HP 2159 dynamic contrast

I can't find a setting for dynamic contrast in the menu settting, but when I turn on the screen, a white poster window "OFF dynamic contrast. If it is currently disabled, why? How to set the dynamic contrast on IT?

TIA,

John

In the screen select Menu, quick view, color, film

Changing to other modes, it will turn off automatically.

See you soon,.

My laptop is a model y560; I got it a week ago. I know that the settings of the monitor and whatnot have this thing "dynamic contrast" pass, which apparently made the screen dim/brighten up whenever he felt the time to do it, DESPITE some power settings you can say to not darken the screen, never. I'm sure there are people who really love this parameter, but it is frankly one of the most annoying things that I have ever known.

I looked at the manual and looked more internet research and a little through the controls that I can find easily, and I am still unable to find a way to disable this "dynamic contrast", permanently. I don't want it to happen more. I am for setting the screen to cloud in some situations to be able TO, but only randomly have begins to decrease intensity while I'm in the middle of the reading/typing/watch that something is rather rather boring.

How do the parameters that will be turned off this feature? And once there, how can I turn it off?

  • U3415W, HDMI affected by dynamic contrast of the DP

    Hi all

I have a problem with my monitor for some time now that I have found no solution to still. My PC is connected to U3415W through DP with mode set to 'standard', which is ideal for my use. This mode does not allow changes to "dynamic contrast". When I went to the game HDMI with my console, after a while, when the PC goes into screensaver mode, it auto-dims the monitor even if I'm not posting with DP. My HDMI mode preset is "Gaming" with dynamic contrast turned off. Had been quite frustrating for me all this while until what I thought the output above. My PC Win8.1, AMD R9 290. Power of the window management is performing with Adaptive brightness of the screen set to off. HDMI in Gaming preset mode should not be affected by DP mode in preset Standard since I'm not currently using DP? Any help/input appreciated for this monitor if not, great.

    Thank you!

The DP is always committed internally even if you view the HDMI interface.  It there is no way to disable this feature, simply short disconnect DP cable and the monitor. So when the computer tells the monitor to start the screen saver, the monitor still reacts internally. If you use a display via HDMI, PC screen saver setting use. Just disable it before moving on to HDMI. Then turn it back on when the use of DP.

  • XPS 15 FHD - dynamic contrast?

I noticed especially when browsing the internet, if I go from a page that has white text on a black background for a page with black text on white background (or similar), that the screen will slowly brighten to and vice versa. It is similar to the function of dynamic contrast on many HDTVs, except on a TV I can disable this feature because I can't stand it. Is it possible to disable this on my XPS?

And no, this isn't just my eyes adjustment. It is very obvious, once you know what to look for.

P.S. I currently have my brightness turned all the way up to his more low if it makes a difference.

    Finally figured it out...

Open the Intel Graphics & Media Control Panel, click the power tab on the left, and then choose the characteristics of power and change the drop-down list on battery and uncheck Display technical Power saving.

  • P2417H, reverse ghosting

    Hello

    I have two screen P2417H

one of them has a strong case of reverse ghosting.

I try different mode, change the colors, the response time, the dynamic contrast...

one is connected hdmi the VGA, so I spend to ensure that it was not that is.

I zero it (reset) a few times (basically everytime I try new settings)

Here is a photo where you can see the purple line when I move the window:

Also, I tried to put in place the two screens of the same color. And no matter what, the Red are never the same. We tend to be a little orange (one without reverse ghosting), while the other manages to show a very deep red. It really feels like they aren't the same screen.

Do I remember my resseler and ask to replace, or it will be the same, or is there a solution to this problem of reverse remanence?

    Thank you

An update on the problem of "red-orange":

I sent monitor back to the seller and get a new P2417H.

The colors are great now, red is a true red.

  • U2415 - how to get my new monitors to stop themselves dimming

I just bought two new monitors U2415 off Newegg. Looks decent monitors unless they keep dimming themselves. It's terrible! I don't want my monitors gradation by themselves when I try to use my computer! Please tell me there is a way to disable this option. I already went through the Windows settings and disabled 'adaptive brightness. That make me think that there is a problem with the monitors.

    Crisis averted!

I've never touched the brightness and contrast settings. When you set the it warns you that "change contrast will disable dynamic contrast.

    What a waste.

  • Rendering video colors don't look like the preview during editing

    Hello

My rendering for some reason videos are always a bit bland and darker than MI overview looking with the ~ view. Here is an example:

    test premiere.jpg

    This framework was implemented first.

    test export.png

This is what it looks like after the export.

At first, I thought it had something to do with incorrect parameters in my color corrections, so I tested this release once again without color correction. So basically, I only cut the unwanted video output bits exported with the same parameters of the original video was recorded with, and the images above are the result. I tried to export with a lot of settings and formats, but I can't work. It's very frustrating edit your videos and get exactly how you want and then end up with a video rendering which is completely different.

Anyone know the reason for this difference?

You can compare the apples and Maserati.

That you read this export on? Back in PrPro, or according to Quicktime?

