HP 15-af008ax: RAM

For my laptop HP 15-af008ax, what density RAM should I buy? High or low?

I have all other information, please help me with the density.

Thank you

Hello:

I can't 100% guarantee it will work but I would like to say that the memory should be fine.

It brings together all the technical features... speed, no ECC, memory buffer and 1.35v

Hello hp, I need help, I am about to buy a laptop the hp15 af008ax and a 4 GB ram hynix that I wanted to ask you that it will be compact able with the computer laptop or shoul I buy another? Please answer quickly

The first problem is that you post in a forum of the printer.

The second problem is when you say 4 ram concert that could be many different things and all knowing the memory capacity is not enough to decide whether or not it will work in your machine.

Memory modules in different form factors, different speeds, you should know what your laptop needs. For example, DDR2 or DDR3 since I don't pay that much attention to memory, it could be a new standard out there, there. Laptops use generally a SODIMM, workstations use a strip of MEMORY, these are different physical quantities.

If I buy memory I usually go to memory.com and see what they have to offer because they are very reliable as for giving you the right module speed, size and capacity, I couldn't buy it from them, but I certainly check to the specifications.

  • HP 15-af008ax: UPGRADING RAM

For Upgradation of RAM on my notebook (HP 15-af008ax), I can buy RAM from another crucial brand that is NON - ECC Unbuffered?

What is NON - ECC Unbuffered Please explain.

    It's the RAM I think to buy - (Crucial 4 GB DDR3 PC3-12800 unbuffered NON - ECC 1.35v)

This will work. Unbuffered medium there is no chip on it that filters the data to come thanks to the chip. Non - ecc means that's not error correcting. Server memory used in business systems is stored in memory buffer and ecc. No need for that in the computers of consumers.

    Hello @Thufail19,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, so many other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff.

I read your post about installing Windows and he wanted to help!

As long as you have the product key for Windows, you can install via USB or the software disk.  Just follow the instructions on the screen.  You can check this site to see if your product is compatible with Windows 10: upgrade to Windows 10

If you are not sure about Windows 10, then I recommend installation 8.1 Windows and recovery media creation.  You can use this document to help you, if necessary: HP PC - create a recovery Image on disk or save a recovery Image on a Flash drive (Windows 8)

In this way, you can upgrade to Windows 10 If you choose, and if you are not happy with it, you can return to Windows 8. 1. once the operating system is ready to go, you can get the drivers you need for your product at the following site: drivers - HP for laptop - 15-af008ax

Here are a few documents about 10 additional Windows:

HP Notebook PC - upgrade to Windows 10

HP computers - understanding and using Windows 10

HP products - where to find Windows 10 drivers and software for my model?

The Support page says it is not accessible, but everything is assembled (without guarantee) just to write this post in Safari with open iTunes I am hitting 3.3 4.0 GB.

I've always liked Apple since the first iPod came out, but I didn't know that their computers were also disposable.

I guess I should know better when the price is only a little higher then the Apple TV, I went to buy, but it's the first Apple computer, I buy, and it's better than my Apple TV ver1 who died.

So when I cut it open I find accommodation from the PIN and what chip will take the 1.4 GHz, 4 to 8 GB machine.

I guess there is only one slot (pinout) and it is probably welded in.

    No, they were serious

the RAM is welded in there. You can not remove it.

  • 8gig of ram will be enough to use windows?

I'm about to buy a macbook pro. This is the model of 512 gigabytes, 3.1 GHz, 8 GB ram. I want to only install windows to play spintires and that would be it. If I install windows and steam then spin tires it will the macbook running slower?

rotating the tires to the requirements

    CPU: 2.5 GHz Dual Core
    RAM: 4 GB

If you install Windows using Boot Camp Windows wizard will use all your computer RAM, 8 GB, when you start in Windows. It's more than enough RAM for Windows and a spin the requirements that you have posted.

If you boot into OS x, OSX will use all 8 GB of RAM.

  • Font managers of the RAM and fonts

    Hi all

I feel that the ability to enable and disable individual fonts using font (font book or third party) management software is designed to eliminate RAM memory (or at least somehow the unloading of the treatment of the Mac).

I also believe I read that he mentioned somewhere that all fonts placed in the user/Library/Fonts location are always active in the RAM, and this is perhaps why it is important to not just throw hundreds of fonts in this folder.

    I wonder:

    -If above are true?

-If you use third-party font management software to disable a font placed in the folder User/Library/Fonts eliminates actually he RAM memory (as is probably for policies outside the system of appointed police records)?

-If none of this is true, then why even should we use font management software to disable or deactivate fonts - why not just let them all turned on if they are not in the RAM?

I want to make sure that I fully understand. I hope that this will help me make more informed decisions about my workflow of font management.

I'm under El Capitan 10.11.6, although I don't think that this specificity is relevant.

    Thanks for the informed answers!

I don't think you are quite correct, I hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong but here is my assessment of the situation...

All installed or active policies are not loaded in RAM at startup because it would be than a useless on memory limited to Macs. System fonts will be loaded into memory as they are usually required.

I believe that certain police functions get cached, such as previews of the fonts that are used in some applications, these selection committees are often written cache files stored on the drive that I can tell.

Installation and activation of the thousands of fonts may cause some problems as apps may need to generate previews of these fonts - for example MS Word has its own custom selector of fonts that use the real font for names selection. Some design apps can analyze or search fonts when opening certain documents with the related font styles. Other applications such as TextEdit, Mail system use based Gatherer so that they benefit the plan puts large fonts in cache.

The reason of FontBook is to assist in the management of fonts. OS X uses the 'library' system to allow multiple levels of abstraction, by example/System/Library is for OS-level files (stuff own apples), / library of the third parties who rely on the scale of the support system, ~/Library for user specific files. There is even in charge of resources to be stored in/Network/Library for use with a server on a WAN.

Manage all this complex without a central application. In my view, that order preference is the user on the highest levels, so your own user fonts folder is selected on the system if you named the same way fonts. Part of the idea is also that you can export fonts in your own home library without affecting the other users of the system.

Third parties also have police managers this attempt to 'do the right thing' based on what documents and applications you use. These are for most major design offices that use custom fonts or is needed to deal with versions of specific fonts, variations and even if the fonts are licenses for specific customers etc.. Fonts dynamically loading & unloading can cause headaches depending on what software you use.

I do not think that average users need to think about fonts on OS X (beyond adding their favorites occasionally), you may be overthinking it unless you're in lots of design work.

If you are concerned about running out of RAM, you probably need to install more, get a better Mac or run applications less. Just keep in mind what OS X tent now to use all the RAM available most of the time if not what is the point of installing it?

  • Update of RAM memory.

What brand of RAM should I buy for a MacBook Pro Late 2011?

Mac have a reputation for being very selective with RAM.  The most reliable sources of RAM compatible Macs are OWC and Crucial.  Personally, I do not consider any other brands/suppliers.
