How to separate related windows on the taskbar in Windows 7

Hello

I've upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 and were able to customize the taskbar so that it works quite the same as Vista. However, I have trouble finding a way to change "windows" of being grouped as opposed to appearing in the order that I opened the. It is a soda of huge time for me because I open and close throughout the day and go back and forth between the last open and the last of them read a lot of docs. They were always at the end of the line, regardless of the type of file, and now I have to browse all the files to find them. It's only a matter of seconds, but it's a whole new way of working which is not necessary and is driving me crazy.

Can someone offer a guide on how to make this change to my task bar works the way that it used? PLEASE?

Thanks in advance!

You can't "attach" a shortcut icon to the taskbar XP, but you can drag the shortcut to the Quick Launch bar icons? If this is allowed? Right click on the taskbar | Toolbars and check it out. Unlock the to-do bar to adjust the size you want.

It is not possible. It is a part of UI (UI) Windows. Auto hide is the only way to temporarily hide the taskbar.

  • How to drag a shortcut from the taskbar in Windows 7?

I have already in XP to create a shortcut for a network on the desktop drive and then create an icon with a program icon for the associated drawing letter that drive (e.g., P for projects), F for finance, etc. and to associate this icon with the shortcut.  Then I could drag and drop this shortcut right in the task bar and voila - a big letter indicating the network drive I could then single click on my desired disc.  It's simple, fast and convenient.  Now, in Windows 7, I can't and drag that shortcut on the taskbar.  Anyone know of a workaround?

  • How to separate my Windows 7 libraries/Homegroup and Windows Media Center the share permissions?

I used to share media from my laptop Windows 7 for my Xbox 360 and my Windows XP computer using Group residential and everything was great, but I decided to use WMC so I could see more files on my Xbox 360.

But after you have configured the WMC as Xbox 360 Extender, it reset my permissions and locked the folders that I was sharing with homegroup. After you have unlocked records, he deleted all the files in my library, and anytime I want to share a folder with the homegroup, its in my list of WMC,.

Whenever I remove a sharing folder in WMC, it resets my home group and locked files. I don't want that.

At any time, I share a folder to my homegroup, sharing in Windows Media Player (it's a NO!) I don't want that at all)

WMC can sometimes have trouble sorting files when its comes to 100 and 1000 s, I want to keep my Homegroup library and my library of WMC separate share. Which means I want my homegroup, my library and Windows Media Centers, sharing folders, all sharing the same folders.

    How can I do this?

  • How to separate 2 IPADs using the same Apple ID

Problem: I have 2 iPad (IPAD 2/IPAD Air) using the same Apple ID.  To maximize the storage capacity on two IPADs, how can we separate the two so that each IPAD will show its max 16 GB storage?   I have to reconfigure the old IPAD back to factory setting?  I create an AppleID separated for the IPAD 2?  Your comments are greatly appreciated

I'm not sure I understand what you're talking about. If you have two 16 GB iPads, they have only about 13 GB of storage available out of the box. Using the same Apple ID on both devices does not affect the amount of space you are using, if you sync the same content for both and in everything you turned on automatic downloads and use iCloud photo library on both devices.

  • How to separate a lighting of the Original effect?

The photos below show what I'm doing. What I want to accomplish is to have only the effect of lighting on his own. I use the plugin CC rays of light and it is not a mixture setting. I hope that this is possible, and any help would be grately appreciated.

    Forum2.jpg

Change the Transfer Mode in the plugin CC rays of light to "None".  This turn off the content of the source layer and display only the rays of light themselves.

Applying the light rays CC to a solid will not work, because it will have no connection with the source layer.

  • I can't pin shortcuts to Documents, images, and the taskbar Control Panel. They go only in Windows Explorer?

Clear since back with Win 98, I used the Quick Launch bar downstairs to give me quick access to my most used programs while keeping open the windows that I use, so I was happy to Win 7 as supposed that this would finally make a correctly recognized feature.  However, I find only programs can actually be pinned it.  I don't want these three things hiding inside Windows Explorer, what makes 2 clicks result instead of 1.  Am I missing something simple (which is possible)!  I can get the shortcuts on the desktop is there a way to then pin the taskbar shortcuts instead?

    Hi skyreburn,

This is how the Windows 7 pin feature. Personally, I would like an option that allows you to pin folders separated rather than adding it under the Solution Explorer icon. You can accomplish what you want with a hack (sort of), pinning an executable, and by changing the way target the question later. For more information, see this article.

  • Find the cutting tool lost and restore on the taskbar

I had move the pointer to the taskbar in order to have the Snipping Tool appear on the screen where I have to click a second time to activate it.  One of its options in the task bar was to remove the tool cutting of the taskbar.  I thought that removal of the tool cutting into the task bar would move on the screen where I could eliminate one click whenever I wanted to use it.  When I click on it to remove it, I could find it anywhere - not in any menu that I watched, not in Windows Help.  Where and how can I find to restore the taskbar, or better, to put it on the screen, where I can move it and click on when I want to use it.

Make a shortcut on your desktop to it.

Click right an empty spot on the desktop choose new / shortcut

    Give it this way...

    C:\Windows\System32\SnippingTool.exe
