How to restore missing "show the menu button" in Windows live mail?
I want to use the bar hidden in Windows live mail, but the "Show menu bar" button is missing. It should be between the stylus buttons and helps, but isn't. In fact the pen button is also absent, but the help button is there.
Pressing alt quite appear the letters fhsov and the numbers 12345, but they don't do anything when I click on them.

How to use paper in the latest version of Windows Live Mail?
Short answer: the stationery support has been removed from Windows Live Mail with the upgrade of v.2009 v.2011 back in 2010.
Long answer: there are two solutions of workaround that you can try.
- If you have a stationery .htm file, open it in Internet Explorer, and then select file > Send > Page by email (Alt - F E P). Save the message as a result as a .eml file and use it as a model for messages.
- You can get in shape, for example a background color, to a HTML signature, then apply this signature to an e-mail message. Here's the one I use when sending pictures:

In the left pane of Windows Live Mail, my four email accounts including pointed "Windows Live Mail, just above gmail. I use Windows Live Mail on Windows Vista Home Premium system to access three e-mail accounts that I administer. I would like to change the default reply address in the accounts to use my address E-mail UKU (that is, when I send a message to any of the accounts, the beneficiaries of the default response is sent to my account UKU).
All of my system messages via a different service provider (Virgin) and I discovered that the "Reply To" address in the header is always to my Virgin account. I entered all my account settings and entered the UKU address that must seek answers (accounts-properties-reply address), but this setting doesn't seem to work.

Original title: to access the old Live Mail
I got Windows 7 on my old laptop. Laptop is dead, but I can still access files. The Live Mail account on this computer is connected to an e-mail to company via ipage account. IPage offers relatively little memory space in his webmail, so I have archived a ton of emails using Live Mail and then deleted from the ipage account. How to bring back these archived emails? What I must get them off old laptop hard drive or I can access with the new account Live on the new laptop computer to windows 8? I downloaded Essentials and tried to connect with business email and password, but no dice. Anyone has any ideas for me? Thank you!
You will need to get them on the hard drive of the laptop old. They must be stored inside this folder:
C:\Users\shawn\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail
By replacing 'shawn' by your folder instead, real user name of course.
Everything you need to do is to copy this folder to your new computer, then run the import of Live Mail option in the file Menu and select the folder to import from.
I just got this laptop that is running a newer version of Windows Live Mail I know. The police of default e-mail is attached to Calibri 12 which is extremely low. I want to its default value to Ariel 14. Is there a way I can do this default font setting permanently? I can't find anything under 'help' that helps me.
Left-click to select your account
then on the drop down menu - options - mail
Fonts seem to be listed there.
Click font settings, to adapt to your needs,
and see if this holds for emails send/dial
If it works and is OK, it's similar on the tab [read] - fonts for reading emails.
my windows live has been hacked. I decided to go back inside. But unable to change the script back to English.

Original title: transfer emails to new computer
Pls is it possible to somehow retrieve the emails from an Outlook Express account on a broken computer to transfer to my new computer which runs Windows Live Mail or do I need to get the old computer fixed? Thank you very muchYou are welcome. If you can get the files from hard drive accessible, here's what you need to know.Transfer of data from Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail:
For Messages:Copy the * ENTIRE * OE message store folder to a flash drive. (Folders.dbx must be included). Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail.
V-2011/2012: Menu button. Import Messages. Microsoft Outlook Express 6, and the point where it was saved.
Location of OE message store:
In OE: Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.
In Windows XP the OE User (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

Hope the helps of information.
I had to save my old C drive and reinstall the OS and now I can't find all my e-mail folders that were under the "Storage folders" section of WLM. Please tell us where the program records those so I can copy this folder.
Also, where are the stored so WLM Contacts I can do the same thing for that.
WLM is delivered with a default section called "storage folders". They are different from where the Inbox stores the messages, you can check in the section Options/Advanced Options / Maint.
This is the folder called storage folders is, too.
Still looking for the answer to where the contacts are stored.
Which varies according to the version of the program. In the last (WLMail 2011), they are in a database in the folder called C:\Users\
\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live\Contacts\Default, where C:\ is the drive operating system. You won't be able to make use of all other folders next default one.
Questions about contacts in Windows Live Mail its place in this forum. You must give your version of the software when you post it. In WLMail to find, has press on ALT - H. If that does not show you the version and number generation, press escape twice, then press Alt - F B.
