How to stop automatic selection in Windows Media Player

Original title: stop auto playlists

For the last few days everytime I turn on my Windows media player 12 it begins to generate playlists I want. When I delete the playlists to the player they reappear just at a later date. The Player responds slowly to all the tasks asked of him because she is constantly generating these not - ask for playlists. How can I get the player to stop doing this?

You seriously telling us that Microsoft has not a prepackaged Windows Media Player Codec Pack which can be downloaded from a Microsoft site, what your position is for us to download from a site know us nothing and take our chances on getting a virus?  Really?  The least we could do is to recommend a no from which to download Microsoft site.  Which would at least give some confidence that we won't get caught by the other site.

Media Player never download MS CODECs. Those who are already included in Win7. 3rd party CODECs always had to be downloaded separately or have been installed along with media related applications that use. 3rd party CODECs are subject to other fees for licensing, copyright of parties with a few being free or free. Downloaded codec packs do not necessarily include a legal copy of copyrighted codecs and installers can also replace your legitimate functional codecs with illicit or obsolete versions, or poor quality hacks.

Install FFDSHOW instead and you probably won't need any other CODECs. http://ffdshow-tryout.sourceforge.NET/

    Hello

What operating system is installed on the computer?

You can delete the database that could have damaged.
To do this, follow these steps:

Note: I suggest to save the songs and try the following steps.

    Step 1:

    a. exit Windows Media Player.

    b. Click Start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player and then click OK.

    c. Select all files in the folder, and then click delete on the file menu.

Note you don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.

    d. restart Windows Media Player.

Note Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

    Step 2

If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. exit Windows Media Player.

    b. Click Start, click Run, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft and then click OK.

    c. Select the folder Media Playerand then click delete on the file menu.

Apple makes it pretty easy to transfer songs to iTunes from Windows Media Player. All you have to do is add your folder music in your iTunes library. If the songs are MP3 files, they are automatically imported. If you have WMA files, iTunes will offer to convert the files into a format supported iTunes. Here's a complete tutorial on the transfer songs from Windows Media Player, iTunes.

  • How to disable the pop up "Windows Media Player cannot download the information on the media... "after the extraction of a CD without activation of network connectivity.

When I copy a CD with Windows Media Player, I get the message pop up after the investigation period is over: "Windows Media Player cannot download the media for this CD information. The other titles, artist, and album will be identified as "Unknown" in your library. For best results, connect to the Internet or manually add media for CD information. »

I know that the message appears when I turn on the setting to allow WMP to connect to the internet to get information about the media, but I don't want WMP does. What I want is a button I can push on the pop-up that says "don't show this message again" (similar to the warnings seen in internet explore). How can I disable this pop-up window without activating the internet connection option.

In case you're wondering, the data from the internet are incompatible in the naming convention so when I rip an audio book, so I can listen to my mp3 player, I can't completely post-processing script because not all of the disks in a set have a coherent on the slopes or even name the disc etc. At least drives marked 'Unknown' is consistent and so easy to script for the reduction to a single MP3 file.

  • Disable the automatic listing in windows media player

I want to disable the autorating of windows media player. I followed the instructions given by Umesh P. on the forum of windows, but it does not work. I want to give my own opinion as I can arrange the files on the basis of the rating but side auto does not allow me. Any help?

It's very frustrating to see the auto side.

    Hey all,.

I found a very simple and effective method to remove windows media player auto rating. I was about to uninstall but then thought to explore further (because have best sound quality windows, Media Player) and found a way to do it.
    Steps to follow:
    1. Select all files
2 give a rating (1 to 5 stars but not "no stars/unrated"). The yellow/gold star is added and the automatic side Blue Star will be deleted.
Not assigning "no stars/unrated" will cause the automatic side Blue Star reappear.
    3. now, you can sort your songs.
    4. all the other songs will be listed as 1 star if you chose 1 star in step 2.
Now, no need to uninstall windows media player. :)
