  • How to restore the database only with redolog, ctl and dbf files

    Hi friends,

I had an oracle 11g database, but the server is down. So I just save only the DBF, CTL and REDOLOG files. But I couldn't save the file spfile and pwd.

How to restore this database in the other server? How can I recreate the spfile?

I hope someone can give me a hand.

    Thank you.

    Hello

    Thanks for all your advice.

I try to recreate an environment equal to the original.

I have install windows server 2003 and install the database from oracle 10.1 all default options.

I create the directory D:\oracle\product\10.1.0\oradata\. Then I put the files (*.) CTL *. DBF, *. Log) in this directory.

After this, I create a pfile file in: D:\oracle\product\10.1.0\db_1\database\init.ora with only the db_name and the control_file, the compatibility settings.

Then open a CMD and create a service, set the ORACLE_SID and try to start the database:

    oradim-new - sid

    Set ORACLE_SID =

    sqlplus / as sysdba

    startup nomount pfile='D:\oracle\product\10.1.0\db_1\database\init.ora';

    change the editing of the database;

    ALTER database open;

    And, the open database

After I install Oracle Sql Developer, and I can connect to instance and check the tables.

But when I try to do an export of CMD, I get tracking errors:

  • How to restore the saved bookmarks in Carbonite?

How can I restore bookmarks stored in Carbonite? I read the two questions dealing with this, and the answers were not useful. I have updated Firefox and still can not get my old favorites.

Have you lost bookmarks after Firefox update?

Problems with bookmarks and history does not properly can be caused by a corrupted database places.sqlite file.

You can also try to repair the database of places with this extension:

You can also try to restore the bookmarks one of the backups in the folder bookmarkbackups JSON (10).

Did you find the Firefox profile folder in the Carbonite backup?

The "Application Data" in XP/Win2K folder and the folder "AppData" in Vista/Windows 7 are hidden folders.

You can restore the database places.sqlite file or restore backups JSON mentioned above.

  • How to recover the database with RMAN avoiding blur

    Hi gurus,

I'm stuck in a situation and need your help.

We check if our backups are valid or not. So it gave me a new server and backups/archives to a 2 TB database I need to restore/recovery. I followed steps below.

    (1) copied the prod parameter file to test.

    (2) make the necessary changes in the init file.

    db_file_name_convert, etc..

    (3) start db in nomount mode.

    (4) restore the backup control file

    Restore controlfile to ' / oraback/ARCH/prod/backup_controlfiles/c-250795000-20141030-01';

    (5) mount the database.

    (6) created under the rman script and executed.

    Run {}

    Questions-

-Restore completed successfully, but I found that few archives are missing.

-I pulled from database to recover until cancel using backup controlfile; There is a below error

ORA-01152: 1 no file has been restored from a sufficiently old backup

    ORA-01110: data file 1: ' / u02/oradata/testsystem01.dbf'

-Then tried to restore the archive of available backup archive and few of archives have been restored.

    i.e. of sequence between 759529 and 759552.

And then I pulled the database until cancel using backup controlfile recovery and I got errors below.

How to restore Rman if the SID is different?

    Hello

    Refer to this http://shivanandarao.wordpress.com/2012/04/19/duplicating-primary-database-to-a-new-host-without-connecting-to-the-primary-database-in-oracle-10g11g/

You need to restore it under the same name as you have in the production and later change the dbname using the NEST.

If you don't want to go with this method, then I suggest you to go with the method of double RMAN.

    http://www.Oracle-base.com/articles/11g/duplicate-database-using-RMAN-11gr2.php
    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/B28359_01/backup.111/b28270/rcmdupdb.htm

    rman target sys/@prod auxiliary sys/@tst
    RMAN>duplicate target database to 'prderp' nofilenamecheck;

Please close this Re: how to restore the Rman backup if the SID is different? wire by marking as replied.

  • How to check the database is created in the database of node 2 RAC

    Hi all

Please allow questions maybe too obvious. I'm not familiar with RAC and ASM.
    virtual box (Windows 7)

2 built nodes on Linux 6.1 Windows 64-bit virtual machine.
    11.2.0.3 software grid & database.
One of DB name is demo
    Node1 (demo1)
    Node2 (demo2)

    1. I installed the 11.2.0.3 grid software and set up ASM with her. The installation seems to succeed.

I am able to use view state using crsctl (see the log)

    2. I installed the database software and you want to create a database (demo) by default. the software from 95%, but not able to realized the dbca.

