Fax cannot send and receive some

I just bought the installer and laser jet M1217 nfw. Everything works well except the FAX function. I tried to send and receive faxes, but look like that does not work. When I fax from another fax machine, the hp m1217 won't receive fax signal. Then I tried to call the fax number that connect on my HP printer m1217. This HPm 1217 receive the call and heard Fax fom my cell phone signal.

Also, the send function, when I use this Hp to send the fax to another fax machine, a different school machine could not get the signal for fax too.

Hello ThaiBasil

What type of fax line is connected to the printer? Anyway the article below contains several troubleshooting steps to solve the problems of fax with the Laserjet M1217.

    Hello

    I'm a Microsoft Online Customer Service, which contacts on behalf of my client. My client has problem with Outlook Express, which cannot send and receive emails, and cannot sync to the phone. He receives this error message below:

    I'm not sure of the sync with the phone number, but the account settings are not yet near. SMTP is not a host name or a server name. You must find the correct POP3 server settings.

    Cannot send and received the message of error windows live mail 3219 how remedy

    You use a hosted Microsoft e-mail address.

    Microsoft doesn't want you using a program like WLM.  I know, they created it, but they changed their minds.  They want to be able to use their webmail system so that they can put ads in your face and you profile by reading your emails.  They try to get you migrated to Windows 10 and the e-mail program integrated here.

    Most of my clients with addresses hosted Microsoft migrated far by pulling on the other non-Microsoft like Gmail or Yahoo mail addresses.

    WLM will work perfectly with these addresses.  Well more than half of my computer 150 customer use WLM 2011 version and it works very well.

  • Cannot send and receive UDP

    I'm doing a code to send and receive of UDP. The code works fine on the simulator of 4.2.

    But the same code doen't work on the device.

    String u = "udp://" + server_addr + ":" + server_port + ";" + client_port + "/internet.beeline.ru|UDP;tunnelauthusername=beeline;tunnelauthpassword=beeline";

    socket = (DatagramConnection)Connector.open(u);

    Datagram dt = socket.newDatagram( socket.getMaximumLength() );
    dt.setData( data, 0, length );

    socket.send( dt );

    socket.close();

    u = "udp://:" + client_port + "/internet.beeline.ru|UDP;tunnelauthusername=beeline;tunnelauthpassword=beeline";

    socket = (DatagramConnection)Connector.open(u);

    Datagram packet = socket.newDatagram(fullPkt, length);

    socket.receive(packet);

    BB 8300 with OS throws IOException in an attempt to send UDP in the line of 4.2.2.166

    socket.send( dt );

    BB 8100 with 4.5.0.110 resembles could not send UDP no exception thrown

    but never receive any UDP server.

    Such a code should work on 4.5 OS, at least I'm able to see rtsp video to youtube which use UDP.

    The cause is the firewall carrier that bloks incoming UDP for the phone.

    Also firewall change source port of the datagram received by the server.

    The solution I see is to protocols rtsp/rtp simuilate to bypass the firewall of carrier.

    ----------------

    The SMTP server and the Web site are not the same.

    This problem could have been caused by a recent update from McAfee?
    Try disabling electronic e-mail scanning in McAfee following the instructions here.

    Mail scanning is unnecessary and purely aesthetic.

    Error 0x800CCC0E = unable to connect to the server
    The Socket 10051 error may be an SMTP port is blocked.

    Some ISPS prevent their users access to conventional servers SMTP 'outside' using e-mail programs like Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, Netscape.

    To verify that your ISP is blocking SMTP (port 25) connections, you must Telnet to the SMTP server of the command prompt (DOS prompt):

    1. Start-> Run-> enter 'command'-> click on 'ok '.
    2. type 'telnet mail.yourdomain.com 25' back guest

    In the case you receive the message "Connection refused" or the time-out period, you should contact your provider to demand access to open port 25 in their firewall or proxy. Or ask if they have changed the port number.

    I hope this helps.

