HP 15f009wm: removal of hard disk, HP 15-F009wm

I got it from my father, he didn't like it, built it a desktop computer, so now I have the top of the tower.

It of Nice, got Windows 7 to work on it, I noticed there is no HARD drive access door, I really don't like if there is no guarantee of more.

Anyone with a design drawings that? I would like to shoot at the disk and put an SSD in there...

Thanks for your time...

Hello:

Here is the link to the service manual for your model.  I think that the two books are the same...

Drive hard R & R procedures can be found in Chapter 6.

Be prepared to take almost all cell phone in order to get the hard drive.

You can upgrade memory too while you're there...

    Hello

I have a Satellite A500 - 19 X and I put it in mode 'sleep' earlier, I returned later to the laptop to get sleep when suddenly the screen went black.

I rebooted the machine by holding the power button and it turned back. When I got to the logon page I tried to log in, but got another black screen when I had entered my details.

After her that I couldn't turn on the pc correctly, I had a brief period where I could use the network only, without the battery in and he would get to the windows logon, but then the screen turns off again when I tried to log on.

Currently I can't turn on the laptop at all as when I turn it on it didn't post, nothing happens on the screen with or without block/sector.

I'll send the laptop for repairs, but I have some urgent data I need off the hard drive.

I wonder if you checked other categories in this forum.

  • Removed the HARD disk with MBR/BCD who installed Vista x 64 Business on the new HARD drive

I have vista x 64 business installed on a HARD drive, but it was (and still is) installed on an older HDD aswell and the smallest, the result being that when I removed the old hard drive to put in another computer, I was unable to boot the copy of vista on the new HARD disk as the MBR or the BCD bit that allows me to choose what vista start is on the old HDD. Using the installation DVD I can get up the command prompt and run Bootrec.exe without the old HARD disk installed, which can find the vista installation, but fails to solve the problem. I'm not an expert so I can't properly use Bootrec.exe, and startup recovery also does not work, although it seems to say that something to do with the startup has been fixed. Is it possible that I can get the computer running without the old HDD without having to reinstall vista on the new hard drive? Currently, I put the old HARD return drive to start the new installation of vista.

When you move an old hard drive to a new computer, the installed operating system will find new hardware (motherboard, etc.).

A clean install is a normal requirement, as no drivers are installed for the new hardware on the operating system.
    Thus, it will not start.

How to do a clean install:

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

  • Windows 7 - How to remove a hard disk of the winsxs directory space.

I have a Windows 7-64 bit (Service pack 1 installed) system with a 2 TB HDD + 150 GB HDD. The 2 TB disk has a 20 GB partition (C :) for Windows & a few other programs such as Live essentials, AVG & Adobe. Most of the other software has been installed on a second drive 150 GB (old) (f).

20 GB partition is down to the last 300 MB of space & can no longer update windows or AVG. I also receive a "Low disk space" message

    Currently: -.

    C:\windows\ => 16.4 GB

    C:\windows\winsxs\ => 7,51 GB

    I tried the following.

-"Diskcleanup" for standard files & cleaning of the system.

-Deletion of all programs that are not needed on the partition & either left or installed on the 150 GB drive.

-Removed the 'Originals' directory that Essentials uses to store the versions of the files of edited images. Now, it is automatically deleted after 24 hours.

I have not been able to reallocate memory because the drive is less than the minimum 512 MB recommended.

It seems to me that all the programs that have been installed at one time, but have been removed are still in C:\windows\winsxs\

How I shot this size without re - install Windows 7 and others?

I ended up going about it a different way to the 3rd party software, like those that make me always nervous.

Yes, I needed to extend the c: in this case, I'm out to 150 GB.

I ended up copying all files D: on various devices and then deleted the D:. The only snag I hit was not be able to delete the D: partition. It turns out that I had to disable the file 'Page' for D:. After that, I was able to delete D:, expand c 150 GB and then re - allocate D:.

To disable the Page file, you must go to 'advanced system settings '.

The next thread can be useful as well.

  • Reconnect the data store after removal of hard disk

I have two identical Dell R610 servers.  I removed the readers of one of the servers and put them in the other.  ESX came very well and I can connect to the host with the vSphere client.  However, the data store has disappeared and 4 virtual machines that were on the server are "(inaccessible) unknown".  The device comes in storage.  It's a simple, 4 drive RAID5 set connected to the local controller inside the server.

What can I do to reattach the data store?

I tried both 'Keep the existing signature' and 'assign a new signature.  Both options produce the same result ' selected disk already Dad a VMFS datastore. ".  Select another disk.

The data store is obviously there and intact.

Sounds like the issue in the store of data missing and not mountable. You can also take a look at http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1015986 to see if that helps.

  • Removal of the catalog is also the removal of hard disk

I have a problem. So far I had a catalog. Now I am creating 2, one for the family and the other for other stuff. I tried to delete only from the catalog so that I can download it again the images in the new catalogue. However, when I check using Explorer, the files do not exist! I don't HAVE NOT check box to remove the images from the hard drive. Also, I tried to move the photos within the PSE10 Organizer. But that's just the visible images in both. What should I do? Fortunately, I have backups and I did it only to a few.

