    Hello

It s takes longer to describe the complete installation of the use of BT for internet sharing.
I found this site with a statement of installation for Windows 2000.
The dialog boxes for Windows XP may be a little different, but the configuration will be the same.

  • How can I connect my BlackBerry smart phone to internet via bluetooth on my laptop connection?

I have connected my BlackBerry smart phone to my laptop via a Bluetooth successfully, but when I tried to connect to the internet, here's a message appears: your device cannot automatically connect to the internet, you want to enter user name and number manually?

So, how can I connect my BlackBerry smart phone to the internet via a bluetooth connection?
    Thank you
    Michael

    Hi Michael,

You must create a connection switched to solve the problem:

    Please follow the steps:

    a. click on the blue Windows logo at the bottom of the screen, then click on 'control panel '.

    b. double-click on "Network and sharing Center." If you don't see this icon, click on "Classic view" in Windows Vista. In Windows 7, click on the "view by:" drop-down menu and select 'small icons '.

    c. click on "Set up a connection or network" on the left side of the window. Select "Set up a dial-up connection" and then click "next".

    d. type the phone number of your Internet Service provider in the box "Dial-up phone number." Type the number exactly as you need to dial it in your area - include the area code if required by your telephone company.

Enter your user name and password. The ISP gives you this information when you create your account. Check the box "Remember this password" to avoid having to enter the password each time you use the connection.

    f. type a name in the box 'Connection name' which will help you to remember which connection it is.

    g. check the box "Allow other people to use this connection" to make the connection available to all users on your computer.

    h. click the 'Connect' button to connect to the Internet service provider and save the connection. You can connect to it in the future by clicking on the logo Windows at the bottom of the screen, then "Connect To."

    For more ihelp:

Contact the wireless service provider for more information on how to connect to the internet using mobile phone on PC.

    I hope this helps.

  • How to connect my Windows 7 PC to Internet via Bluetooth on my Windows Mobile 6.1 phone?

I have problems connecting to the Internet on my laptop under that Windows 7, Bluetooth, plugged in on my mobile phone running Windows Mobile 6.1.

The phone is a Samsung Omnia GT-B7610 and can access the Internet via 3G.

I can pair the phone with Windows 7 via Bluetooth without problem, but I cannot yet access the Internet on the PC.  The process I use is:

-Pairing phone and your PC by selecting devices and printers > add a device, etc., etc.  The device is successfully added.
-Network and Sharing Center > set up a new connection or network > connect to Internet > set up a new connection anyway > Dial-up.  It is supposed to be a Bluetooth option on this screen, but I did not.

    When I do this:
Devices and printers > right click on the paired Bluetooth device > properties > Services tab, I see that Active Sync Bluetooth Service as the only service available.  Is this correct?

In addition, I can't get Windows Mobile Device Center to connect/sync to the phone via Bluetooth.

    Any help is very appreciated!

Hi Kiti, thanks for the reply.  I had just a little work there is, however I came across a program that makes it much easier: WMWifiRouter.  I highly recommend it!

  • I can not connect the Lifedrive to Internet via bluetooth or Wi - fi

I've had my lifedrive for about 4 years now. It was a gift, and I've never used it that much; Only, I downloaded some pictures, songs & used the calendar; as I didn't have a computer of my own.

Now, I have a computer with Windows Vista, & I was hoping I would finally get some use out of my lifedrive. But first, the cd accompanying software was not compatible with Vista (& I can't find any way or find a compatible download), & the most important thing is that I can't connect to Internet on my lifedrive via Wi - fi or even bluetooth. This function, I have never used before, so I'm starting to think that it's something wrong from the factory.

When I connect to the Internet in a WiFi zone, & then I try to open the browser (blazer), it resets every time, & I can read this message: "memory Mgr.c, line: 3759, Word-non-aligned handle.

When I try to connect to the Internet using bluetooth through my laptop (cable modem) Internet connection, I get this message as soon as I click on 'connect': ' errorerial: Timeout. " Could be a bad cable or defective Modem (0 x 0305)»

My computer & lifedrive are paired, & this pairing has worked in the past.

I did a hard-reset of my lifedrive, as this seemed to be advised in your site, but the problem persists.

Any ideas, please? Because I'm in the point to get rid of him.

    Thanks in advance!

  • How to share internet connection between two computers (win7 & win XP)?

"I plan to get cable internet connection ADSL broadband." And again, I want to share internet from one computer to another. »

    • But I have a question in mind which is lower.

Before going to answer my Question Please read two notes point-

    Note:

    A. very important don't ask me what I have installed and what equipment I have in my PC? just give me a simple, easy answer. guess I'm no networking and I have two PCs. You teach me from scratch.

    B. do not use the more technical term. I hate it when someone using the most incredible technical term (its towers the response in the largest number of questions lol). just give me a simple answer.

If you are eligible to condition or except my EULA :) go further and read my questions give me an answer simple and straight.

