How to set up a PPPoE connection?

I want to know if anyone knows how to set up a PPPoE with Windows Vista Home Premium.  I have Comcast as a provider of services and I am already able to go online with the wireless router, but I put it in place as a dynamic connection instead of a PPPoE connection.  When I go to the web page of the router to try to set up as a PPPoE connection, it cannot connect to the internet.

  • How to set up the 3G connection with "optus" on Portege Z30 - has PT243E

    Hello;

I'm trying for several days to set up my 3g connection / 4g with my sim card "optus, but I don't not each time."
I downloaded 'toshiba wireless manager', but my computer does not detect my card.

    Anyone have a solution?

    Thank you

    Try this:

Remove the SIM card while the device is turned on.
Then stop it completely, insert the SIM card yet again, and then turn on the laptop with SIM card inserted.

Then follow this instruction step by step to make the 3G connection:

Got a new iMac and I can't seem to understand how to configure a lack of connection at startup.

My previous Setup (El Capitan) iMac allowed me to never have a 'get' on a login screen at startup, it just went directly on the desktop. I have had no password for the Admin, and although I have no password for the Admin with the new iMac (and no comments option) I'm always presented with a login screen at startup.

    What Miss me?

Go to Preferences system--> security & privacy.  Is the box 'Disable the automatic connection' checked?  If this is the case, clear the check box.  Then, out of this component and go to users and groups.  Make sure your account is highlighted on the left, then click on "Connection Options".  -What is "Auto-connect" set on it?  If not, change it.

    Hello

I found the same info as Tobi. Your device has no WLAN and you must use the PCMCIA WLAN card. I'm sure that with PCMCIA card you will receive the CD with driver and probably some WLAN client for WLAN configuration. You can also use the WLAN Windows settings.

    Hello

It's not easy to say what is the problem with your router. Check the manual of the router. There should be a description of the configuration of this device.

    Hi AdventureGal,

You can add a password for your user account...

Control Panel > display icon > user accounts > change your password

    Add / change your password

    • Use a decent password
    • NOT your date of birth, not your dog, cat, bird and not your social security number or your license number...
    • NOT your child's birthday or name...
    • Write it down.
    • Do NOT place it in your freezer in a vase, in the medicine cabinet or piano stool.  Do not paste it under the desk, it sticks inside a drawer or write on the bottom of the laptop.

Beware of the warning to the subject he remove the connection information of fingerprints.

One of the things I always like to do:

Create an additional account on your computer with admin privleges.

Do not use the account for anything.

Give him a password really well.

Note the password and put it in your safe... your friend house... in your garden under a very large rock in your neighbour's garden... a place where you can find it.

After that, you'll be a lot more close to being a real hat-wearing-paranoid Admin - and you won't get locked out of your computer, because you have forgotten your original password or your original account is messed up.

As for the loss of fingerprints...

    • Register a few extra fingers.
    • You can do so at any time.

    I hope this helps!

    BTW:

I'd be careful of this password power on ...   Additional security is good as long as you can deal with this property.  The smile.

  • How to set up a wireless connection between my computer windows 7 and my printer?

Laptop running windows 7 and HP wireless printer.

What printer wireless HP do you have?

Is the printer connected to your wireless network and online?

If so I just used the software provided from HP who asked me if I wanted to connect to a USB port or wireless router. I choose the option Wireless for my HP J4680 AiO device and the software installed the driver appropriate printer and other associated software, IE. Center solutions HP, etc and I could use my wireless printer.

Click here to download manuals updated, how - to, of, software, drivers, etc for your machine.

    http://welcome.HP.com/country/us/en/welcome-copy.html#support

If your printer is not connected to your network, you may need to set up a temporary ad hoc wireless between the printer and a PC. Once you do this, you can enter the printer wireless configuration pages and configure the SSID of the network, wireless, encryption type, encryption key, etc.. Also, FWIW, I have set my HP machine with a static IP address to make it easier for me to access any pages of any PC on my network config.

