How to stretch to fill the screen?

I have some old games I like to play. Myst, Riven etc, they seams to run better in VMware. The problem I have is that they play a low resolution of 640 x 480. I can't understand how to get VMware stretches to fit my screen. I have a screen 1920 x 1080 and a small window from 640 x 480 to play my game.

The games are locked in this resolution, so even with vmware tools installed it give me a giant black bars all around my screen in 640 x 480 mode full-screen. Window mode giving me just a small window to 640 x 480.

The only way I know arould this is to decrease the resolution of my host, and it's a little hassle to do whenever I want to play a game.

Or in other words, I just thought to was to install UltraVNC server on my Vmware and client on my host, then since. But it is more work then just change the resolution of my host.

AnyIdeas?

VMware Workstation > edit > Preferences... > view > fullscreen > comments (o) Stretch (no change of resolution) spans the comments screen to fill the home screen.

    Hello, Russell

Windows Media Center will use as possible while maintaining the proportions of screen space. If you have a TV screen and watch a video 4:3 standard, it will keep the bars on the side.

You can change the level of zoom in now the keys CTRL and shift and press 'Z' to scroll through the different zoom levels so that it fills the entire screen at your convenience, but keep in mind that you will not be able to see the full image if the proportions of the video does not match your TV.

The size of the window for Hearts is actually design in Windows XP.

    b. click Start, all programs, games.

    c. right-click on the game of hearts .

    d. Select Properties from the list.

    e. press the button find the target on the next window.

    f. right click on the highlighted file and select copy.

    g. then paste the copy on your desktop.

    h. right click on your desktop.

    i. Select Paste from the list.

    Step 2

Finally, we will change the resolution for the game setting:

    a. right click on the game you just pasted on your desktop.

    b. Select Properties from the list and click the Compatibility tab.

    c. put the check box marked "run in 640 x 480 screen resolution.

    d. now whenever you want to play, click on that game on your desktop and it opens in mode full screen using the widest possible cards and numbers.

  • How can I make my web page to fill the screen whole browser independently instructor he is seen,

I noticed that some Web sites is designed so that the page expands to fill the entire screen, regardless of the size of the screen. Here is an example: https://www.draft2digital.com/support/

I saw the tutorial of Muse that widens the footer area to fill the entire screen, but it does not address the procedure for the main part of the web page, or the head. I looked at the section of the site configuration and do not see where I could put its expansion.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

Well, in your link blue bars would be in muse as a blue box and then drag the right side so that it stamps just outside your area of the page. This will make the muse schedule it so that you will always see stretch to fill the browser window. Do the same on the left and you should be good. It works even better if you also Center the rest of your content in the page properties page, fill – check the box to Center horizontally. All content that you want to extend with the browser, while the rest remains centered, you will need to drag extending content so snap just outside the homepage of muse.

    I hope this helps.

  • How to make Web pages to fill the screen. I have margins of three inches on each side.

When I open a page with IE, I get a view full screen of a web page. When I open a page with firefox, it is a smaller with the fine print version and margins of the great 3 inches. This is a new computer with Windows 7. I did not have this problem with Firefox on my old computer with XP. I currently have Firefox 3.6.16.

Firefox is not zoom the pages automatically to fill the screen.

  • Games running in lower resolution on the desktop resolution does not fill the screen

I have a laptop HP ENVY 17 TS with NVIDIA GT 740 M and Intel 4600HD graphics drivers and running Windows 7. Whenever I want to change the resolution in games at a lower resolution on the desktop resolution, the game shrinks to its view, leaving the couple of inches black bars on the edges. For example, if my the desktop resolution is 1920 x 1080 and I want to start a game in 1600 x 900, the game does not fill the screen, instead, it leaves an amount of empty space on the edges of the screen.

In order to solve this problem, I tried the following steps:

I first tried to locate the view tab in the NVIDIA Control Panel in order to define the scale/stretch in "Full screen", but my version of NVIDIA CP isn't the view tab (my NVIDIA drivers are the latest version).

Then I discovered that I should do this in the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel. My Intel HD Graphics CP has an option named "Calibration" under display > display settings and it doesn't show the option to retain display scaling that is checked by default and does not change. Also, after searching the Internet I saw that some people suggested entering the 'advanced settings' and try to make changes. When I try to enter advanced settings, under view, it says 'this screen does not support advanced settings'.

After trying without success, I tried the update driver Intel via their website, hoping that it can fix the problem. I ran the small Intel application on their Web site that identifies my chipset and offers me the latest driver for this chipset. Web site told me that the driver is installed on my computer is 10.18.10.3304, and there is an update for what is 15.33.18.64.3496 (or 10.18.10.3496). So I downloaded the file, but when I tried to run, it gave me this error message: "the drivre being installed is not validated for this computer. You can get the correct driver from the manufacturer of the computer. Setup will now exit. "that makes no sense.

After trying the above steps, I'm not able to solve the problem, and I need help from someone who really knows how to solve this problem.

    Thank you.

    Solution (I hope)

    1. choose the properties of the graphic (logo Intel) option when you right click on the desktop

    2. go in view

    3. go through the resolutions on the 'Resolution' and change to this resolution (do not click Apply)

    4. for everyone to go to 'Scaling' at the bottom of the screen and change it to scale full screen (do not click Apply)

    5. Repeat until you get back to the higher resolution (that won't let you change the scale).

    6. quickly choose a few resolutions from the drop-down menu to make sure that they have changed their scale.

I had a problem with some resoultions changing the way they were, but which should solve most of the problems.

