HP Chromebook model 14-X010NR: upgrading ram chromebook

My less than a year, HP Chromebook has 2 GB of RAM - it goes back to HP, under warranty, a patch for the keyboard problem - some of the keyboard keys do not work reliably.  With this model of HP Chromebook, is it possible to increase the RAM, and if it is possible, what is the level of estimated expenditure and effort?  Thank you!

On the Chromebooks, memory and storage is soldered to the motherboard. There is a version of 4 GB of the motherboard, but the replacement of motherboards is not something that HP will do for you, is it is under repair and the motherboard as a spare part cost nearly the price for the Chromebook.

  • Tecra Z40 - A - the upgrade (RAM RAM)

    Hi all

Ordered little RAM to upgrade my Toshiba Tecra Z40 - A, but can not find, for the life of me, anything where you want to insert online.

I previously installed RAM under the keyboard (couple of clips holding it) and on the other, a small cover on the bottom, but the Z40 does not appear to be anywhere easily accessible.

Has anyone upgraded RAM on the Z40? Or is it a big no, no, because of the guarantee?

    Thank you
    Lance

Memory upgrade on this model Tecra is a bit complicated and, in my view, should not be done by the owner of the laptop. For some models of Ram upgrade can be done by the owner of the laptop and exact instructions how do proposed in document s user manuals, but not for your Tecra.

For full access to the RAM modules lower lid should be removed and it can be done by people of service only. If you do this alone you can void the warranty valid.
I recommend you contact the nearest Toshiba service provider in your country and ask for help or advice.

  • [DV6-3140SL] Problem in my laptop after upgrading RAM

    Hi all,

I want to upgrade the memory of my laptop HP DV6-3140SL model.

Original RAM installed is a Micron 16JSF51264HZ-1G4D1, size 4GB.

    Then I bought 2 modules of the model Corsair CMSO4GX3M1A1333C9 (4 GB x 2 = 8 GB total)

    but when I installed this 2 cylinders in my notebook, start windows crashes;

Sometimes I see Loading icon of progress, but immediately laptop restarts.

BIOS recognizes correctly 8 GB and memory (the utility in the BIOS) test is OK.

CMSO4GX3M1A1333C9 should has the same features as the original model of 16JSF51264HZ-1G4D1:

    SODIMM DDR3 PC3-10600 (1333 Mhz)

What could be the problem? Incompatibility? Or faulty RAM memory?

Note: NA is 8 64-bit Windows (W8 is an upgrade to Windows 7 original)

    Thank you for the support.

You must use the Configurator of Corsair compatibility on their Web site.

See if you can return the modules. The modules seen in the image below are the only guaranteed compatible modules by Corsair. Unfortunately, they are not modules of 4 GB compatible to your laptop.

Memory of Kingston, on the other hand, is it guaranteed compatible 2 GB and 4 GB modules of memory for your laptop. With Kingston, bars of memory, you can upgrade to 8 GB and do work correctly the first time you start it back up after the upgrade.

    Two questions:
1 is it true that my laptop is unable to operate with more than 8 GB of RAM, otherwise true - how much RAM can work with?
    2. If the 8 GB is the limit, what model of modules of RAM, can I use with my laptop?
    Thank you

I'm not 100% sure but the density RAM module is perhaps different from the original tracks:

  • HP all-in - One PC 19-2113w 19: white/black screen after upgrading RAM

    Hello

So I have upgraded RAM using 2 x 4 GB SODIMM DDR3 Corsair 1600 Mhz, after installing the PC boots but screen is white/black

    steps to follow:

    1. I tried with 1 socket by using only a RAM, screen black

    2. I tried with 2 socket using RAM only one with the same RAM step 1, screen black

    3. I tried step 1 and 2 using the other RAM, screen black

    now here it gets interesting

4 tried 1 socket using Original/factory RAM, screen black

5 tried 2 socket using Original/factory RAM, screen black

    6. tried without any RAM at all, looks like a lack of RAM, screen black

Now, to each measure adopted, I must say that the screen sound not only not showing things, but its totally black as it does at all, until the system starts normally. !

Is it Possible the upgrade of RAM affect the screen? or maybe when I was replacing the RAM I hit some conecting by cable to screen or something?

  • How long does it take for apple to upgrade ram?

I'm going to buy a macbook air 13 "and would increase the ram up to 8 GB 4 GB normal and I was wondering if when I go to the apple store to buy the mac, can I request the upgrade to 8 GB and they do it there or here? Or should he wait longer and I have to go back?

Are you planning to buy a new one, or have you bought?   If you plan to buy, buy directly at the exit the 8 GB version.   I don't think you can upgrade RAM with this model.

  • Upgrading RAM on Flex 15

There is no mention of this in the textbooks and a basis of knowledge/google search was in vain. The one I bought has 4 GB of RAM and is supposed to be expandable to 8. How can I do this?