A test, if you use the thumbnail view, deletion of the catalogue only works as it should?  (It's here).

  • How can I remove a hard disk to the raid set default and replace it with a new one

Last Friday apparently began one of my raid drives failing.

As I said on this forum I started having continuous beep.

I was finally able to get the raid works at a degraded level.  I ordered a replacement hard drive, that happened today.

(In the meantime, I made twice daily backups of my work...)

Below is the message that I have the raid of browser-based software:

At any given time when I did the checked the browser interface, I have seen the message failed and degraded

As I said, I was able to work this weekend on the degraded system.

This morning I had the new tone and made the rescue and now I use a "full raid" without the advice that a raid was 'free '.

In all cases, the new drive arrived today.

Should what precautions I take to integrate the new drive in the raid system.

    I have an OS disk

and raid 4 TB drives.   One needs to be replaced with the new one I get today.

    Thank you

    Rowby

    Rowby,

You currently have your background priority set to 20% IIRC, so it will take time to rebuild, but probably a lot less than 24 hours as for new construction. Even with 20% defined, I guess that it will be done in less than 12 hours, but you can set the background priority to 50% and it will be much faster at the expense of access to your raid. Reconstruction of the background is designed to give you access to all your data files and to continue the work, while the data is being rebuilt. You can continue your work, so if it takes 8 or 12 hours to find the full data intergrity isn't all that relevant. Your aura a functional slower than with a raid reaction complete, but has more speed than a single disk.

  • Toshiba Satellite L50-B-1DJ does not supply power to the top after removing the HARD drive

    Hello world!

I have a Toshiba Satellite L50-B-1DJ. It has a 750 GB HARD drive, but it wasn't enough for me. So I bought a Toshiba 1 TB HARD drive. I have undone all the screws, carefully (using my driver's license), lifted up the plastic and removed a HARD disk.

BTW, I really like this plastic solution on the HARD drive!

Then I realized, that all my stuff is still on it.
So I put the HARD drive, I'm going to copy everything on my drive hard Ext. planning.
Well I screwed it back, got the battery, put the back of the AC adapter.

Battery charge light was on, indicating that the current flows. I pressed the 'Start' button, and nothing happened. He broke yet still nothing. I plugged the battery and the AC output adapter, I held the Power button for 30 seconds, put everything back still nothing. I got scared. Opened back once more, just to take a look at, so anything that slipped on. Nope.

Everything is a okay. What should do? I have the warranty? I hope not.
Can I fix myself without void my warranty? I hope so!

And also: I bought the laptop in Hungary, but I'm in Germany. Can I fix here in case my warranty is valid?

One of my hard drives is broken and I want to remove it from my computer because it takes much more time to start. The drive is the primary drive (I have 2) and I was wondering if I remove the disk will my windows disk 2 change my remaining on the primary disk drive?

I think it is Yes, but the question, of course.  Thank you very much.

    Roly

    Hi rolyreefer,

Many internal hard drives of the riders that in order to configure the main hard drive (master) disk where you install Windows or a secondary (slave) drive, you define where you store programs and files. These riders are of small plastic sleeves that you place on the correct metal jumper pins. For additional instructions, see the documentation that came with the internal hard drive.

Remove the primary disk may not be affecting the other disk.

For more information, please see the link below.

  • How do I change or remove the password disk HARD on my Tecra A9

    Hi all

I looked for where I could, but didn't find any indication at all, so I'm asking here.

I have a Tecra A9 in need of resettlement, what I like to do for me.
I have a very good password on the HARD disk which I do not wish to give. So I want to change it or remove it completely.

Please someone, how do I do? In the BIOS, I don't see that it has been defined, but all what I try, I can not change or get rid of it.

Maybe I should add that since the original installation of the PC it was years ago and I don't remember not the 'Administrator' password.

Everything is under control. I know the 'controller' password and have already successfully removed the BIOS password. Smart TPM is disabled.

BUT what the disk hard drive password?
    Any help much appreciated!

The HARD drive password can be removed by using security help.

Using the BIOS SETUP, tab of the HARD drive password section which should appear as follows:
    HARD drive password
HARD = built-in HARD disk drive
HARD drive password mode = USER only
    Registered = user password

In the field "User password" tab and just enter the old password and then a new twice (once to check) as you normally would.
If you don't want a password, simply press "enter" twice

Now that I know what is the existing password, I have reset / removed the user password, eliminating 'password =' fast before the start.

However, I find no docco to tell me how to remove the HARD drive password. I am always prompted with "password HARD drive integrated =" command prompt.

Can I put it, I change it. I just can't take it off.
It's probably somewhere simple, I'm not quite familiar with this model.

I should note here: I KNOW WHAT IS THE EXISTING PASSWORD, so I'm not a suspect type "how to bypass a password disk HARD unknown?". I just need to know how to, or remove it completely if the new user-to-be is not invited.

You should be able to remove the HARD drive KNOWN password in the BIOS. I put t understand why you aren't able to do.

About your statement, you can set HARD drive password and change the HARD drive password.

I think you should try to remove the HARD drive as the master password BIOS password.
Try to use the Enter key to change the password for the drive HARD and don't anything else type.
