  It does not download the complete program from scratch. I found a way around that by updating by MacKeeper. He has a manager updates tab that tells you what needs to update and not done the update for you.
  Not good Mozilla what another program updates your software better than you.

  Now that I found out that using the recovery on a new HARD drive would create the recovery Partition... comes the question... How do I update the recovery partition.

  Hi, if I understand you correctly, if you use the code I showed then no matter what the number of Dev.  It is only important if you have more than one device connected to the PC of the same model.  If you have only 1 device connected at a time then the code I'm running allows you to retrieve the number of Dev for the device and your task code can then use it.  I do not think it is necessary to change the assignments of Dev in MAX.
