How to uninstall the printer driver
I have a HP Officejet Pro 8600 (N911a) installed on my PC Windows 7 Home Premium and it worked perfectly for several months, but suddenly a few months ago, he began to cause trouble: powering the printer after the PC, the PC could not connect to the printer. Error message: "communication in both directions with the printer is not possible.
I uninstalled the printer, but the driver (x 86) hpvpl09.inf for HP Officejet Pro 8600 was not removed and still stay on my system. I'm trying to remove it with "printui/s/T2", but it is not possible to remove it.
I tried to uninstall the printer and then reinstall it, but my problem persists.
I don't want my printer all the time, but I've start it when I want to print something.
How can I get rid of this driver so that I can reinstall the printer correctly.
Hi bmalm,
I understand that you have a problem remove the printer driver on your computer. I'll try my best to help you with this.
I recommend a level 3 Uninstall using HP Officejet Pro software and driver removal utilityof race.
If the problem persists after running a level 3, I recommend reinstatement of Windows Installer.
Reregister Windows install
Click Start and run, type MSIEXEC/UNREGISTER, and then click OK.
NOTE: even if you do it right, it might look like nothing happens but it does.
Click Start and then click Run.
In the run window, type MSIEXEC/REGSERVER, and then click OK.Then try the uninstall and install again.
I hope this information can help, please let me know.

The error message "printer is off-line" showed a day all of a sudden
I tried to download the driver of scanning and printing doctor as suggested help forum, never downloaded.
The download (or Install) window presented with percentage bar.
but the percentage remains at 0% for 10 minutes.
I thought that something was wrong with the Scan Doctor
I decided to take the alternative; uninstall the current printer driver in my computer (computer laptop HP 'Pavilion', Windows8).
I uninstalled it then tried to download the same driver on the HP site.
It is same as the pilot of scanning and printing doctor;
same window, "0% download" forever.
Now, I'm totally at a loss. Have what wrong I done? How can I make my printer work again or how do I know what is the problem?
The driver is big enough, I would say save to disk, and then run the installation program. You could do a right click on the link here, select "Save as", then download the file. Depending on your internet speed, it make take some time downloading. If it doesn't for you please specify exactly what is happening when you try to download the file, and any error messages see you.

Cannot uninstall the printer driver
I installed a Samsung universal and now impossible to uninstall with Windows 7 printer driver. I removed the printer and still no luck. I read your previous posts and pointed out that the Windows cleanup utility apparently in is no longer available. How can I remove this driver?
Hi Peter,.
Uninstalling the driver is a little different from the uninstallation of software.
Please follow these steps to remove the driver:
- Unlug the printer and restart the computer
- Use this guide to remove the old driver: http://www.petri.co.il/removing-old-drivers-from-vista-and-windows7.htm
- If you want to use the printer, then install the correct driver now
- Plug the printer back
Kind regards

How to uninstall the printer software
I can't get my printer HP Deskjet 3940v at work; I tried the troubleshooter without result. I want to completely uninstall the printer.
I have the original disc for the printer that it is came with, so if I can remove all of my hard drive then I can re - install the printer and see if that solves the problem. I don't think that the problem lies in the hardware itself. HP offers more support for this printer.
Here is the problem and my question for the forum: (I am a novice) I went to Control Panel then printers and removed the printer from this location. But I don't think that uninstalled everything. I looked in programs and features, and I see there, no program to uninstall. (No HP, no Deskjet, no program to a printer).
I downloaded Revo Uninstaller and it still doesn't show any HP or other programs of the printer on my computer. But there must be something that has to do with the printer still on my computer. I looked in other posts on this site but didn't know what steps to uninstall a printer under Vista.
Can someone tell me the steps to completely uninstall the printer software?
I use Vista Home Premium OS on my Sony Vaio computer.
Hi Mike,.
To help you to propose measures to solve the problem, I would appreciate if you could answer the following question:
Did you do changes on the computer before the show?
You can uninstall and reinstall the printer in Device Manager and check if that does the trick.

So I did the remaining updates (thru 9.4.5)
So here's the question
IS it In any CASE to reinstall the printer Adobe PDF (9.x) driver without completely uninstall/reinstall Acrobat.
(There are a gazillion patches not course if I can deal)
Thanks in advance, xandra
If you are using Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) or 10.7 (Lion), Adobe PDF is replaced.

When cleaning a Windows Vista laptop, I uninstalled the print driver for the HP Deskjet 920 because I thought it was for a different printer is no longer used. Usually, you can just download a driver from the HP website; Apparently, this was included in the software for the computer when it was purchased and cannot be downloaded. There is no way to re - install or I'll simply use another printer?
Try to download the Deskjet 990c driver.
(Shane_R) has a great post on how to do it.
I would like to know if it works.

How to uninstall printer driver that is not installed on the computer
Original title: my "unknown device" is a printer I own is no longer!
To solve the problem "code 28", I have to re - install the driver for HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 - but the printer is no longer installed, and in fact I is even more has the printer. The HP printer appears on the screen "devices and printers", but when I click on the yellow triangle on my laptop device, it brings me to the unidentified printer and the hardware - MF\Officejet_Pro_8500_A910 & WSD & IP_PRINT ID. How can I uninstall a printer that is not installed, or how can I update the driver on a printer that is not installed.
Thanks for reminding me about MalwareBytes and SuperAntiSpyware. I used MalwareBytes a few years ago to kill a particularly tenacious virus that prevented me from my virus program execution. I ran the two--identified only 4 files MalwareBytes and removed and SuperAntiSpyware found 286 tracking cookies - I zapped them.
Now, the best news of all...
Child of a friend's House of the college - he won grants and national contest for his expertise in computers/software diagnosis and repairs as a sophomore in high school. He stopped on the way back to decipher problems with computers on the local school district and spent every three minutes solving my problem. I don't really know what he was doing - he did so quickly - but he said to send you the link and you will understand it better than I could explain it.
http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/remove-old-drivers-after-upgrading-to-new-hardware/
The yellow warning triangle disappeared, and the unidentified printer is no longer there.
I want to thank all those who contributed to this thread - your persistence and patience has been remarkable. I learned a lot from the experience even if I was not able to completely solve the problem. I congratulate you all.
