Dear Sirs,
My computer is running in the windows operating system 8.
Could you help me put up my computer so that I can use it to send and receive faxes.
Thank you.
Kind regards
Yoon Choy Loo
Hi Yoon Choy Loo,
Thanks for posting in Microsoft Communities.
After your description, I understand that you need help setting up the windows 8 in order to send and receive faxes. Let me help you with it.
Please follow the steps below to configure the fax:
- Hold the Windows key + C and type Fax and press ENTER.
- The Fax Configuration Wizard starts. Click Next.
- On the sender information page, type the information that you want to appear on your fax cover page. You don't have to fill in all the boxes. Then, click Next.
- The Fax Configuration Wizard displays the Select Device page to send or receive faxes. If you want to be able to receive incoming faxes, check the box to receive. If the telephone line you logged on to your computer is for faxes only, click on answer automatically after. If you want to manually answer incoming faxes, click Manual answer. Then, click Next.
- On the page of the Subscriber Identification (TSID), type the information you want in the TSID box. In general, it is a company name or your name and fax number. Click Next.
- On the page of the Subscriber called (CSID), type your information in the CSID box. The CSID that you enter is displayed on the fax machine of the origin of the fax. This number allows you to confirm that you send the fax to the right recipient. The CSID is usually the same as the TSID. Click Next.
- In the Routing Options page, choose whether you want to automatically print a fax. If you do not automatically print incoming faxes, they will be available in the Fax Console. Select Print on check box if you want each fax that you receive to be automatically printed. Then, click Next.
- End the SCW fax page, click Finish.
- The Fax Configuration Wizard closes and opens a Windows security alert. If you are prompted, click on unlock.
- Your computer is now ready to send and, possibly, to receive faxes. You can use the fax to go through the incoming or outgoing faxes, or upon receipt of a fax manually.
Please follow the steps below to use the fax on windows 8:
- Open the document, Web page, or e-mail to fax.
- On the file menu, click on print.
- In the print dialog box under Select printer, click Fax, and then click on print.
- In the welcome in the Send Fax Wizard page, click Next.
- On the recipient information page, type the name of the recipient in the box to type the recipient fax number in the fax number box. If you want to send the fax to more than one recipient, type the recipient information in the appropriate boxes, and then click Add. The recipient appears in the list and the areas are cleared so that you can enter additional information about the recipient. When you have finished adding recipients, click Next.
- On the preparation, the cover Page, select Select a page template to cover with the following information box. Click on the model in the cover page template list. Fill area of subject line and, eventually, the box Notes . Then, click Next.
- On the schedule page, click Next.
- End Send Fax Wizard page, click Finish.
The above steps will help you set up your fax machine and use the feature in windows 8.
I hope that the information above helps you. Answer please come back for additional assistance.

I use systec usbmodule1 to send and receive messages CAN one have tried this in labview?, if so can you send me the code
Thank you
Hey,.
All our drivers CAN have been written for CAN of National Instruments hardware (referenced here: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/E2C6ED025C798C5586256F4E00520448 ). So, you will need to manually, code all your communications unless Systec provides a LabVIEW driver. There could be several dll files Systec provides for communication, which you will be able to access through LabVIEW. Take a look at the node of library function call, which is in the range of functions under connectivity-> libraries & executables. Here, you can call a dll file, as well as the different functions in this dll.
I suggest posting your question either on the forum of LabVIEW, as mentioned previously, or on the forum CAN found here: http://forums.ni.com/ni/board?board.id=30

Difficult to send and receive faxes long distances
Hello-
I am running Window Vista Ultimate 32-bit with SP2. I have bad to send and receive faxes. Particularly faxes sent or from another area code (IE over long distances). I have an Agere Systems PCI-sV92PP. I use McAfee antivirus and have followed all the steps using Vista.
I tried to update the driver with no luck. The error code I get when sending, said "cannot be sent due to an unexpected error". "The error I get when receiving is call cannot respond by fax.
Something of note, when you send, if I click on the box next to contacts for formatting a business rule, the country / region default is UK and USA not. I tried to change the sending, but it doesn't seem to help, and I was able to change the default value.
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you
If you are sure that your Modem configuration, drivers and compatibility with Vista, the modem is correct see if a third-party program is causing the problem, maybe McAfee interferes?
When you mention 'long distance' this means that you can send faxes, have you already sent and received a fax with your current settings?

