How to stop we reload automatically a Web site like Drudgereport?
My wifi connection is sometimes choppy (darn that microwave popcorn!) and I hate it when I'm in the middle of reading the Drudge links and it recharges... sometimes change the layout a bit or simply suspended pending an adserver for answer.
Is it possible to prevent this? Tried the freezing of the tab. And for some reason, firefox does not prevent this page from reloading automatically as it does others.
Any ideas?
This site relies on JavaScript to reload the page. There are a couple of Add-ons that can be used to block JavaScript.
The first is NoScript, this default extension is blocking JavaScript on all sites, then you specify which are the sites that you want to run JavaScript. https://addons.Mozilla.org/firefox/addon/NoScript
The second is YesScript, this takes the opposite approach, it allows JavaScript to run on any site, you then specify what you want to block JavaScript on the sites. https://addons.Mozilla.org/firefox/addon/YesScript

created a menu in excel and converted to PDF. How do you charge it to a Web site like godaddy? Completely new to this!
A PDF file is like any other file that you can use on a web site. You can set up a link to the pdf file once you download the PDF file on a site. I heard on the GoDaddy, but really don't know anything about. Your question relates to the use of this site, not PDF as such. More details to help us on how to use on a web site.

How will I know how many times I visited a specific Web site?
I need to know how many times I visited a specific Web site. How can I do in Safari? Thanks much for any help.
You could try your history unless you delete history after each session.
Command + Y should open Safari history or in the Safari menu bar, click on: history > view history
Otherwise, find how many times you have visited a site specific Web is impossible.

Some complex web sites like Huffington Post dot com home page load slowly. When that finally they load and you attempt to open a tab, many refuse to load. Blue circle continues to go round and round in a clockwise direction. The box in the bottom left of the screen says "Waiting for ' or 'Read' or ' transfer of" and the name of another web site that apparently contributes to the page. But nothing is happening for several minutes. The more common a 'suspended upward", it is called pixel.quantserve.com. Several attempts to "Reload Tab" do not help. This problem is not present in Internet Explorer itself. Have run AVG anti-virus several times and no viruses have been detected.

I use a mac pro 2x3GHz. I don't know what I did, but since a few days I was not able to play videos from web sites like youtube. Can you help me?
Hello joebat,
It seems that some of your plugins (Shockwave Flash 10.1 r102) might be buggy or obsolete. To check for updates, please visit the plugincheck page. If this does not resolve the problem, try to start Firefox with the disabled modules and see if it helps at all. If so, delete the Shockwave Flash plugin and maybe reinstall or uninstall Firefox and do a new clean install.
If that is not yet solved the problem, try the following troubleshooting steps: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-mac.htmlThank you for your patience and please let me know how it goes.

How to stop reading GIF animation in web pages?
Various Web sites shows many images available for download. Some of these images are animated GIF files. These files take time to load and chew a lot to my limited use download. IE Explorer let me see a single image for the GIF but do not load or play the GIF. How can I get this same setting in Mozilla Fire Fox?
Hello vyoumans,
I found two different ways that this can be done.
1. This firefox addon, Toggle animated GIF images, seems to work pretty well. CTRL + m activates / deactivates the animations on and outside.
2. If you do want to install an addon, you can go to your browser configuration file. type of topic: config in the address bar and find the image.animation_modeentry. Double click on it and set its value to none. This should clear all GIF animations

Stop videos of auto-jouer on web sites like CNN
While browsing CNN videos (down) load & play automatically wasting my bandwidth and especially my time. Is there an effective way to block this type of behavior with Safari 9.1.2 on my MBP of end of 2008? I installed AdBlock and AdBlock Ultimate with no apparent effect.
TIA... Bill Graham
CNN uses several different video players in their inline code, and so far I was not able to gag them. This is nonsense on the server side and the browser may have no control over what CNN grows with us. A surefire way to stop the imposed videos is to find another site with informative reports news, responsible and unbiased. I have used CNN for a very long while, and the content of the web site has finally I pushed further.

Gow I stop Firefox from opening a Web site that crashed or stop it when I restart?
Sometimes a Web site is not responding, I close firefox manually, usually a c; tab dare on my windows pc. When I restart firefox, it goes back to this site, rather than 'well, it's embarrassing...'. y at - it a way to stop this. When I close my firefos, I have it set to clear the history. You helpr oe can shed some light?
Thank you.Firefox will automatically try to restore the tabs and windows from last session if an accident occurred or Firefox does not close properly the last time.
If the session blocks once, then you will get the page "well, it's embarrassing" (topic: sessionrestore) the next time you start Firefox.
You can set the pref browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes to 0 on the subject: config page in order to get the about: sessionrestore page immediately with the first start after a collision has occurred or the Task Manager was used for the closing of Firefox. This way, you see if the previous session is not close properly or it crashed and deselects the tabs that you do not want to reopen, but will reopen the other tabs.
If you cannot start Firefox, then you can add this line to the file prefs.js to prevent Firefox to restore the last session automatically.
user_pref ("browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes", 0);