Good day and welcome to the community.

To clarify, you have the original 15 Flex, or the most recent Flex 2 15?

Here is material for each manuals:

    Flex 15: http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/ideapad_flex14flex15_hmm.pdf

    Flex 2 15: http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/lenovo_flex_2_14_flex_2_14d_flex_2_15_flex_2_15d_hmm...

If you have the original model, please consult its manual page 38. It seems that there is one DIMM, so upgrading RAM location would require swapping in an appropriate plu DIMM.

If you have the newer model, please consult its manual page 42. There seems to be 2 DIMM slots, so upgrading RAM can be as simple as adding a module additional DIMM, if your existing configuration is 1 x 4 GB.

I hope this helps a little.

    Kind regards.

    Hello

I want to upgrade RAM of my laptop. Should what kind of product I buy? Specifically, please.

I would like to expand the capacity of the RAM as much as possible.

It's the number of the product you need: F9G45EA #ABZ.

    Thank you very much.

    Best,

It is the 15-n233sl model and the plug you have 6 GB. See page 42 of the manual here:

    Repair manuals

The manual indicates that it takes up to 12 GB which is a 4 GB and 8 GB module to the module but regularly, users have reported success with 2 x 8 GB for a total of 16 concerts. For most of the users 8 GB is a lot and it would mean just remove the module from 2 gig you have now and its replacement by a 4 GB. What that you choose to do I would have 2 modules size even for enable support dual channel. 8 concerts running dual channel is likely to be just as good as 12 concerts running in single channel due to incompatible modules. • 122ne HP 15R: upgrading RAM

I have the HP laptop 122ne-15R (i7-4510U, 4 GB DDR3 1600 MHz RAM, 500 GB of HDD, OS 64 - bit Windows 8.1). I want to add an another slot with 8 GB of RAM and make the total of 12 GB of ram in my notebook. My questions are:

My hardware and the operating system will support 12 GB of ram?

This who should I take care of everything by purchasing a new RAM chip?

How much RAM my system can support a maximum?

Change the RAM will improve my performance of system or it will degrade the overall performance?

What is the maximum amount of RAM that I can add to my system?

    Hello @Biren_,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I read your message and understand that you want to upgrade the RAM in your laptop HP - 15-r122ne. I have studied the issue and have developed a possible resolution in the maintenance and service guide.

Maintenance and Service Guide (See page 2)

"1 or 2 customer accessible/upgradable module memory (depending on model) locations.

"Supports up to 16 GB of RAM in the following configurations"

Here is a document which will answer your questions regarding the upgrade of RAM

  • HP 240 G3 laptop: HP 240 mobile G3 Upgrade RAM help

    Hello!

I just bought a HP 240 G3 laptop and want to upgrade RAM 8 GB.

Here are the specs of the laptop of HP support assistant:

Model: HP 240 G3 Notebook PC

    Product no.: M1V30PA #ACJ

    Processor: Intel (r) Pentium (r) CPU N3540 2.16 GHz

    OS: Win 8.1

Current RAM: 2GB Hynix Semiconductor 1333 MHz (DDR3)

Can I go to a 8 GB Transcend 1600 MHz, or should I just get 1333 MHz?

Laptop computer supports up to 8 GB according to the directives of the brochure of the seller.

There is only a single slot.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    See you soon.

    Here is the Manual:

    Repair manuals

Actually, the manual says if I just read that Trail Bay models have 2 memory slots. I am skeptical. Is yours have a coverage of service for memory? If this isn't the case, it will require removal of the motherboard to access.

It seems that DDR3L-1600 memory is compatible with all versions of this model of laptop, even if some will be downclock at 1333.

The official number of HP for a 8 GB module is:

    8 GB (PC3L, 12800, 1600 MHz) 693374-001

  • Dv5 1170el upgrade ram from 4 GB to 8 GB [HELP]

    Hi all

I have HP Dv5 1170el with this configuration:

    • CPU: Intel Core Duo T9400
    • RAM: 4 GB ddr2 SODIMM 800 mhz pc2-6400
    • HARD drive: 320 GB (5,400 rpm) Scorpio

I ordered a Samsung 500 GB SSD and I want upgrad RAM 8 GB (expandable to the maximum), but my problem is:

I have been informed that probably not all the ram can be installed on this laptop (same model, same mhz but different brand)

I found online this similar to the one already installed RAM but would like to learn from experienced users, it is at least 100% compatible with your laptop. Attached is the connection of the ram, I want to buy:

It would be pointless to buy this ram then if the laptop detects me!

    Please help me!

    Thank you very much!

It is reassuring to have confirmation from an expert.
I immediately contact the manufacturer for more information on their products that I'm about to buy.
However, the price is almost the same, because I come from Italy.

A hot day and I thank you once again.
