How to view Raw files in Adobe Bridge

I just installed CC yesterday and know when I upload images raw to the bridge I do not see the image. All I see is the blue badge of PS. There are other issues, but I'll ask later. Thank you, Dennis

Hi Dennis,

Could you please let me know the version of the bridge and also the brand and model of the device you are using?

Kind regards

Tanuj

I have redownloaded my CS5 Photoshop and Camera Raw will not accept my RAW files or Adobe Bridge displays the display of the image of these files. A message appears saying: it does not support this camera.  I have a Nikon 5100 digital SLR.  He has always displayed them in the past.  How do I get to view these photos in Bridge, then open them in RAW?

Your Nikon 5100 requires a minimum of 6.4 ACR.

The ACR, which is installed with CS5 default is 6.0.

You must update your ACR to the latest version available for CS5 - ACR 6.7

  • Not able to open Canon 5 d raw files in Adobe Bridge/PS CS5 - of the suggestions?

I've updated for Canon 5 d and Adobe Bridge & PS CS5 will not open the CR2 raw files.

I installed the Adobe Raw and DNG converter 9.1.1 and rebooted my mac - still no luck.

    Any suggestions?

    Melissam salvation,

Photoshop CS5 only supports Camera Raw to version 6.7

    For Adobe Camera Raw-compatible applications

Applications of camera Raw compatible Adobe

For the Canon 5 d camera, the camera required minimum brute is version 9.0

For devices supported by Camera Raw

    Devices supported by Camera Raw

    I hope this helps.

  • Open a photo in the bridge, I am unable to make the choice to open in camera raw. This choice is a gray clear and don't let me not choose when I go to file in Adobe Bridge CS6. I said I have reset something.  How to cancel it?

How do I "open in camera raw" to be a choice when I have much option in 'file' in Adobe Bridge CS6.  The computer tells me that I have reset something.

Just a thought, I don't have a Mac and perhaps wrong.

  • Is there a way to define the window FILES in Adobe Bridge, as a view column?

How to open the photos in adobe bridge in lightroom cc?

You import these images in LR. LR is not a file as Bridge Manager. You must first import pictures into LR for them is displayed.

Bridge displays all drives on your system, like Windows/Explorer in Windows or on Mac Finder. The only drives and folders that appear in the LR library module are those that you imported images.

IIRC, you can drag images from the window of bridge to the LR or in the LR window icon and which should open in LR import dialog window.

  • How to convert raw files from my D300 Nikion for AdobeRGB sRGB?

How to convert raw files sRGB to my Nikon D300 AdobeRGB files for use in Lightroom and Photoshop?

I got caught for years in sRGB because I read that it is better for sharing on the web if any alteration in Photoshop may be made.  Now I have the time to focus on learning Photoshop and Lightroom.  Should I opt for color my default AdobeRGB camera mode?  Can I easily convert existing files to sRGB to AdobeRGB in Lightroom/Photoshop?  I understand, as a beginner, is that sRGB files cannot be modified and files AdobeRGB.

    Thanks for your help.

    George Ollen

Save as raw rather than jpg. Then the color profile will not be embedded in the file. Then Lightroom or camera raw can assign AdobeRGB or SRGB color profile.

BTW, if you choose - choose AdobeRGB and then convert to SRGB, not the other way around. AdobeRGB has a broader that is SRGB. It's easier to strip color to add.

  • Display thumbnails of files in Adobe Bridge RAW

Hello people have a problem that is driving me crazy and I hope someone can give me some advice. Until recently, I was able to see my NEF RAW files as thumbnails in Bridge, click on them and they open in camera raw very well. But although suddenly I opened a file in bridge, I get a brief display of thumbnails which then convert into only an icon of the white sheet. If I click on any of these same icons so the file opens as usual in camera raw, but I can't see the thumbnails preview to know who is who. Everybody had / has solved this problem - any ideas as to what it could be causing it? Any ideas gratefully received. I use Bridge CS4 and Elements 8. I looked into the nets of Adobes and they had some tips on the issue in case of problems, but these have not worked.Picture 1.png

One of the issues that they mentioned was checking if your bridge files were in the right place. I don't know if the bridge file must be inserted in the file of the elements or or not - I wonder if this could be the problem I accidently moved my file in bridge and then returned it to the file of applications - so I've included a screenshot where my files. and that's what the NAVE - inch RAW looks like instead of a thumbnail

Any help or pointers very welcome

Since no one else, as Barbara responded more to that, at least publicly, I'll give you some suggestions even though I am a Windows user and it seems that you are on a Mac.

Momentary flashes of image and a white sheet icon means that the bridge is initially shows you preview JPG incorporated, camera image generally bars Black, and then what that's supposed to happen is Bridge use ACR to render each RAW using Adobe settings and recreate a new insight.  Apparently something wrong with use of the bridge of the cab so the specific Adobe preview never gets created.

