How to restore the database only with redolog, ctl and dbf files

Hi friends,

I had an oracle 11g database, but the server is down. So I just save only the DBF, CTL and REDOLOG files. But I couldn't save the file spfile and pwd.

How to restore this database in the other server? How can I recreate the spfile?

I hope someone can give me a hand.

Thank you.

Hello

Thanks for all your advice.

I try to recreate an environment equal to the original.

I have install windows server 2003 and install the database from oracle 10.1 all default options.

I create the directory D:\oracle\product\10.1.0\oradata\. Then I put the files (*.) CTL *. DBF, *. Log) in this directory.

After this, I create a pfile file in: D:\oracle\product\10.1.0\db_1\database\init.ora with only the db_name and the control_file, the compatibility settings.

Then open a CMD and create a service, set the ORACLE_SID and try to start the database:

oradim-new - sid

Set ORACLE_SID =

sqlplus / as sysdba

startup nomount pfile='D:\oracle\product\10.1.0\db_1\database\init.ora';

change the editing of the database;

ALTER database open;

And, the open database

After I install Oracle Sql Developer, and I can connect to instance and check the tables.

But when I try to do an export of CMD, I get tracking errors:

    Hello
    How to restore the tablespaces only 4 not all areas of storage in one database to the new database of cloned all cloning with RMAN?

    I don't think it's possible to restore only 4 storage space for the database 'auxiliary '. Instead, you can use the "SKIP TABLESPACE" cloning while clause.

    You can exclude the tablespaces that you don't want the database duplicate with the SKIP TABLESPACE clause. You can exclude any tablespace except the SYSTEM tablespace or tablespaces containing rollback or undo segments.

    Refer to this http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B14117_01/server.101/b10770/rcmsynta28.htm

    In the latest version of DW, Design and fashion Live view are now a menu drop down, there are nearby. In addition, if you use fluid grid Layouts, Design view is no longer available.

    If that's what you're talking about, you can get the design view option is back with a little work around. First of all, cloise all other files open, then add the X appearing here in the grid of your fluid .css file...

    /*

    Properties Grid Dreamweaver fluid

    DW-num-OCOL-Office: 12;

    DW-gutter-percentage: 25;

    Then save the file, close it and restart DW. From here out, DW should no longer recognize the nature of the fluid grid of your page and allow you to use Design view.

    YOU DO NOT HAVE

  • Restore the database only have files DBF and CTL [Windows] [11.2.0]

    Hi all

    Got a little a situation here. A development database (11.2.0).) on a Server Windows 2008 sank yesterday.

    Something went horribly wrong with the hardware, so we can't start the machine.

    I removed the hard drive and attached it to another windows machine. I got lucky and can get all the files on the disk.

    Is there a way I can recover this database? I read some where people say you can just re - create a new database and then replace the DBF files.

    Judge that worked pretty good, control files were attached. But when I tried to connect with any user, I got this beauty of an error:

    ORA-12432: LBAC error: zllessesinit:OCIStmtExecute (Yes it's English :-)).

    Anyone have some advice on this? Should not be a solution for the above error. I just want to get current DB running on a virtual computer so that I can expdp data out of it.

    You might have figured out, the original database has not been closed correctly, since the entire machine just crashed. If I can't get back it, this isn't a problem.

    I'm quite new to the Oracle DBA part, so sorry if this is a silly question.

    So unclear and more information needed, pull! ;-)

    I found the solution to my problem:

    It is possible to simply re-create the database, stop it and and replace the DBF files in the new instance.

    However, I didn't know that the old database is a 32-bit version. The news is a 64-bit.

    I re installed a 32-bit host on the new machine, and that did the trick.

    Hope this helps other people with the same problem.

  • How to restore the search bar drop-down list and the search engine icon today as it was in version FF 33?

    Some ealier time, I managed to go back to the drop down list via editing about: config and setting browser.search.showOneOffButtons to false.

    But yesterday firefox asked me to improve my search and I agreed. After that, I see ugly new tile instead of the drop-down list.

    How can I go back to find it is old menu drop-down appearance?

    "browser.search.showOneOffButtons" was a temporary pref which lasted from Firefox 34 upward through 42 of Firefox. The underlying code that have supported this preference is gone like Firefox 43.

    You can not ignore the archivelogs.

    If the archivelogs are not available, you need a database backup that was created after missing the last archivelog point.

    I'm used to be able to see the title of the page in the title bar. Firefox has removed this feature, and now I have to mouse over the tab to display the title of the page. It is another example of extracting the characteristics that people use for reasons that I don't understand. So far, I had to install two 'add ons' to restore the common features on previous versions - and always on IE and Chrome.

    1. Right-click on a zone empty of the tab bar and select Customize.
    2. Click the button on the title bar in the lower left corner.
    3. Click the Customize output button when finished.

    1 how to recover the database and put online

    Any help will be much appreciated.

    Hello

    It is actually quite easy.
    We knew that Oracle was looking for logsequence 1107. There is no archived log, it was deleted, or it has never generated. As you delete files, the 1st solution would be possible, BUT as there was only an instance crash so more old archived logs is not required for crash recovery. There is a need during the restoration of the old backup files, which is not our case.

    Thus, the missing log sequence has not been archived = > it is a redo log.
    To identify the required online redo log, we just to log query v$ as I suggest.

    Once the log identified file, we can recover it by specifying the redo log when you ask logsequence 1107.

    And it is on. We win! :)
