System | Advanced system settings (need for credentials for the administrator to spend here |) Advanced | Startup and recovery / settings.

    On this screen, uncheck the box under system failure that says automatically restart. The next time the BSOD appears, your computer will not do anything else until you press the reset button, so you'll have all the time you need to read and copy the error codes. Paste here, verbatim, and someone should be able to point in the right direction.

    ``````~~~~`````
    In the control panel choose reports on problems and Solutions (problem of type in the START search box), go to historical problem, right-click your error and choose check for the Solution. You can also examine the details.
    In administrative tools, choose the reliability and performance monitor and click on MonitoringTools then the reliability monitor (type reliability in research on Start).     How to impose a layer of HAL during an upgrade or an installation of Windows XP
    Impose a HAL
    To prevent Windows XP to automatically determine the system HAL during the upgrade or installation of Windows XP, you can manually force in a system HAL. To impose an Abstraction Layer HAL during a upgrade or installation of Windows XP, follow these steps:
    1. During the phase in text mode of Setup, when you receive the message at the bottom of the screen, press F5:
      Press F6 if you need to install a third-party RAID or SCSI driver.
      Note If you press F7, the Standard PC HAL loads and the ACPI enforcement is bypassed.
    I would not need this except in the systems of many older and low end... :-(  After all, in the same article, for Standard PC they say: "the CPU can be a 386, 486, Pentium, Pentium II, or Pentium III '...
    Thanks for letting us know what you were doing.  Do you have all the necessary drivers after loading Windows XP?  I would not recommend using the default drivers for any hardware - always see what the manufacturer offers on their web page for each component of your system - card motherboard chipset, audio, video, network devices, etc.
  • Behavior of a virtual computer when it is placed on Standard vSwitch with multiple active adapters
    Hey everybody
    Right now I'm focusing on the aspect of vSphere network design and I have a question about this:
    If I have a vSwitch with a group of ports and attached to this group of ports there are 2 vNIC or NIC better and I chose road based on the Port ID and all cards are active, what happens to machines when I unplug a power cord? Lets assume vm1 is vnic 0 and vm2 on vnic1 and I unplug the power cord of vnic1. VM2 will switch automatically to vnic0 or should I restart? How should I take care of this problem when there is no automatic failover? Create an etherchannel and two assets assets adapters?
    Thank you and best regards
    Michael
    Hi Michael,
    your virtual computer will be moved to the other vmnic again access to the network after the failure. No reboot needed.
    It is indeed a very simple way of load balancing / team. When you turn on a virtual machine is bound to a vminc. As you said correctly for this example, vm1 goes to vmnic0, vm2 to vmnic1, to vmnic0 vm3 and vm4 to vmnic1.
    This is the default setting as it is quite simple and you don't need any additional switch configuration.
    If you want to change this behavior, for example to build an etherchannel, remember to change the policy on the vSwitch / exchanges, which would require a load balancing of "route based on the hash of the IP.
  • Is it possible for HA / VMotion to migrate a virtual computer when the fiber of SAN connectivity is lost / Cup?
    Use: Version ESX 4 / vCenter4
    I have a cluster with ESX 4 nodes running HA. I want to know if it is possible for vmotion to migrate a virtual computer if the host on which it lives has a loss of fiber optic connectivity to SAN/back-end storage. I can get VMotion to work when I go unplug the Ethernet cable to the back of the esx host, but when I unplug the fiber connections that will freeze the virtual machine and no migration will happen. Is it possible to do this with VMotion HA? I also tried to use aggressive DRS to see if when I unplug the fiber it lose connectivity and a loss of memory or cpu and migrate... so not happened... the vm always reports to vCenter that memory and cpu have not changed... then DRS don't not kick to migrate the virtual machine.
    Thank you.
    There is no such thing for HA. HA only fires when there is a host or a network isolation fails. DRS also does not realize this.
