• How to connect to the server from VPN Windows Sever?

  Hey guys, I recently created my own VPN server to connect to my home network using Windows Server 2003. I know I probably still need to do this if I don't know what I have to do, but how to connect to the server, or at least set it up in order to be logged in? I think I got the computers communicating with each other, but I think that I am running into errors of authentication. Could someone point me in the right direction with regard to what I have to do what I already have Setup? Thanks in advance.

• Server 2008 r2 domain through IP locations & Internet Connectivity when domain server (internet down instead)

  Sorry for the long title: p

  I recently picked up a non-profit operations in the city with offices in three locations in the city.

  We have a network domain server and exchange server at the main office where I work, and the computers in the other two offices are on the field.

  (I guess that VPN configurations in our routers keep everything connected, but maybe I'm wrong on this issue..)

  My problem is that when the internet at the office of the admin (where the servers are) breaks down, desktop to other locations have DNS problems and cannot connect to internet... and personal devices connected to WiFi that I provide to these places are struggling as well, being able to access only certain sites and sometimes no access at all.

  I think many computers to assign IP addresses, although I have added computers I have built and/or formatted and installed myself that work very well on the field.

  Why computers to the other localities are struggling to DNS and impossible to connect to the internet when the domain server is offline? What can I do to change this? I want our employees to always have internet access if the servers log.

  (Being a non-profit in this city it is the COMPUTER with most of the companies not having budget do not)

  The problem was the result of a secondary DNS server is not located in the router from the same place. My computer guy said Comcast as the secondary where the main DNS (my domain controller) server is not available... problem solved :)

  Hi Losa,

  Please follow the steps below.

  (1) (stop all the EMP process related to all servers, if it is distributed.)

  1.1) before you start the upgrade, please see the 11.1.1.4 installation for pre & Post steps document

  (2) take any Application, data, backups of database Installation files & Hyperion EPM

  3) ask Oracle for Hyperion 11.1.1.4 software.

  Note: It is not available for delivery

  (4) create folders of the Assembly.

  (5) copy the files above to Foundation Server first and trigger the "Install Tool.cmd or sh', depends on your OS

  (6) select the option 'Apply maintenance Release' instead of 'new installation '.

  (7) the steps proposed by the installers.

  8) perform, after the installation steps, if there are

  (9) follow step 1 to 8, if your environment is distributed.

  I get a constant error when I try to promote a Windows Server 2003 guest on a DC on workstation 10.0.4.  The error is:

  "Security Accounts Manager initialization failed because of the following error: failed to start Directory Service." The error status: 0xc00002e1. If please clock OK to shutdown this system and reboot into Directory Services Restore Mode. »

  I get it constantly if I invited a completely clean install of the OS with no patches, an installation of SP2 fully patched or create a clone that is bound to a model - I used this model even many, many times with older versions of VMWare Workstation (on the same host) without problem and have done many installs own on previous versions of workstation without problem , so for the moment I can only assume it's related to something in 10 Workstation, as much as I can follow the same process on VirtualBox to create a domain controller 2003 (using the same installation for clean installation media) and get a DC without any problem with happiness.

  I have good knowledge of the AD and followed the instructions in the Microsoft KB articles (specifically KB258062) for the above error and am able to solve and get AD works fine, but then the next reboot the virtual machine the error returns.

  The log file of the client is attached.

  Any ideas?

  Just put an update here for all the world reference.  I solved this problem and a few others that I had where Server Manager on a server OS comments fails with CLR errors or updates would fail.

  The cause seems to be that I was to store the virtual machines on a Pool of storage R2 Server 2012 (Server R2 2012 is the host machine), where I had a couple of discs actually provide a RAID 0 configuration.  I now divide these discs so that they are quite "normal" disks and I shared my virtual machines manually between the discs and all my problems disappeared.

  This only seemed to affect my SATA III 2 TB disks that I have a couple of SSD in a Storage Pool and they seem to work fine (maybe a speed/cache associated effect?)

  Safari is upgraded when you upgrade your system. There is no installer for stand-alone for Safari. If you run El Capitan your Safari should be version 9.1.2. Otherwise apply the OS X Combo Update 10.11.6.

  The Combo update is a complete installation, as opposed to an incremental "delta" update, so you have to overwrite all files are damaged or missing. It does not matter if you have previously applied. All your data and settings must be kept, but that said, you should always have a backup.

  Unfortunately, your M40 was an OEM XP Home Edition and Onenote installation. This means that products are 'grouped' and you should have a set of recovery CDs or DVDs for you to restore the system in case of hard drive failure or system get damaged somehow.

  Unless you have been provided with a separate recovery for Onenote CD then the only way you can restore is to completely restore the entire system OEM (including XP Home Edition).

  Your other option is to buy your own copy of Microsoft, in which case you will have a non - OEM version that you can then install regardless of the operating system.