Can someone throw some light/provide any assistance! I'm getting desperate :(

Thanks - my email is [email protected]

    Hey nic,.

You must give us more details about your problem. Your explanation is very deep and so it might be a little hard to give exactly the instructions how to resolve you this problem.

First you make sure if your wireless network card is listed in the device correctly without yellow exclamation point Manager.
Then, make sure that the WIFI is enabled with the hardware switch and FN + F8.

You see the WLAN router if you are looking for WIFI networks at your fingertips? If so, can you connect or you get an IP address?
Also check the DHCP of your laptop configuration and disable the Save function in the energy WLAN Vista power management.

  • Portege R600 - 3G or WiFi - how to set the priority of connection

Hi, all, wonder if anyone can suggest an answer to this query?

Our (not too illiterate I.T.) MD has a Portege R600 and a 3G dongle it uses to compose on our VPN and Citrix server using the built-in wireless connection manager.

It works fine, unless it is in an area where he can get the two Wi - Fi _and_ a 3G signal, which case the R600 resumes and connects to the Wi - Fi connection itself, but it can not noticed this and he then manually dial on the Internet via 3G dongle.

According to the parameters of the Wi - Fi network it is on, this can cause problems to connect to the Citrix server as it tries to connect via Wi - Fi network and not the 3 G dongle.

So my question is, in the wireless connection manager, is it possible to define a priority or priority which the network, Wi - Fi or 3G, is used for its Internet connection? Ideally, we would like to set up the 3G network as a higher priority, but I don't think this is possible using the WCM.

I realize the ideal situation would be just him train on turning off the WiFi connection, leaving the 3G connection as the connection active unique (it cannot turn the wireless off full stop by using the switch on the side of the laptop as this turns off the 3 G connection more).
But like I said it is not too good with all things I.T.

    Any suggestions most appreciated!

    Thank you very much

    KW.

I n t have this laptop model, but please check the FN + F8 key combination.
He can choose it option 3G only?

  • Satellite M50 161 - how to set up the WIFI connection?

I use my Satellite as a second computer. My PC is primary and is using a NETGEAR card.

I used a card reminder in wireless cards because my home office is a bit far from the PC.

Of course, my laptop has its own part of the ways to get online.

I've always taken for granted connection. I don't even remember the 1st time I am connected. In fact an engineer could have done to the delivery!

PC had problems connecting. Host Web server problems. I was expecting sort of my laptop to connect in any case, as it could / should connect to it's own wireless installation to get online. I'm not an expert as you realize.

It dawned on me while I had no idea how to switch on and connect using the built-in wireless card that not Netgear obviously. Or I'm expecting a lot and the lap top is actually a slave to my PC connection and always will home in on the netgear connection.

BTW, I'm back online via the netgear but would like to know. Excuse my ignorance...

    Hello

To be honest I m a bit confused.
I put t know exactly what you want to do.

You want to connect the laptop to the other PC via WiFi or connect the Satellite M50 to the WLan router as usual?

If you want to connect to the Wlan router and then activate the wireless card on the laptop with the WLan switch on the side of the laptop and the FN + F9 key combination.
Then configure settings such as the SSID, encryption, Mac address, etc. by using windows has the configuration settings or 3rd party software like utility Intel ProSet or Atheros client utility (depending on the Wlan card).

For more details you can visit the Toshiba Wlan Portal

    Hello

OK, it seems that you have properly installed the WLan card and everything directly in Device Manager.
You have configured the router WLan? Do you have some cipher and/or filtering by mac address?
    Please check again!

If you use the Wlan configuration option clean windows, you must verify the simple settings in network connections-> wireless network connection properties.

New windows should appear and you should choose the wireless network tab.
Please check if it use windows to configure my WiFi is marked. In the preferred networks field, you could add WLan network. Click on properties and you should be able to configure encryption.