Problems with Windows Live Mail send and receive e-mails
Hello
I am running Windows 7 Home Premium and I used Windows Live Mail 2012 (WLM) for many years without any problems, and I prefer it much to Outlook.com. I have my own personal e-mail account and three other accounts available in WLM. I can send and receive emails from three other accounts, but my own account keeps giving the error message:
Can't send or receive messages on behalf of Clive Read.
Server error: 4402
Server: 'https://mail.services.live.com/DeltaSync_v2.0.0/Sync.aspx '.
Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x8DE00002That being said, I can actually send emails, but cannot receive them-weird!
I spent several hours internet research solutions, including Microsoft pages, forums, etc and later of the end of "solutions" offered in 2013. Many of the suggestions I've tried, without success. I ran other controls have shown that initpki.dll is absent, but I don't know if it's possible causes and, if this is the case, my attempts to locate, re - save or download one have failed.
My version of WLM doesn't have a "Tools" link, and I can't seem to find where the incoming and outgoing port settings. It gets really tedious, so I'd be grateful for all solutions to update to my problem and perhaps an explanation as to what may have caused it in the first place.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Windows Live Mail, send and receive error message: error in Live Mail ID 0x8DE00001
original title: sending and receiving erraticToday I created 2 new email my Live Mail account addresses. Sometimes, I am allowed to send and receive, and at other times, I get an error (Server error 4102) with Live Mail error ID 0x8DE00001. After the repeated efforts to send/receive, a box appears for me to decipher the CAPTCHA letters. Yet once, it takes repeated efforts to have accepted answer. By the same box, told me that I could make verification easier by my cell phone available that I might have a check of the text sent to me. Don't you know, my Cricket phone is not accepted. I had a few problems with Windows Live since put so that it uses a couple of years. Why this problem all of a sudden? I want to prove once and for all I'm not a crook or a spammer. What can I do? It's so frustrating.

In Windows 7, I can send and receive faxes but when someone calls they hear static fax
Hello. IN WINDOWS 7, I CAN SEND AND RECEIVE A FAX, BUT WHEN SOMEONE CALLS ON THIS LINE AS A PHONE CALL, THEY HEAR FAX STATIC AND CANNOT CALL VIA. HOW TO ELIMINATE THIS WHEN I RECEIVE A CALL REGULAR ON THE SAME LINE?
As previously stated the feature seek you, IE automatically switch the call fax or phone to answer, depending on the type of appeal are not a feature of win7 or any fax modem.
There were external devices, you can buy separately put the call to the fax or phone depending on the type of call received.
Personally when I had only the line I would activate only the fax when I received a call that was an incoming fax. IE, hang up the phone, and then activate the fax. Of course this works if you are in the unit.
Its probably easier to get a fax to e-mail service, assuming that you do not want a second line.

Photosmart 7510 - eFax and fresh toll to send and receive faxes
Hi, one of the reasons why I bought my Photosmart 7510, was the free eFax features 20 pages sent and 20 pages receive FREE. So, when I used the eFax for the first time, he gave me a (long-distance) number. I had no other choice but to accept that number. So whenever someone could send me a fax (even if it's in the same area code), they will have to pay toll. It is not too bad. But when I sent a fax to a local recipient (same code regional I), the outgoing fax number (10 digits) turn at the 01 11 then the fax number! If I understand correctly, I had to dial a number of countries to send a fax to my neighbor. Is there something I'm missing or 20 pages are free but you will have to pay toll every time I send or receive faxes?
With eFax, your faxes are sent through the internet, not the phone line. Phone connections are all made with the eFax service but your part of the process of eFax is done through your internet connection.

How to have an Oracle procedure send and receive the value of a java program.
The procedure below is the place within a package. This "get_extract_ready_headers" procedure to select the columns store_number, terminal_number, tran_number, tran_date, cust_id in the REX_HEAD_EXTRACT of source table. This information is selected in a ref cursor The data were field cust_id which is encrypted. How can I change the get_extract_ready_headers procedure and accomplish 2 things?
1. make this procedure the "cust_id" reading the table source and send the value of a Java program "getheaderinfo" (this java program decrypts the cust_id field).
2. when we get the value unencrypted to the Java program, make the procedure to accept this decrypted value and use it to update the CUST_ID to the table TRAN_HEAD table value target. I use Oracle 11.2.0.2 and TOAD 10.5.1.3.

Then you describe two stored procedures separated. One that has an OUTPUT parameter which is a SYS_REFCURSOR (that you posted initially). And will need you a second procedure that takes as a parameter IN the decrypted CUST_ID and whatever: key (s) is required for the UPDATE is generated.

This isn't a problem of version of Windows. Must see with what software
you are running. Yes, if you use a program that has this feature, you
can do.
