HP 17bII

I use the machine to get the PV. The numbers are

N = 120

I / YR = 12

PMT = 1 614 074

The machine give me PV = 163,131,698.95

I do it with a 19bII and give me 112,501,800. In addition, I do it manually using the formula for PV and give me the same number I get with the 19bII.

What's wrong?

Thanks in advance

Hello

When the calculator is reset, P/YR is set automatically to 12, thus producing the outcome after the reset. P/YR was probably not beginning with 12.

Kind regards.

  • HP 17bII +: yield to MATURITY of bonds

    Hello! I'm trying to calculate a yield to MATURITY of bonds. Liaison for £110.5 trades, has a coupon of 9%, that has just been paid and the next payment will be in exactly one year. The binding is exactly five years to maturity (at £100).

    How can I use the HP17BII + to calculate this? Could do it manually, but if possible any suggestions are appreciated.

    HP 17BII added a sign at the end of answer displayed a calculation +.  How to NOT add a +?

    PLS, write what keys press you and which are displayed on the LCD, for example:

    KEYPRESS LCD

    1                              1

    +                              1+

    2                              1+2

    =                              3

    Give an example when aditional + is displayed and the example when it is not displayed.

    I guess this + is displayed only in the arithmetic?

  • Many questions about the HP 50 g

    I just ordered a HP 50 g graphic calculator! I have a few questions about this so hang on tight! What is the USB connector on the calculator? Mini-USB, micro USB, or is it a connector owner, "custom". Then, it would be possible to connect a keyboard to the HP 50 g by using the USB Port? Is there a program that would make this possible? (I doubt it would work if you plug it..) I have a Mini-USB to female USB 2.0 connector. So I could just plug the keyboard right, provided that the port on the calculator is a Mini-USB Port. If this is not so that I could use my female to female USB adaptor to connect the keyboard.

    Thanks for your help,

    I hope that the company or that someone can help me.  I've owned an HP 17BII calculator.  I used it for many years and had many precious equations programmed into the machine.  I even asked graduate students to buy the calculator in my classes at UCLA.   My wife lost my calculator.  It could cause a divorce.  I know that I can resume the equations of spreadsheet Excel which is clumsy and slow.  WHERE CAN I GET THIS CALCULATOR AGAIN?  Is H.P. still?  Now I am old and I would love my calculator back program variables qauanta.  Can someone give me help?  A program I wrote computes the following variables of real estate, for example: gross multiplier, down payment, mortgage interestrate, rate of return on investment fees.  I still have the equation.  It has been used by many brokers in the areas of L.A. and gave them a huge advantage.  Put in any 4 variables and it calculates the other variable, instantly.  This same equation has worked for the financial obligations and predicted the federal funds rate.  Another equation calculates all variables in general relativity on gravity.  His version was so fast, that it would save hours of work.  H.P. must have established a second model.  I can't believe they wouldn't just calculator of.  Thank you very much.  Dr. Norman Peters, former Professor of mathematics, U.C.L.A.

    Hello

    I would just add that even if the 17B is labeled as a "business/financial calculator", the Solver is powerful enough:
