HP 15-5000na omen: locks of CPU frequency to 0.80 GHz

Hello

My CPU get locks to 0.80 GHz and will not upwards or downwards. At the same time, when the CPU is locked to 0.80 GHz

computers portable fans running fast (loud) but air to come is not yet hot.

I found a tool called Extreme Intel (r) utility of tunning to use as monitor "which continues with my system."

I'm not overclocking or change something in the CPU.

Tunning utility indicates the value of the "thermal Throttling" 100%, I think that this is the reason why the CPU remains at 0.80 GHz to inhabit because of this thermal regulation.

Package Themperature and core CPU is normal around 40 ° c.

All this information is visible in this photo:

This problem is to come and go at random, when the problem that is happening and I restart the laptop, I get the error from the BIOS says: Enter system (90 b) fan - keep booting

With the random combination of restarts, stop, unplug the power and plug CPU gets frequency walk again

Thermal regulation becomes zero and fans to stop... and everything is going normally.

When the CPU's frequency stepping and normal works if I reboot the system BIOS displays messages: System (90 b) fan.

This happens once or twice a day and it's very anoing... I'm losing a 15-20 minutes to restart the plug... and so on until the disappearance of the problem.

I have the latest BIOS for my laptop and installed all updates for Windows 10.

Software of HP Support assistant shows also no update available.

Best regards, spetrov

Hello

Just to update, I returned my laptop for repair under warranty.

Warranty card shows the replacement of the motherboard.

After replacement, not stuck to 0.80 GHz CPU more.

  • ThinkPad T510 problem with the CPU frequency

    Hello
I was a problem with the CPU frequency - in DC or battery it works 1/2 frequency (1196 MHz), but when my thinkpad plugged and is with battery it works OK (2400 MHz).
Do you have any suggestions how to solve this problem.

ThinkPad T510 (4384) intel core i5, 6 GB of Ram.
    Thank you.

What your seeing is actually normal and a result of power management settings. When it is on battery, the reduced CPU clock speed to improve the battery life and only increases in speed if a program requires processing power (games, adobe photoshop, CAD, etc.). If you wish, you can disable this feature by setting the "maximum performance" option in the Lenovo power management program and get into the bios and disable "Intel Speedstep" and similar power options setting. I hope this helps.

  • Why the CPU frequency will be just said to 1189 MHz when the X 230 had AC power ONLY (battery removed)?

    Dear all,

I bought a X 230 (i7) laptop.  I found that has removed the battery from the laptop and use only the power supply with the X 230 Notenook.  The CPU frequency will said to 1189 MHz.  It will not change no matter how the laptop program is running.  The CPU frequency will increase to 2.9 GHz or up to Turbo when the laptop with battery or battery and AC power.  Why the CPU frequency will be just said to 1189 MHz when the X 230 had AC power ONLY (battery removed)?  This is not good.  No matter which setting in X 230 Notebook need to change?  Help, please.

    Welcome to the forum!

What you feel is the factory default setting. You may or may not be able to get around using an adapter 90 w instead of a 65W one, but I've generally not recommended to use the ThinkPads without a pile of work.

  • My very low CPU frequency drops...

Hello! I just bought an Alienware x 51 R3 and when I look at the AlienFX command center, I'm going to OCControls to take a look at my cpu frequency and I'm still at 0.90 to 1.20 GHz.

No programs are open except Google Chrome.

    My processor is: Intel (r) Core i5 - 6600 k CPU @ 3.50 GHz

Even when I click on the button to overclocking, it is always in the vicinity of 0.90 GHz.

You will probably get a better response if you re - post it in the forum of the Club of Alienware .