I see that the asm_pmon is running, but not able to see the process of demo db. I think at this point, I don't have my demo of database has been created yet.

    Yes, question
    1: is the database created?
    2. I try to use dbca to create my demo db, but at the stage of creation of the 'copy of the database files' - she complaint ORA-03114: not connected to ORACLE
???? What? What oracle server trying to connect?
    3. If the database is created, how to start the database, in particular it has 2 instances (demo1 and demo2)?

    Please advise!

    Thank you very much!

    1. What is sure, is that your database is not registered in OCR because there are missing elements in crsctl stat res t exit for database instances.
    2. default DBCA trying to restore an RMAN backup to create a database. DBCA probably also try to connect to the new instance of the database to run scripts.
    3. you must use:

    srvctl start database -d demo

This should start all database instances.

But first try to check the DBCA logs that should be under $ORACLE_HOME/cfgtoollogs/dbca and to correct related errors.

  • How to restore the tablespaces only 4 while cloning with RMAN?

    Hello
How to restore the tablespaces only 4 not all areas of storage in one database to the new database of cloned all cloning with RMAN?

I don't think it's possible to restore only 4 storage space for the database 'auxiliary '. Instead, you can use the "SKIP TABLESPACE" cloning while clause.

You can exclude the tablespaces that you don't want the database duplicate with the SKIP TABLESPACE clause. You can exclude any tablespace except the SYSTEM tablespace or tablespaces containing rollback or undo segments.

    Hi, try as

  • Restore the database to the previous SNA

Thank you for taking my qustions?

I have a situation where I'm going to string together several jobs very long. If something goes wrong I want to restore the database to a specific number of SNA. I do not have the return of flame cutting, because I want things to run as fast as possible.

If I should have to restore the database because a job fails, do I restore the database from a backup?

Could I just restore the backup control file and then run rman > recover database until the SNA = 122222222; If Yes, how Rman knows what archivelogs to restore and what happens if SNA has not been archived yet?

    Thank you
    Kathie

    11.1.0.7 windows 2008.

    Hi koko.

You must restore the full database back and go for an incomplete recovery using backup controlfile.
Because it is not possible to restore the data files SNA number.

  • How to recover the database when archive some of the log file are deleted.

I am facing a problem with the Oracle database, which is linked to archivelogs.

    Hello

    It is actually quite easy.
We knew that Oracle was looking for logsequence 1107. There is no archived log, it was deleted, or it has never generated. As you delete files, the 1st solution would be possible, BUT as there was only an instance crash so more old archived logs is not required for crash recovery. There is a need during the restoration of the old backup files, which is not our case.

Thus, the missing log sequence has not been archived = > it is a redo log.
To identify the required online redo log, we just to log query v$ as I suggest.

Once the log identified file, we can recover it by specifying the redo log when you ask logsequence 1107.

And it is on. We win! :)

  • How to restore the calculator application to drag it to the top of the screen to control

Can how I restore the calculator to drag it to the top of the screen to control center? It seems to have been removed from the bottom row? Thank you

Are - what you got to remove the calculator of your applications on the phone? You can find the calculator on the phone itself? If you find it, then try a reset. Hold down the home and sleep/wake together until you see the Apple logo and then release. The phone will restart. There are no settings to change what appears on the display. See if the reset solves your problem.

EDIT: what exactly you see in the Control Center? If you see only controls the music, then drag to the right to see the rest of the access to the control center.

Move it to where it belongs - in your folder. If you don't know where it is so, look for using Spotlight.

  • How to restore the refresh/stop button?

I have my perfectly configured browser buttons I would like it. I don't need someone to another deletion or moving them where they feel they are in a better place.

How to restore the refresh/stop button? Yes, I update it in the address bar. I want it on the left, next to the button at home where he has been for 10 years.

Chrome allows me to set the button where I want. The latest version of Firefox did too.

Thank you. It works almost, installation of two plugins to restore my settings to normal. Unfortunately, my understanding of button is:

    Back/Forward. Home page | Refresh/Stop

and has been for a long time. I can't move the previous/next buttons. If my muscle memory is defined, and every time I hit the back button, I have to stop and think that it is now.

It's the same thing that I don't like IE.

Consider me a convert to Chrome, guys. Now I have to remember to click on the eye of the Rainbow and not the orange Fox - but at least I only will once per day.
