  You can not disable the automatic update to a specific device.

  However, you can take control and disable the AutoUpdate for all hardware devices, which is the best option.

  I turned off the auto update (for now) and am hoping that if I do not connect to the internet for a long time (although I can't control how long and it may need to be connected for a long time to download), it will not be updated. Does anyone know of a way I can stop this automatic update? (When I've updated my old laptop Win8, then 8.1, I could opt for the update and run it when I chose, but also go back to the old version if I did not like the news.   I think that now it's time to redefine the sales promotion.  Provision of tools for sales, it is a single component, of agreement and mutual understanding around what feeds the process, the agreement on an advance of what is, for trigger points that move from one stage in the cascade to another, ALS and feedback on both sides around what works and what is not form the backbone of successful activation.  After that the process and tools are in place a robust feedback loop must be built, something that allows two parties to share (systematically) how things work in the field.  Somewhere in the middle of this loop, it goes beyond just sales and marketing and even involves the product teams to help them better understand how the features and functionality of the products they design are really vibrate with customers.  This feedback beyond the sales and marketing of the teams then form the basis for business enablement, truly enabling the success of the product and the company as a whole.
