    Hello

    Method 1:

You can check if the windows service install is present under services and check if the service is set to automatic. You can follow the procedure.

    (a) click Start.

    (b) type services.msc in start search.

    (c) search the Windows Installer Service and click on select Start.

    (d) on the general tab, next to Startup type, make sure that Automatic is selected.

I also suggest you to see the steps and check.

Unregister and register the Windows Setup program again

    1. click on Start, click run, type MSIEXEC /Unregister. and then click OK. Even if you do it right, it may seem that nothing is happening.

    2. click on Start, click run, type MSIEXEC/REGSERVER, and then click OK. Even if you do it right, it may seem that nothing happens, or you can briefly see an hourglass. After you run this command, the operation is complete.

Try your application based on Windows Installer again.

    Method 2:

I also you suggest to perform the clean boot, and then try to download.

  • Small Business Accounting 2006 for Vista download

I am trying to download my 2006 version of MS small business accounting on my NEW computer which has Windows Vista as operating system. I downloaded all updates and it still not open. I click on the software, and it shows that it is opening. Then he said that a problem caused the SMBA to stop working and MS will give you a solution for the program and it will stop runnng but then I don't get any information.
I checked all of the patches that I can find and that are related to this issue. Help! Thank you!

    Hello Miranda,

Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Community Forum.

Your version of Microsoft Small Business accounting 2006 is not compatible with Windows Vista.  You can view the compatibility of the software with Vista on the compatibility of Microsoft site. http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/search.aspx?type=software&s=small%20Business%20accounting%2023006&page=6

However, you are eligible for a free update to Office Accounting 2009 if you have a licensed copy of your software in 2006.  Existing customers who have a license for 2006, 2007 or Microsoft Office Accounting 2008 are entitled to a free upgrade of 2009 Accounting Office. Please refer to the URL below to determine your upgrade path.

    http://www.ideawins.com/upgrade.aspx

I have also included the link on how to upgrade to Office Accounting 2009. It is recommended that you back up your current data in Small Business Accounting 2006 before the upgrade. If your SBA 2006 should not be SP2, you may need to upgrade the service pack before the backup.

    http://www.ideawins.com/UpgradingFromSBA2006.aspx

Once you have upgraded and loading your data, you might want to consider uninstalling Microsoft Office Small Business Accounting 2006 (SBA). SBA uses an older version of SQL Server called MSDE (Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Engine), and that your computer will run faster if you uninstall SBA and MSDE.

Please post again if you have any questions or concerns.

    Marilyn

  • System Restore will not work for any date and computer says that it is running in auto mode.

I have a 30 GB master and slave of 160 GB. 26/03/11 I copied a large file of 11 GB of the master to the slave because I received alerts that the disc was or almost. After you have copied from C to D, I deleted the C file and the missing file of the two drives. I tried to use the restore of the system without result. No matter what I do "Unsuccessful System Recovery" is the only message I get. Is it possible to recover a file that took me hours to compile it?

This looks like a self-inflicted wound / pilot error.

Deleting files in the Recycle Bin does not release disk space.  When you delete things in the trash, all you really do behind the scenes moves the items from one folder to another folder (the folder to the Recycle Bin).  They always take place until you clear items from the trash.

System Restore won't help you recover personal files anyway - this isn't what he does.  SR cares your personal files.

A backup will help recovery of personal files.

I think it's against the rules for people at Microsoft to suggest or sometimes even to read all the information of any URL Internet that does not begin with microsoft.com, where the previous warning about third party programs.

However, I think that to get off the beaten track (as they say).

This is a popular program of third party who sometimes helps to recover accidentally deleted files:

    http://www.Piriform.com/Recuva

It may be too late for your files, but I would also check the configuration of your trash if you have several volumes of hard drive from your symptoms question do not quite add up correctly.

Even if SR would not help in this case, your SR expected still works what is another potential problem to solve.

Now I'm folding stock and return things to the technical support engineers.

Your best bet is to install a new operating system, like maybe Ubuntu 11.04. It is not an easy task, however, it becomes a little more complicated because you don't have a CD/DVD drive in the EeePC. You need to first get the ISO image to a USB Flash key.

  • Internet Explorer 10 is suitable for Vista?

