• How to set the default text for a text entry area dynamically?

  I do a simulation and grabbing a my user text entry.  I store in a variable and you want to use as the default text for a text entry later in the simulation box.  It seems like it would need current for a software simulation.  However, I don't see a way to set the default text.  If I put the variable in a legend, I would use the syntax $$variablename$ $.  I tried to fix this in the text by default, but it did not work.  It is not interpreted as a variable.  Does anyone do this?  Please share.  Thank you.

  I had a need to do that as well... put a variable as default text name in a TBE field.

  The typ_tof_des_text that I created with a constructor function, so that the record-level validation are performed in the constructor. And I think the postings between several records shall be made in a constructor for typ_tbl_des_tex, but cannot figure out how to create such a constructor.

  For the standard tables in PL/SQL, you will need to create your own API (using procedures and functions) to handle beyond the basics provided by the language. No constructors and methods as it is no o - o.

  It is not a built-in feature, so I suspect an add-on, possibly from Conversations. Run Safe Mode (hold SHIFT when you start TB) and see if it persists.

  I know that you can drag the item out of the table container.  Change the default value on this scalar element.  Then drag the item in table tank.

  Basically, you must also create a Windows DLL that exports the same functions. These functions can be empty stubs if you do not want to run the code correctly on Windows, otherwise you will need to consider how to implement the equivalent functionality on the Windows API.

  Then you can write in your node library call as the name of the library ". "*" and the name of the shared library Windows ".dll" while the Linux version is called "name of your library > .so".
