  • Burned DVD using Windows DVD Maker times only once on my Blu - ray player

    Original title: burned dvd

When I do a cd burned with my windows dvd maker, dvd will play only once on my blu - ray player separated from the TV.  It works fine the first time, but the Player cannot find the disc any time after that.  I use dvd + r discs.  Is there a formatting problem, or do I need to get the dvd + rw discs.  I'm really at a loss.  Thanks for your help guys!

    Hi frapachino21,

-The problem occurs with all CD/DVD you burn using Windows DVD Maker?

-After playback of the disc on the Blu - ray drive, the drive is not detected on your desktop/computer laptop with no problems?

To use certain kinds of CD or DVD discs outside of your computer, you must close the session, which is a process that prepares the disc to be read by other computers and players.

You can try to close or finalize the CD/DVD and check if it makes a difference.

    Hi Barry Robbo.

1 when was the last time you were able to play a DVD burned successfully?

    2. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    3. What is the file format of the burned photos?

    4. which Windows Player do you use to play the burned photos?

A DVD may not play properly in some DVD players or DVD - ROM readers to one of the following reasons:

    • The type of drive may not be compatible. Some DVD players or DVD - ROM drives can play some types of DVD. For example, some DVD players only play discs DVD + R or DVD + RW, while others play only DVD-R or DVD - RW discs.
    • The quality of the disc may be too low. Some DVD players or DVD - ROM drives will not play DVD if the disc is not in good condition or if it isn't a high quality disc. If your Player cannot play a DVD, you can try to burn again using a higher quality DVD.
    • DVD decoding software can not be installed on the computer. If you try to play the DVD in the DVD drive on another computer, the DVD will not play if DVD decoding software is not installed on this computer.

To determine what types of DVDs your DVD player or DVD - ROM drive can play, see the documentation that came with your device or go to the manufacturer's Web site.

I made a movie in Windows DVD Maker, and I would like to save to my computer and send output to my family in an e-mail.

    Hello

I wish to inform you that if you want to publish a movie that you should have Windows Live Movie Maker in Windows 7.

Windows 7 does not have Movie Maker, you must download and install Windows Live Director.

  • Not possible to burn a DVD on the Satellite A100-338 using Windows DVD Maker

I have a Toshiba Satellite A100. I'm trying to burn a DVD using Microsoft Windows DVD Maker and a Sony DVD - RW. The laptop has a carpet * a DVD-RAM UJ-850 s ATA device.

When I try to burn a DVD, a progress bar appears and is about 2% before the hanging.

I also tried to format the DVD first, and which is progressing well before coming up with an error message saying that the drive could not be formatted.

Anyone got any ideas? Am I missing something completely obvious?

    Hello

the following things could probably help you with your problem:

-> control if a new BIOS for your machine and a new FIRMWARE update for your DVD player are available. Update the BIOS and the player firnware
-> use another applications burning like Nero, CDBurnerXP or other thing that is usually know work well with almost all DVD - RW readers out there
-> use a DIFFERENT brands of DVD media because the carpet * a readers are really picky

If all these steps fail, then it is possible that your drive is defective and must be replaced.

    See you soon

  • How to add TITLES staged using Windows DVD Maker?

There are many instructions on how to burn a DVD. The problem is my scenes appear with no title and I want to add a little. What are the specific steps to take to achieve this? Or is it simply not possible in this program?

John, thank you for your 3 links above. Unfortunately, they are essentially the same, but worse yet, none of them address in any way, how to add titles to the scene. Yes, there are instructions on how to rename the BUTTON SCENES, but it's not what interests me in practice. I want to quote the SCENES themselves that appear when I click the scenes button.

Is it still possible? (My guess is that it is not.) It's very frustrating, because it is a fairly basic need.

I burned three videos on one DVD - each with very subtle differences.  Now each of them appears in the area of scenes from the DVD as a kind of "film reel icon" with no title/label associated with each, so they look identical, leaving me to guess who is who. Let me label them so that I don't have to click on each one and shows him through know exactly that one I selected in the menu scenes.