  • iMac (21.5 inch, mid 2011) programs do not fill the screen

My windows does not fill the screen, as in there is a small strip at the bottom of my screen which is my desktop wallpaper (screenshot of control to the footer of this website) any application that I use, I still see a bunch of my wallpaper down. I love being able to see my toolbar I have a few apps running for the supervision of different things, which is why I do not enter the mode full screen as it hides everything. Is there a solution to this? I can drag the window down a little and then stretch her so it fills the screen, but a simple refresh my browser or a change in the program, it will break again with the small bar at the bottom again.

  • Fill the screen at a resolution high/native

At the highest resolution (1920 x 1200, in my case), many web pages, which, only partially fill the screen... FaceBook only fills the third Center of the screen... Raise the CIO only seems to increase fonts around the borders... All boards of education seem to indicate I'm better off to native (1920 x 1200) screen resloution, but she shoots advantage of the size of my screen, and no ONE sitting with me can read the type... It is ideal for photos/videos, but not very good for reading... Any ideas on how to use the native resolution of this monitor fantasy and still have easy to use on a daily basis?

    Thank you very much

    Hello

This does not mean that you must set the resolution all the time at the highest setting. Put it in a position that
the best works for you. CTRL + CTRL - and CTRL mouse wheel all work as a ZOOM.

    I hope this helps.

  • Program BACK in Guest XP on Windows 7 does not fill the screen

    Hello world

I have a quite unique due to many circumstances situation and several months of research to get to a decent workaround.

I have a tool written in Basic for MS-DOS. I need to use this tool and the interface with the files created in Windows 7. VMWare Player with no very good support for sharing files between DOS with Windows 7 clients, I have opted for a guest of Windows XP on my computer Windows 7 host and who go through the program. In this way, I can share files between XP and 7 and run the program correctly in the XP VM. Note that this program doesn't work at all on Windows 7 due to some problems graphics driver, hence the need for such a solution.

When I run the XP VM, it is able to match the resolution as expected. However, when I open the program BACK, he is not full screen as it does on a native XP machine or even a VM XP in VMWare Fusion on a Mac. Is there a way to force it to fill the screen? The graphics full screen are vital for visibility - I can barely see anything on the screen of dinky little 640 x 480 without blowing up to its maximum potential.

I tried several other options, including a Windows VM (I'm under Windows 7 Enterprise) and DOSBOX. Windows VM has the same problem resolution in addition to requiring the integration of features enabled to share files and requiring the same integration disabled features in order to run the program and the DOSBOX not full screen but the performance is much too slow to be practical (it is similar to take 2 minutes to scroll through a web page that is several pages a notch long) even at maximum settings.

Please no suggestions ' do you have the printer "-I am part of a team of average size on how it works and it's pretty much the last roadblock after several months of work. We probably tried everything which is immediately obvious, including the recompilation of the source code for the program BACK (that we had to do anyway to remove a lock imposed by a society that no longer exists).

The closest that I have is to reduce the resolution of the host Windows 7 in 800 x 600, which makes the VM a bit larger but still not quite full screen. I try to activate the VGA 640 x 480 mode, I guess? Even in this case, however, the need for constantly changing screen resolutions makes this solution less than ideal.

Thank you for all the suggestions/help.

    Do I understand correctly:

-It is an application with a fixed resolution of 640 x 480 fullscreen

-You want that he developed the scale to fit to your screen

As far as I KNOW, VMware Player is not just what to do.

There is a tutorial in the section documents for a workaround (using the changer display to automatically change the resolution of the host).

  • Fill the screen is too big

When I zoom to fill the screen, the window develops under the layers panel.  Is there a way to stop on the Panel and not under it?

    Hi lesmuse,

Welcome to the forum. Looks like you need to learn how to manage your panels in Photoshop. Here's a video that shows you how to organize and reorganize your dashboards:

It might help to learn more about the use of the zoom so tool. This video, work with the Zoom tool, is part of a set of videos on Adobe TV, which will get you places and running in Photoshop.

    I hope this helps!

You should be able to set your size of more than 100%.  Nothing special needs to be done, but drag the number or type one in.  I've never had it works NOT for me.

  • InDesign CS4 window fills the screen when opening

I just installed Adobe CS4 Design Premium version 6.0.3.  When I open a document using InDesign, the window almost fills the screen 30 "on my Apple HD Display.  I would like to set the window size so that it frames a document of 8.5 "x 11" portrait with only a bit of margin all around. "  When I do that, and you save the document, it always opens to the same, large window.  It would be much more effective that I could put the size of the window to the required dimensions so that it would open in this configuration and not in the large version.  I can't get there.  Any ideas?  Thanks for any help you can give.  I am running 10.5.7 on a Mac Pro (early 2008) with 2 GB of RAM and a lot of hard disk space.

  • Firefox does not fill the screen

    Hello

Yesterday I had Firefox and explore (ugh!) browsers open at the same time, as I just changed my site on Yahoo Small Business Solutions and Firefox would not save the changes (as a result, the opening of Explorer.) After I finished with the Web site changes, I noticed that there are some changes on my page of Firefox. It does not fit my screen by about 1/4 "on the sides and bottom, and the top is not complete as if it was - the office's bleeding through in empty space up there. Help, please! Thanks, Qz

Open Firefox-> click the maximize button to fill the screen completely-> close Firefox

    • Restart Firefox
    • Now, the window should open maximized

Check and tell if its working.

  • My smaller websites, do not fill the screen. Print too small. Changing the font in 'Options' does nothing.

I have downloaded Firefox and IE. With IE, my home page fills the screen and I can adjust the display size (police). Now with Firefox, the homepage (FOX News) is crumpled in the middle with very small print and I can't find hoe to adjust the display.

You can use an extension to set a page zoom and the size of the default font on the web pages.
