Tecra A4 - audio noise. URGENT!

Hello
last week, I bought my new tecra a4-168
but there is audio noise when I play the audio CD, mp3, midi...
I tried the helmet and it's the same problem (which means that it is not the fault of speakers)
I tested all the files on other PCs and they were very good.
I tried to disable powermanagment but the problem remains the same, I also updated the bios.

the audio driver version is 5.12.1.5240

Hello

I can't imagine that this problem is on the first day. You did notice since when this noise persists? On this path, it is not easy to say why this sound produced what may be the reason.

I put t believe that noise occur because of the sound card. If there is no success, change audio settings don't try to reinstall the unit with recovery CD. If the problem persists it is definitely a hardware failure and the unit can be checked by the service partner. The warranty will cover all costs.

  • Tecra A9 - background noise when recording an audio file

Anyone know how to get a clear his record on a Toshiba Tecra A9? All my voice recordings are of low quality.

How have you tried to record the voice? Did you use the internal microphone or external microphone?
In my opinion it s one question of configuration mic or sound.

The IJC to advanced options that you should play a little with the Mic Boost and Mic2, select settings.
On my device the Mic Boost is activated and the quality is ok.

  • Tecra A4 Audio Jack sizes

    Hi all

I recently bought a Tecra A4. My plug stereo audio 3.5 mm (that I used with my laptop computer players and previous music) can not get into the audio jack of the Tecra. There seems to be a sort of "obstruction" in decision-making.

I've had the laptop returned during the initial period of 14 days. However, the laptop next sent me has had the same problem.

Could someone please advise me on what's going on?

    See you soon
    Khim.

    Hello Khim

I'm really confused with the description of your problem. AFAIK all laptops have the same dimension of audio input jack (the same standard audio port). I put t know what laptop, you had before, but there is no difference. Important is that audio is well inserted in the port audio (jack whole). Right now, it will work correctly.

I tried my helmet in many other portable (various manufacturers) in my office and it works perfectly.

    Good bye

  • Tecra A4: fan noise

    Hello
I have a new laptop Tecra A4 with a processor P740 and am concerned enough by the noise of the fan.

I have tried many operations to cool the laptop, including:
-clock down to 800 Mhz processor
    v down the processor 0, 732V
-clock to the bottom of the ATI graphics card.

However, even with these restrictions, the fan works regularly in order to cool the CPU.

I have not found any fan monitoring software that works with this Tecra.
I've seen some users Dell face the same issues and that Dell developed a specific BIOS to resolve this (in mode AC, the fan can run constantly, but at a very low speed).
I hope Toshiba works too on this topic...

    Hello

I didn't see the new Tecra A4, but you can try to use the properties of standby power settings. Here you can change the method of cooling. Try to set it to the lower level.

  • Tecra A3: display noise

    Hello

I have a new Tecra A3, Centrino 1.6 760 MB of RAM, Win XP Pro SP2.
A few days ago a weird problem started, where I started to see grains in the display. White flicker i.e. small spots all over the screen, similar to the TV noise when there is no station tuned. In addition, all fonts are thick/serrated, double-edged, color gradations are not at all normal.

I thought it was a driver issue screen, not so used, uninstall, install the latest drivers from Toshiba, Intel, but nothing is. Previously it was intermittent. Sometimes it starts with a normal display, sometimes the problem.
Now, every time, it starts with the noise.

I also noticed a when I turn on the laptop, I turned off the logo in the bios, so I don't see the memory check during POST. All these policies, at this point is are shredded.
If an operating system problem is excluded. Even the XP windows logo during boot a whitish flickering.
As a last resort, I tried upgrading the BIOS v 2.10. but no use.

Can someone please say or I might have to turn in controls of the Toshiba svc Center, which would take a few days.

    Hello

Well well, in my opinion it s a hardware malfunction. I guess this problem may be the FL inverter but I m not 100% sure. The FL inverter is a spare low cost part and very easy to replace.
You must contact the after-sales Service of Toshiba partner. They have more practical knowledge in this case.

  • Tecra M2 - strange noise abnormal notebook

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I received my new Tecra M2 two days ago. As I started using it, I noticed a strange noise coming from the laptop. I'm QUITE sure that's NOT the hard drive or fan, as it seems odd and it's a constant noise. Noise is also quite noisy and annoying, it sounds like a mobile phone signal! Could you tell me what could be the problem and how to solve?

    Thank you very much

    Hello
I also had a problem with noise if my M2 has been linked to a portreplicator. The solution was the number of Microsoft Hotfix KB822603. I hope this will help you.

