  Thanks for your help.  You reminded me about an option for XP that I didn't need to use some time.  I finally understood how network with Win 7 there is only an hour!  I was able to add a user to the permissions area by adding an account to my Windows 7 computer and then use it to log into the network folder in XP.  For files requiring an admin, I had to add the user account created to have rights to the folder.  Windows 7 dialog boxes and the features are slightly more complicated than XP.

• LR5.3 - import in a folder, but displays a subfolder incorrectly

  Hi all

  I have recently updated to LR5.3 and now noticed a problem when importing photos.  When you import into a folder (such as a subfolder), the photos are imported correctly on the disk, they appear in the right place, howevr in the folder Panel, that the subfolder appears outside the main folder.

  Imort parameters are:

  

  Note on disk file ' 20131226 - Boxing Day"is correctly displayed (these are all under a folder root 'Photos - LR Masters')

  

  However, in the Control Panel folder LR, the folder "20131226 - Day Boxong' appears outside the 'Photos - LR Masters'"

  

  If I try to move the folder by dragging it, I get an error that the file already exists.

  Any ideas?

  Tried to create a new folder, adding file to LR, then import to folder as suggested - everything is ok worked

  Then I dragged all the subfolders of the old parent folder into the newly created folder and everything worked well, so don't know what it was, but his resoled now

  For starters, Windows file sharing does not care and cannot distinguish any particular computer access.  Windows protects access to files by user name and password.  Therefore, on PC1, you must create a username and password for everyone you want to access the files on this computer.  Then, they authenticate from any computer with this user name and password.

  Secondly: For Windows to distinguish a user to another user, "Simple file sharing" must be disabled.  Active Simple file sharing, all users that connect to the service computer will always authenticate as user 'Guest' and, therefore, you can control access to any file or folder it by individuals.  Simple file sharing cannot be disabled on XP Home, to support this feature, your PC1 must be XP Pro edition.

  Today, win7 found that I had one of my hard drives (not the os disk) to chkdsk, and like a good user, I did exactly that. After restarting, the folder that used to be on this disk had disappeared.   Thank you for your answer, but I have not followed your steps (sorry for that), and I found the missing folder. Apparently, chkdsk finds some flaws in this case and made a new folder on the same drive, witch, I couldn't see (checked hidden files). I ran auslogics on this disc (it took more than 5 hours) and there was a new folder that was not visible. I typed in it and there was this missing folder (he was appointed: found.000 /...), and most of my missing files is back...

  I always find it very strange that a program such as chkdsk can simply modify any folder on any of your drives without even asking, but who I am?

  We had a problem where some - not all - of our messages are not received. When these messages are sent, they do not throw a notification saying that they cannot be delivered and they appear in the "sent" folder as usual.

  We are a company that sends quotes to potential customers, so we really need it is resolved as soon as POSSIBLE. We will send about 10 quotes per week and at least once a fortnight we will have someone complain that they have not received their e-mail while the others will be fine.

  The emails that we send have attachments so sometimes fall into undesirable people, but sometimes they are not either and we must resort to getting a second e-mail address to the sent message.