Now please read the question below.

    Issues related to the:

Q1. Which computer should I connect main internet connection (computer on which will better host win7 or Win XP)?

Q2. What equipment I mean as a router, hub, NIC etc.? Please specify if these materials will be required for two PCs or for one.

Q3. What type of Internet connection sharing will be better to be wired or wireless (cost, speed and security wise)?

Q4. I need two IP address both part of connection to the internet between two PCs?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Zeff,

You can make Windows 7 the main computer for internet connection and then host the Windows XP computer.

For more information, see the article:

Start here to set up a home network in Windows 7

Networking of computers running different versions of Windows

With respect to the equipment as a router, hub, NIC depend on the connection (wired or wireless) you want to use. You can also check with the ISP (Internet Service Provider) for more information.

For more information, see the articles:

What do I need to connect to the Internet?

    Setting up a network home

Wired and wireless connections have great benefits, but they have also some disadvantages.

    Wired connection:

    > Faster and more robust than wireless connections but not so flexible when positioning of computers and devices because you must be connected to your Super Hub with an Ethernet cable.

    > Safer than wireless connections, but not so convenient for users of laptops and other mobile devices.

    WiFi connection:

    > Wireless! If you can connect when you want. However performance may be affected by walls, electric interference etc.

    > Ideal for users of laptops and other mobile devices, you can connect devices more but slower than wired connections

    > Very safe when used with higher level (WPA) encryption. You can connect your smart phone to your network wirelessly for faster browsing.

However, unauthorized users could try to use your connection (which explains why security is so important).

There are two types of IP addresses. external and internal. Both computers have the same external IP address but separate internal IP addresses. Each device in your network will have its own (internal) IP address. The external IP address, who sees the Internet is actually assigned to your router.

Hope the helps of information. Let us know if you need help with Windows related issues. We will be happy to help you.

The Nokia, when go to research, says "no device found".

Is there something else that needs to be enabled. Any help would be appreciated.

    Cypriana

    Cypriana,

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion p6635uk. According to the specifications, the only network device installed on your computer is the Realtek RTL8111DL network adapter 10 / 100 Mbps. Unless you have purchased and installed a x 1 PCIe 802.11 Wireless card / adapter Bluetooth or a dongle USB Bluetooth, your computer cannot communicate with a Bluetooth device such as your phone. You will need to buy a Bluetooth adapter to enable Bluetooth communication on your computer. If you have a USB cable for your Nokia phone, you can transfer the pictures without Bluetooth.

Ethernet has no default gateway so he does not know where to look for information.  Its IP address indicates he can't get an IP address to the router, or the external DHCP/DNS servers.

  • How to share internet connection on my desktop to another computer wireless desktop through a router

my computer has wireless PCI card, and my wife is not wireless, so I will try to share my internet connection the router belkin play wireless I have, but I think I'm doing something wrong because it receives no internet, we both desktop

You have direct access to the wireless router that you connect first with?

Most routers should have standard LAN (Ethernet) ports that you can run a cable to the computer of your wife.

Or you can add almost any USB wireless adaptor for your wife's computer, as long as there are XP, Vista or Windows 7.

  • BlackBerry smartphone how to disable internet via the network, but leave the wi - fi on?

    Hi all

I'm new to Blackberry but love until now.  I have a questionette for you to wizzo on something that left me speechless:

My rate is not all internet at all (I'm only a poor pensioner!), but it seems that installation is there for me to use it if I do not pay attention if I want to turn it off permanently while installing wi - fi on.  This was possible on my android, but I gave to my wife because the screen is not too sensitive to my skin.  I got the Blackberry the the guy in the store where I bought it, but all he has done is disable data completely so now I can't use it on WiFi either.

Can you tell me if this is possible and if so, how?

    Thanks in advance.

As long as your data Services (under manage connections > Mobile Network Options) are lit, you will receive data via Wi - Fi.  When you turn on your Mobile network, you are turning ON the ability to receive calls and texts.  If you do not require these two features to be active (and therefore guarantee 100% that you use not any network data), then let your off Mobile network.  As you said, leaving the disabled Mobile network is similar to airplane mode.

I hope that clears up any confusion.  Please post back if I'm not understanding something.

  • How to share internet with router wireless and host of Win 7

I need to share my internet connection Windows 7 via a wireless router? I would like to share with the other win 7 and Ibook and iphone.

It is not clear from your question if you already have a wireless router or intend to buy one.  If you have the instructions with it should help you to get it implemented.  Whatever it is, the following may help: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/set-up-a-wireless-router

On edit: I just noticed you used the words 'Win 7 host' in the post title.  If you use a Windows 7 computer wireless router is just one of many possible devices connected to the router and the incoming internet connection sharing.  If you try to set up a wireless network without using a router, the following may help: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/What-is-a-computer-to-computer-ad-hoc-network