  • Tecra A8: audio stutters during playback of CD/DVD on Win2K

We recently started having the laptop Tecra A8 and we run Win2K on them. Everything works well except during playback of CD audio or DVD. Audio stutters really bad (worse with DVD to CD).
I tried to remove the silent acoustics and re - install the audio drivers but same problem.
As a test, I put the WinXP preinstalled on one, and then there is no problem. May be driver related issue, but we do not have the best experiences using XP drivers on a Win2K machine.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know on the Tecra A8 has been preloaded with a Realtek HD Audio driver.
I guess you also need the same kind of audio driver for W2k.
This unit uses a link high-definition audio, and I think you'll need driver that supports this chip.

See the Toshiba driver for W2k drivers page. In addition if you don t use the Toshiba Recovery CD you need to install all the drivers of Toshiba in the right order. Please see the installation instructions and follow this guideline.

  • Tecra M9 - audio drivers for Windows Server 2003

    Hello

Even though I know that the m9 does not officially support Server2003, I loaded and it works fine. However, I am looking for audio drivers that I could use. Any suggestions?

    Hello!

To get the audio driver, you must look to external Web sites because Toshiba does not have drivers for server operating system.

AFAIK the Tecra M9 has a Realtek sound card then look on the Realtek site:

  • How to add stereo audio noise in hearing

So, here's the deal. I recorded an interview outside in the woods for a video that I produce. It's video and audio. Fortunately, I also "room tone", or in this case, your "forest". But in post-production, I discovered that I needed some new audio that person, whom I interviewed. So, I sent them my recorder and tie to mimic the original as much as possible interview audio. He went to a closet in disarray inside his house to record this new audio. So now I have this large wav file. But I want to add this 'tone of the forest' in the file wav in hearing. So it's a bit like noise reduction, except that I'm trying to add noise in. I can't quite figure out what to do.

You must find the longer strand of tone of the forest without any other noise on this as you can and pass it in multitracks to make it last the duration of your new audio. You find that you need to overlap a few curls slightly to avoid the obvious of the loop joins noise, but with a little experience it generally works better than you might think. If you can find multiple bits and link them in the same way, it will be even better.

On another track, add your new audio. Go to the mixer and adjust the levels to taste. And when you read both, you'll find yourself with the sound of a closet in a forest. And that, I fear, we cannot help you!

  • Tecra A2 - audio lost and cannot find the device

The other day, lost all the sounds on the laptop. Nothing else did it and no new software has been loaded for possibly in conflict or cause a problem. Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall the driver and add hardware (Media Audio Controller) even one time, but system now can't find the (impossible to install this hardware) device.

You have any recommendations as to the difficulty.

    Thank you

    Hello

Have you tried reinstalling the audio driver with the driver of one or the other of Toshiba?

In addition, it would be interesting to know what operating system you have.
There is a yellow exclamation marks in Device Manager now?

Maybe you should try to update the BIOS too. If it doesn t work it seems to be time to reinstall Windows. Maybe something messed with the registry or the system.

    Hi SonicYouth,

check your PowerSaver settings? There is the possibility to create different power saving profiles and maybe on that your system is set up that HARD drive must close or the monitor should stop?

Do you have this problem too when you plug in the adapter?

  • Tecra M3 audio problems

A colleague asked me to study why his laptop is not play any audio. It is a portable 3 / 4 years, and colleague does not know if the sound has never worked, so I'm not particularly confident in getting going - I suspect that it is flat since new, but you never know.

It seems that there is no audio device not installed - in device under sound, audio Manager and game controllers all I have just listed are:
    * audio codecs
    * legacy audio codecs
    * capture devices video legacy
    * multimedia control devices
    * video codecs
    There is no "unknown" devices

If I download and try and install the latest orders from the Toshiba site, the soundmax installation begins, but he told me "the driver does not exist! Restart your system and run this installer again"- This allows to achieve the same thing.
I updated to SP3, installed the latest version of the BIOS and got all the other updates the window and still nothing.

Strange thing is that if I plug a USB headset, he plays sound with no problem.

Can anyone shed light on what might be wrong and possibly suggest a fix?
    Thank you
    Ed Ludlow

Have you updated the drivers, BIOS, and operating system?

As Feliks said, maybe you should try a recovery with the Toshiba recovery media facility.
    Hope this can help you.

Recently, my son plugged his headphones Turtle Beach X 12 in the front USB and my computer's audio input. Since he took the helmet, I have had no audio of my Logitech speakers.  When I click the speaker icon to get out of trouble, I get this message: "material changes may not have been detected." When I go to my control panel to manage my audio devices, I get a message that says no audio device is installed. I tried the simple things like the removal and reinstallation of my speakers and tries a recovery to date before my son his headphones plugged the computer, but those who have not yet worked. I have to uninstall and reinstall my sound card?

    Hello

Which could be necessary, but first, first try the software road. Try the steps in this tutorial and see if that solves the problem: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-IN/windows/no-sound-help#no-sound=windows-7&v1h=win8tab1&v2h=win7tab1&v3h=winvistatab1&v4h=winxptab1 .