  • Difficult to send and receive faxes long distances

    Hello-

    I am running Window Vista Ultimate 32-bit with SP2.  I have bad to send and receive faxes.  Particularly faxes sent or from another area code (IE over long distances).  I have an Agere Systems PCI-sV92PP.  I use McAfee antivirus and have followed all the steps using Vista.

    I tried to update the driver with no luck.  The error code I get when sending, said "cannot be sent due to an unexpected error".  "The error I get when receiving is call cannot respond by fax.

    Something of note, when you send, if I click on the box next to contacts for formatting a business rule, the country / region default is UK and USA not.  I tried to change the sending, but it doesn't seem to help, and I was able to change the default value.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

    If you are sure that your Modem configuration, drivers and compatibility with Vista, the modem is correct see if a third-party program is causing the problem, maybe McAfee interferes?

  • In Windows 7, I can send and receive faxes but when someone calls they hear static fax

    Hello. IN WINDOWS 7, I CAN SEND AND RECEIVE A FAX, BUT WHEN SOMEONE CALLS ON THIS LINE AS A PHONE CALL, THEY HEAR FAX STATIC AND CANNOT CALL VIA.  HOW TO ELIMINATE THIS WHEN I RECEIVE A CALL REGULAR ON THE SAME LINE?

    As previously stated the feature seek you, IE automatically switch the call fax or phone to answer, depending on the type of appeal are not a feature of win7 or any fax modem.

    There were external devices, you can buy separately put the call to the fax or phone depending on the type of call received.

    Personally when I had only the line I would activate only the fax when I received a call that was an incoming fax. IE, hang up the phone, and then activate the fax. Of course this works if you are in the unit.

    Its probably easier to get a fax to e-mail service, assuming that you do not want a second line.

    I'm not a fan of the AOL software. Personally I would not use AOL as my Internet service provider. I only had a close encounter with the AOL software in recent years. Finally, the problem has been solved and it was not caused by the AOL software but he could have easily.

    AOL has always provided a brand of software developed by others. Thus, they mark Outlook Express and all changed the menus etc then any that have a reasonable understanding of Outlook Express met with unnecessary difficulties trying to solve a problem. It was of course on a Windows XP platform.

    With AOL, another problem is that they are slow to update their versions software brands and users to register on AOL in the retail stores are supplied with CD/DVD with versions to software. What I suggest you do is confirm with AOL that you have the latest version of their software for a Vista computer. When you ask pointed questions you get better answers.

    The software for AOL email on a Vista platform is based on Windows Mail. Do not confuse Windows Mail with Windows Live Mail, which is part of the package available to you if you sign up for Windows Live Essentials. They are not the same.
    http://explore.live.com/Windows-Live-Essentials-system-requirements

    I don't know how Windows Live Mail would work with AOL as Internet Service provider, change to unknown software in a difficult period for your mother could create problems when his thoughts are elsewhere.

    My following link can provide a way to correct the problem. My hesitation is that you're dealing with a customized version. Before you try, it checks if there are messages in the Outbox.

    If the KB 941090 solution does not work, it may be that a solution that worked with Outlook Express might be interesting to try.

    1. Hold the Windows key + C and type Fax and press ENTER.
    2. The Fax Configuration Wizard starts. Click Next.
    3. On the sender information page, type the information that you want to appear on your fax cover page. You don't have to fill in all the boxes. Then, click Next.
    4. The Fax Configuration Wizard displays the Select Device page to send or receive faxes. If you want to be able to receive incoming faxes, check the box to receive. If the telephone line you logged on to your computer is for faxes only, click on answer automatically after. If you want to manually answer incoming faxes, click Manual answer. Then, click Next.
    5. On the page of the Subscriber Identification (TSID), type the information you want in the TSID box. In general, it is a company name or your name and fax number. Click Next.

This number allows you to confirm that you send the fax to the right recipient. The CSID is usually the same as the TSID. Click Next.