Your 'new' D300 has been supported since CS3 ACR 4.3.1 so it isn't your CS4 ACR version in addition to your camera that is the problem, unless the camera model was poorly reported.

A clarifying question: is it true that your older camera naves and the most recent D300 fail, now in Bridge?  Another question would be what version of ACR is used in bridge and which is used in the elements.  You can understand this by help / Plug-ins... / Camera RAW in elements and maybe there is something similar in the area of Bridge preferences.

To the extent where what could be the problem: on a Mac, I think there is a plug-in for the bridge cab and an another plugin ACR for items, but I have no way to check where to go look for them on the Mac.  Your symptoms suggest that the ACR PSE is ok and the ACR bridge has disappeared or has been damaged recently, and you can fix things by updating the plug-in on Mac Bridge CS4 ACR to what he thinks he's needs or ACR 5.7 If you want than the most recent compatible with CS4 and PSE8, although PSE8 can be updated to ACR 6.1 that is not compatible with Bridge CS4.

First of all, try to use the bridge / help / updates to check for a new version of ACR and install an if he finds one to install.  If she sees nothing to update, then try to install it manually using the instructions on the page of updates of Mac - ACR 5.7.  There is a facility of CS4 and a facility for PSE 8.  It is not clear if you can simply use the update for PSE 8 or also do the update for CS4.  I would try two updates if you can find the files that correspond to the PSE and CS4 those mentioned in the instructions.

To find ACR 5.7 update for your Mac:

    Go to http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/

Change the drop down up to Camera RAW - Macintosh and Go

Click on the link to ACR 5.7.

On the page that appears, there is a download and instructions for various products including PSE 8.

You may need to clear your cache of previews, once again, after installation.

  • How to encrypt a file in Adobe reader XI?

How to encrypt a file to send an email to in adobe reader XI?

If you pay for it you have purchased Adobe Acrobat DC not Acrobat Reader.

Acrobat Reader is used to view PDF files and is free to use.

You can go to 'Tools', and then choose Protection-> Encrypt-> encrypt with password

If a dialog box appears asking you to 'Application of new security settings', click 'yes '.

Choose "Acrobat X and later" (recommended Option), if the recipient uses Acrobat X or Acrobat Reader X or later. Otherwise, select "Acrobat 7.0 and later versions" for better backward compatibility.

    * Ensure that "encrypt all the contents of document" is enabled.

    * Make sure 'Require a password to open the document' is checked.

Type a password in the "Password to Open Document" field. Then click on 'OK '.

Re-enter the password you have selected and click on 'OK '. If a dialog box prompt indicating that the security settings will apply to the document until you save the document. Click on 'OK '. Then, save the PDF by clicking on 'File'-> 'save '. And check that "(SECURE)" appears in the title bar.

  • How to select RAW files that have no jpg versions?

I'm experimenting Lightroom, because I want to know if he can help me to get the best pictures of my Panasonic DMC-TZ60.  I got fine jpg, but she has the ability to take RAW photos with or without jpg versions.  JPG images are heavily processed in camera, and I became dissatisfied.  I used Lightroom to the process of the last series of photos I've taken in RAW and have exported jpg versions that I can share with friends and using Flickr.

Over the years, I've had several cameras that could shoot in RAW, but after using Photoshop Express and other programs, including the RAW converters included with cameras, I found their incredibly slow and heavy.  I was recommended to lightroom as it can copy adjustments between photos taken together, and he didn't kick out me of the processor section whenever I finished it a photo.

I don't want to do is double previous conversions, I'm looking for a way to find one of my previous RAW files that do NOT have a version jpg (with the same file name).  I can find easily all my RAW files - it is simply a collection of smart.  Where I can get all my RW2 (Panasonic) or RAW CRW (Canon) files.  What I can't easily do, is see if they already have a jpg version.

Can it be done?  If so, how would you please?  Is there advice that I should consider marking or marking or which gives color to a RAW file when you import I can delete once treated?

I don't think there is a way to do it. But why are you keep JPEG images? I shoot raw only. The only time I need a JPEG file is if I want to share it on the Internet, by e-mail, or send to a laboratory to be printed. Other than that, the JPEG is not necessary. So I generate JPEG files for a specific purpose. When this effect was filled the JPEG images are deleted. They can quickly and easily be regenerated when needed.

Of course, these images for which you have only the master files to JPEG, you want to certainly keep those. But, in my opinion, there is no need to have JPEG copies of each raw file. Suppose you decide to make additional adjustments to one of these raw files. He must then remember to generate a JPEG file and remember where you store them. I just think that you do more work and confusion for yourself. But then, that's just my opinion.