    Hello

What is internet explore 10 for Vista?

I'm a little worried after reading so many articles on Windows 8, and the fact that my laptop isn't a touchscreen-driven device, do you think it will be a problem if I update my computer?

    Thank you

    Hi,

Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

From the descriptions of the question, it seems you want to know if Internet Explorer 10 is supported for the Windows Vista operating system, and whether you can upgrade your computer to Windows 8 operating system.

I'll help you solve your doubts.

To help you solve the problem, I would appreciate if you could answer the following question:

. What is the brand and model of your laptop?

I'm sorry to say that you think Internet Explore 10 cannot be installed on a Windows Vista operating system.

Internet Explorer 10 is default in Windows 8 and can be installed in Windows 7 32 - bit or 64 - bit with Service Pack 1 (SP1) or higher operating system with the system requirements below.

    Configuration of Internet Explorer:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Internet-Explorer/IE-system-requirements#IE=IE-10-win-7

You can install operating system Windows 8 on a touchscreen led device, provided that your computer meets the system requirements of Windows 8 and the wizard to upgrade Windows 8 running on your computer.

You should check if your computer meets the Windows 8 system requirements link below.

    Windows 8 system requirements:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-8/system-requirements

If your laptop meets the system requirements, you can then run Upgrade Wizard.

Before moving to Windows 8, we recommend you run the wizard upgrade of Windows 8. It scans your current PC to see if it's ready for Windows 8 and provides a compatibility report and optional steps for you to purchase, download and install Windows 8.

    Upgrade to Windows 8:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-HK/Windows-8/upgrade-to-Windows-8

I hope that the information above helps you.

Your response is very important for us to ensure a proper resolution.

In the future if you fall on any question relating to Windows, please do not hesitate to post your request here on Microsoft Community, we will be more than happy to help you.

  • Satellite P105-S6114 - Toshiba Upgrade Wizard for Vista displays error

I use Satellite P105-S6114, I received the Windows Vista express upgrade DVD from Toshiba. According to the statement, I downloaded site taisvistaupgrade.exe [http://vista.toshibapc.com/vista/wizard]. After execution of the executable I get following error.

"Your remaining disk space is 16 GB, you need more than 15 GB to upgrae to Windows Vista. Please keep more than 15 GB disk space and restart the upgrade wizard. »

Wizard executable is upgrade later available as those downloaded from the site seems to be with bug trying to compate '16 GB' with 'Go 15.

    Concerning
    Shailesh

    Hello!

I put really know why this happened, but to be honest, in my opinion 15GB or 16GB are not enough for Vista!

On my second Toshiba laptop running Vista, I need 30 GB for Vista installation and all my programs. I n t installed many programs, only programs that I use really (desktop, Skype, ICQ, Photoshop, AntiVir, VideoLAN, etc.) and those 30 GB are only for programs not data! I stored my documents, pictures, etc. on the second partition.

So in my opinion you should have at least 40 GB for Vista. If this isn't the case, you must upgrade the HARD drive.

    Good bye

  • ThinkVantage software for Vista 64 bit upgrade

    Hello

I'm curious to know where I can find the Thinkvantage for Vista 64-bit software.  I bought my T61 with Vista Ultimate (32 bit) in 2007, but decided to downgrade to XP due to performance issues.  I have used XP for some time now and has recently purchased and upgraded to Vista Ultimate 64-bit.  I've been downloading drivers from the Lenovo Web site, but I can't find the DVD software and some other applications.  Anyone know where I can go to find?  2 years ago, I have created the Vista recovery CD but I don't seem to be able to pull software out of it.  Anyone know where I can go to get the software miss me?

BTW, yes I know that the original Vista Ultimate license includes 64 - bit.  I didn't know that until the after that I bought a new copy of the software.  I don't even know if Lenovo provides CDs upgrade to Vista 64-bit.

    DRM for your help.

    George

The missing applications are only distributed in C:\SWTOOLS on the preload factory. Think that they will work in both Vista 32 and 64. If you do not save SWTOOLS 2 years ago, your only option is to install Vista 32 on a spare your recovery disk hard drive and copy it.

I do not see a clean installation guide Lenovo T61, but here 's mine for Vista 32 on T500.
