  Hi all

  I just lost a small site to redo at a college grad who me - underbid by how well... I do not know. I came to the realization that I'm more a dinosaur... everyone and their grandmother doing Web design these days. No offense to those who begin, who are new to web design, but I have a ton of experience and can do a lot for the customers. Guess my question is - how can I I separate myself from others? How do I not bid myself without a job? Is there anything I can add to my experience? I have a lot of experience with CSS HTML (of course), ASP, Javascript and some JQuery - what more can I add? Learn for free? In my view, that I can't compete more. The competition in my area is very rough - whenever I get my Craigslist post interest - but nobody never following through their interest - how get YOU a job? I realize, I can be in competition with some of you out there - and I understand that some may be reluctant to answer... I have a family and a mortgage as most of you do too - I know these are difficult times... I just think that it should somehow add more to my portfolio to become more impressive to a potential customer

  No doubt, but this time are difficult at the moment.  Interestingly, 80% of my business comes from a small group of customers repeat.  In the last year or two, we have experienced a strange change. People who formerly did very little of promotions are more and people who made frequent promotions are less.  Go figure!

  Find a niche.  If you know how to generate rock em sock em shopping carts, or Content Management Systems further promote as an expert in these areas. If you have specialized or of the Certification exams, remember to include it in your promotional material.  Target companies and small businesses in your neighborhood with a package on a basket or a CMS site.  Once you have them as clients and they know how good you are, it is usually easier to keep coming them back and, hopefully, they will tell you a friend or co-worker about your services

  Don't be afraid to do the networking.  Tell your neighbors, friends and others come you into contact with the people that you are an experienced web developer and you are looking for new customers. Keep a WAD of business cards in your pocket and don't be shy about distributing them to everyone.

  Of course, you can't compete with the students or "nephews" who work for pennies on the dollar.  But you can educate prospects on what they can expect expert built site vs a substandard wesbsite.  Always keep a cheap site costs more in staff time, loss of customers and money to rebuild again later.

  Put yourself in your customer's shoes.  Customers are looking for the best value for their money now more than ever.  If you can build a site for a store of brick & mortar that initiates 50 000 new customers over 2 years and more in 5 years, an initial investment of $10,000 on a web site seems to be a good deal.  In addition, if your site automates the tasks that were performed by 1 staff member full time, you added more value to the client backup project 1.5 times his annual salary & releasing upwards for more lucrative work for the company.  Believe in yourself.  Believe in your product.  Project value above customers with longevity and price will see it your way.

  You want them to go in videos app for the iPad? If you do, then you should be able to do this in a similar way that sync you music on your iPad.

  You have added videos to your PC iTunes library - file > add to library, otherwise (if they are not in a compatible format, you will need to convert them on your PC, then add them to your iTunes library). They are likely to enter the movies section of your iTunes library and should show on the movies tab of the iPad for the selection and the synchronization to the application of the iPad videos:

  I bought a JVC GR-D50EK camcorder, about 4 years ago. So far I have never tried capture video on the computer, but I need to do now and I can't seem to do. I have a Toshiba Sat A200 which I bought 2 weeks ago and I tried to use Ulead DVD MovieFactory and Windows MovieMaker.

  ImageMixer that came with the camcorder doesn't seem to work either. I downloaded the update to version 1.1. I don't know where to start looking for the answer.

  The software for the camcorder has installed successfully, and when I plug it into the PC via USB, it seems to be seen very well in the Device Manager. It's just when I try to use any of the software it seems to be seen.

  It appears under imaging devices in Device Manager, but when I go to scanners and cameras, it does not appear

  It should be done very easily. It is important that your cam is recognized by the system and shown in Ulead DVD MovieFactory. Use the save option and at the same time press PLAY on the camcorder. You should be able to see the film in DVD MovieFactory window.

  If works well with my Sony camcorder. In my case I have firewire connection on my laptop.

  But, luckily, I found a way. I just change the settings in the BIOS for SATA, Vista started, I restored some of the deleted files, and voila - it worked. Another reboot, BIOS have been changed on the previous settings, and now it works perfectly.

  How you get photos from your phone to your Windows PC (assuming that there - you ask in a Microsoft forum, well you have posted in the ' Other/unknown' group) is at least partially determined by the phone in question.
   
  In general you connect the phone to your Windows PC if your phone is seen as an external drive and then look for the phone as an external drive from your Windows PC to get a photo - copy on your local computer.  You could send it from your phone to your email address and then check that the e-mail on the Windows PC.  You can send it via Bluetooth if your phone and your Windows PC have this ability so everything is configured properly.  Etc.

  No screen turned visible, but I think you have your mail sorted as threaded. That's all mail on a conversation thread is placed together, and the thread open in a tree like the folders pane.

  View (Alt + V) menu > sort by > unthreaded will turn it off.

  I am a user of Photoshop CS for about 13 years... I recently downloaded CS5 to try it before you buy it. I've been a user of CS3 for 3 or 4 years now. I love Photoshop but other than Photoshop I'm not a very savvy computer user. So please bear with me as I try to explain my problem.

  When I open PSCS5 he fills the screen of my computer completely and it looks like this: a thin strip of Inc. 1/2 on the left that holds my 'tools', a 2 inch wide strip on the right that holds "Layers, channels, paths" and a 1 1/2 inch Strip on top, then a big area in the middle.

  I used 2-12 X 12 300 dpi new files open AND 10-15 photos or elements scrapbook and documents open for work at a time.

  In earlier versions of CS toolbar and palettes layer strips were ALWAYS at the top, so I could access any quantity has been opened on the screen. In CS5, I keep burying them and have to dig them to use. When I use 'Float in window', I need, using the tabs does not allow me to see what I need to see to work on documents, how can I get the tools and layers on TOP only?

  You should probably remove the panels on the right and the box tool by clicking and dragging on the upper part in the workspace.

  Then your choice alongside the workspace without mooring to them (ways to the blue line, they are going to dock)