Windows gives me a blue screen when I try to upgrade my Dell 650 Intel Xeon cpu (2) a 4.2 GHz to a 3.6 GHz

Hi, I was wondering if I need different software or?   Tent for upgrade achieve performance more than one old computer.   When I turn on the computer, it starts to initialize, then turns on the blue screen, all new material that was added.   3.6 GHz was also used in the 650's.  Just by looking at the cpu they look the same to me.  Any ideas is better than what I have now.   Dell number is 4QXB451

This isn't the site for these answers... Try intel.com/support/cpu

Youre pc requirments are based on the chipset boards, chips intel only run with

  • Yoga1 11 s Haswell (4310y) - sluggish UI? Low CPU frequency?

I know that the series is supposed to be slower than the series U, but I feel like this thing is abnormally slow on my GF Yoga 11 s. Task Manager indicates it only making .58ghz while trying to load the Sims 3 (I know that this game has problems, but it hardly seems to run about as well--surprisingly slow loading times). The Task Manager is incorrect? I think that the CPU is supposed to be 1.5 ghz. I also felt a bit slow machine regarding the user interface. For example, right click could be a small delay with regard to the context menu. Y at - it a setting or driver I'm missing here?

Are you running on battery or sector? The default power plan seems to keep the system locked to a low frequency battery-operated.

  • CPU frequency and bus on Satellite M30 is too low

    Hello

The processor and my Satellite M30 bus seems to be significantly under speed. According to Windows XP Pro and Solaris Nevada, the processor is clocked at 600 MHz. The frequency of the BIOS, scaling parameter is set to "Still high", and I tried to disable ACPI in the operating system (ensuring no interference on the software side), without result. Power in the Toshiba Power Saver settings are all maxed out, so no scaling should be there either. Intel Processor Identification Utility reports the following:

    Reported expected
    Speed: 1.60 GHz GHz 0.44
System bus: 400 MHz 294 MHz

Note that the tool uses algorithms to determine the speed, rather than trusting the value returned by the operating system, that one of her aims purposes is testing for fraudulenty CPU overclocked by OEMs. The speed as it is for me is even more disappointing. I don't know how long it has been like that, but one thing to note is that the motherboard has been replaced last summer.

Someone has an idea what here? Thank you.

Edit: I also loaded the CPU with CPU-Burn to see if some heavy loads would get understandingly frequency. It has no effect.

    Hello

If you use the advanced search option, you will find a few similar topics with the explanation very clear why unit works with 600 MHz only.

In any case, after the replacement motherboard service must blink mainboard firmware. After doing this it will work at full speed. Because of this, I guess they forgot to do.

It is not a big problem. Please contact again and explain the situation.

  • Satellite A210 - 16G - problem of CPU frequency and memory

    Hey guys,.

    I had a problem with my laptop I can't solve, since I installed windows 7 RTM x 64 version.
I noticed something is wrong after finding that my Windows experience index has fallen to 2.7 instead of 4.5, I used to have on Vista. For those who do not know my characteristics are:
AMD Turion 64 X 2 TL-60, which I've got 2.7 of note, 4 GB Kingston DDR2-667 (333 MHz) - 4.4, scores of charts and hard drives are the same.

I read in one of the forums that it may be a problem with the standby power options, but he did not get any option that says on the frequency of the processor changing according to the plan of the power. I also installed new version 2.0 of the website of Toshiba BIOS, but it only makes things worse: I've got 6.0 rating graphics of games but the Perf of Aero desktop is now 1.0!

I installed diagnostic software: Everest and CPU - Z and I discovered that my CPU works with a frequency of 800 Mhz (the multiplier is 4 x, voltage 0.8V) and my DRAM frequency is 159.8 Mhz (I don't know if it's ok, but I know that 4.4 score is certainly too low although).

So tell me guys, is this a problem of the operating system? Should I try to install the 32-bit version of Windows 7, or it won't change anything? Maybe I should try some software that would change the frequency of my FSB?
I'm waiting for your answers, because I don't know what to do.

    Paul

Aero needs a WDDM compatible graphics driver, then try to update the graphics driver on the Toshiba site
