How to start a PowerCLI Script automatically

I'm looking for a way to automate a PowerCLI script start.  For example, starting with the most basic scripts such as:

Get-VM-name MyVM

I want to have a file that I can click on my desktop that starts PowerCLI, running connect-VIServer and connects to my server, gives the appropriate credentials to connect, then running my

Get-VM-name MyVM

script.  It could be a batch (.bat) windows file that would start with powershell and run a .ps1 file, in the process of passing all the arguments appropriate for authentication, etc. or another strategy.

Take a look at this article.  Step 3 review the batch file to create and your authentication options.

  • How to start, stop, and restart automatically

    Hello

I'm Pramod.S, I PCI - 5154 digitizer, I'm acquirng data now my question is I want to acquire the data for say 1 min to stop, after the gap of 2: I want to start acquirng again automatically for 1 min. can you please guide me in this way. I'll be gratefull if you send examples to demonstrate this feature.

    Pramod Hello,

Regarding your question on the acquisition of a min, wait 2 minutes and acquires again for a minute, you'll need to create a program to control the acquisition and away. Is there a programming language you will use to control the acquisition?

A simple control may use the function time in LabVIEW feature to see how long the acquisition has run before deciding to interrupt the acquisition and become inactive for 2 minutes. A simple implementation to start is attached.

    Hope this helps

  • How to start a local HTML5 file automatically as a link?

Hi, I started to learn the DPS two weeks ago and had a lot of fun. But yesterday, I had a problem how to start a weblink autmaticially. The checkbox in the control panel overlay creator to enable auto-start does not clicking on it. And the default is inactive. The other boxes in the Panel do not react too. This problem would be an InDesign bug? Basically, what I tried to do... .i inserted a HTML5 local file as an weblinki l is shown on my iPad after synchronization. But I have to tap on it to show the HTML content - but I want to start automatically.

Thanks for your comments. I hope you, someone could help me.

Something is wrong with your Setup. Try removing the InDesign preferences. If this does not work, try to uninstall and reinstall the tools DPS.

  • Run the script automatically when Windows goes into hibernation or wakes up?

    Hello

I use the group policy feature in Windows XP to run scripts automatically when you open a session or logoff.

But it is also possible to make a script run automatically, whenever a Windows-xp machine is about to Hibernate? And also when it wakes up from hibernation?

    The clues how to proceed?

A funny hibernation is that if you put into hibernation and power then upwards and don't 'do' nothing - like press a key or move the mouse (just to sit and watch), in 300 seconds (5 minutes), XP will go back into Hibernation automatically.  Try it!

XP does because after it comes out of Hibernation, if XP detects that there is nothing to 'do', he thinks he might be from Hibernation by accident and goes back to "sleep" and said "why you wake me up?

That's why when people hibernate during the night and their machine turn on the morning he wakes up, they make their coffee or breakfast and return later to see that they have the power of their machine again.  If they think something is wrong, but things are working as expected.

One way to fix this, is to use a third-party tool that uses the command line to simulate a mouse movement.   It is enough to prevent the rehibernating while you are on XP.

To simulate a movement of the mouse as soon as your system is equipped with Hibernation, you will need to download the nircmd.exe file.

There are many other utilities of vouchers on NirSoft main page:
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/

To simulate the movement of the mouse, download the file nircmd.exe here

    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/nircmd2.html

Put the nircmd.exe file in a folder which is somewhere in your path (c:\windows\system32, etc.) or consult the path in your command file. I put the nircmd.exe file in my c:\tools folder where I keep other things.

If you do not have Hibernate enabled in your Power Options, tab hibernation, it will put your system on Stand-By instead of Hibernation.

Create a batch file (I called mine hibernate.bat and put the nircmd.exe in my c:\tools folder) and put this line in your hibernate.bat file:

    off @echo
    Powrprof.dll, SetSuspendState c:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe Hibernate
    c:\tools\nircmd.exe 10 10 movecursor
    movecursor-10 c:\tools\nircmd.exe - 10

Save the new file hibernate.bat on your desktop or somewhere, you can retain and double-click it to run the batch file.  When you are sure that it works very well, and then drag the new desktop icon to your quick launch area (to the right of the button start), change the icon, rename, etc, so it looks a bit better and then you can click on new quick launch when icon to call the file hibernate.bat.  Now just remember to use the hibernate.bat file (which could be on your desktop with a nice icon) instead of the menu to turn off the computer.

The first command will put the system into hibernation, and then when XP comes from hibernation (even days later), run the following commands in the batch file.  These last two commands will simulate a slight mouse movement and who will deceive XP into thinking there is a reason to get out of hibernation and it will not go back to sleep.  Then when you come back from your coffee, your system is always waiting for you.

If your case, your hibernate.bat might look something like:

    off @echo
    order 1 run before hibernation
    2 run before hibernation command
order 3 to run before hibernation

    Powrprof.dll, SetSuspendState c:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe Hibernate

order 4 to run when coming out of hibernation
command 5 to run when coming out of hibernation
order 6 to run when coming out of hibernation

  • Start the host program automatically starts the RT program

    Hey guys,.

I'm in a test phase and wanted to ask if it is possible to start the RTW program automatically, when I start my host VI. I don't have any executable for the moment because I am in the test phase, but I only want to support on "the button execute on the host VI and start (RT and HOST) screws.

Is that possible or do I have to press two buttons to run?

    Kind regards

    Slev1n

As Crossrulz notes, LabVIEW RT is essentially to another computer, does not Windows but rather running a real-time operating system (if on PharLap an Intel processor, often a version of Linux on FPGA hardware, I think).  It has always been necessary for these targets of RT to be 'on' and 'something', of course.  In the early days of LabVIEW Real-time, they sat often slowed down and you would use VI server to download and launch your RT code on them.  With the advent of the LabVIEW project (much) better to manage the objectives of the RT as, OR goes to a slightly different model where, as Crossrulz points out, the RT Code is supposed to be downloaded to the target and configured to start automatically running when the target is powered.

In development Mode, there are provisions to download ("Deploy") and start the target RT and (theoretically), it should be possible to do it programmatically.  I tried to do this, but it was noticeably awkward that I have "gave in" and (except when in development Mode) practical to develop recommended follow-up of OR deploy and defined as starting on the target of RT.

The idea, of course, is that if you know that the target RT is running when you start the host, the target should wait for the host to send a signal saying ' Hi, Target, are you ready to start working with me? (the target, of course, answered "Sure, let's get started...") »).  How to set up the first handshakes, it is up to you.

Note that this model assumes / requires that until the host stops, it informs the RT target that she came out, allowing target RT back to its State "in expectation of the host."  A really simple way to do this, of course, is for the host to tell the target to reboot, which in fact boost its Startup Code (which is the target RT program).