Most video players have their own, unique and strange way to "help us have more visually pleasant viewing experience"... that is to say, they hide with the signal/data and gamma range to "improve" things.

Also, in the installation of your card program video, there are a few options that allow you to control how the other players appear video. Here's to my Nvidia 970, he says that the video should be displayed in 0-255 and the Nvidia settings master reading rather than the player controls.

There are several video players in ways see the signal... some appear while 16-235, others use 16-255, and of course PrPro is 0-255. They can also change gamma and do things like the 'Dynamic contrast improvement' and 'Improving the colours' which are options even on my video card. What does everything that you did in PrPro not look good.

VLC is one of the best players, btw. AVOID QuickTime if you can.

  • Auto contrast/brightness on Toshiba excited write

    Hello!

I have a problem with my new Tablet Toshiba excited write.

You can use the quick settings for frequently used settings.
Press on & keep the status icons area until a flashing line appears. Then slide down the line to open the quick Control Panel.
You should see the brightness option. Tap to set the brightness of the screen.

Also, in the power management settings, you will be able to set up profiles to individual.
Here, you can set the brightness of the screen too.

  • SpeedGrade cc2015 added key do everything from lag and black or extremely contrast image

    Hello

If I make little adjustment, then add keyframe, the image of the picture suddenly turn very contrasting (http://puu.sh/iEtwR/646e04ec3f.png) then turn black.

then everything is lag while I'm on the sequence, I added keyframes, if I go somewhere else it's ok.

She seems to be with first pro mp4.

If I add the mov files into a new project of speedgrade, it seems to work, but I can't any mp4, except with dynamic links to first.

Another question, when I make any kind of change, it is not perfectly smooth, but a bit of lag... With parade or histogram, it is very laggy. With mxf, mov, mp4 etc.

    with dynamic link or not.

You can try with the last update (9.0.1)?

  • Is it possible to use the CONTRAST DETECTION as a method of applying mask/Matte?

This could be one of these more stupid questions, but I would still put forward and I hope that I can get answers that can satisfy my curiosity.

I came across this issue when I thought about how I can color-grade the subject independently without defining a range of color like the color of the skin, or peel the subject on the bottom and add something between the two without scope of roto. Then I thought of autofocus and it is possible to reverse the process of update automatic and really separate the proportions of the image are under discussion and which are out of focus. Usually I shoot with a narrow depth of field, and I think the BG would get a little blurry. So, it is possible to extract the areas of focus of the out-of-focus areas?

So the process of detection of contrast or edge detection (or to phase detection) detection during an irreversible autofocus?

Or require dynamic variations (to get different samples) to compare and evaluate values?

Or is it limited process to perform in only a small area rather than an entire image and would take too much if applied to a large area processing power?

Or is it just that all this is not mathematically this practice?

Many thanks to those who could answer this question!

Wish you a pleasant and creative day ~

It is possible to use the channel information to extract a mast. This information comes from the color and luminance values. It's what we call a procedure cache. Usually you duplicate your layer of film and start applying color effects to isolate certain areas of color and luminance, and then you use this sequence as a cache of luminance to the layer below.

Having said that, although it is fairly easy to find details of contours (actually find contours) it is extremely difficult to know which of these edges must be outside the desired area of masking. Trying to deconstruct the automatic update function, that a camera uses the image data would be quite a daunting task, and I don't know how effective is, it would be because there is currently no metadata binding to any part of the frame to something as the face of the person you want to use as a mask. Face detection algorithms can have a chance to do this for the faces, but other parts of the body would be extremely difficult to understand.

Stereo may offer a solution to extract a procedure cache on the part of your shot which is development that took you great care, setting up correct convergence for couples of images, but it would not isolate skin tones.

Rotobrush is an automated tool that requires user input to set inside the desired mask that uses the values of color and edge detection. It is very effective if you take care with photography original, but if you're not careful automatic roto using any tool becomes difficult if not impossible. Afterwards, the Visual effects are much more complicated if there is no production planning.

Colorista II is my favorite tool for this kind of color correction. It is a very effective tool of internal mast that can do amazing things using the color range. Other color Correctors (Davinci, for example) have other tools to isolate areas based on the color and luminance values. Your idea is interesting, but it would be very difficult to remove using current tools EI.

  • 2013 R550A / W802A / W900A: 'Dynamic Edge LED Backlight"vs Local Dimming

OK, I find it very confusing.  During a session here with Sony support chat, told me "dynamic lighting is the same as the local dimming.

    So wait, then.

If I understand correctly and according to the product pages, the technology of lighting for the following models of 2013 are as follows:

(Note: DELB = dynamic Edge LED backlight)

    R550A:

    NO DELB

    Framework of gradation

    W802A:

    DELB

Gradation of frame (actually listed on the Spec tab)

    W900A:

    DELB

    Local Dimming

OK, page of the 802, DELB + framework gradation means "Dynamic Edge LED backlight with gradation of framework offers scenes of dark and illuminates the light scenes. Rather than illuminate the entire screen, contrast is reinforced in all the right areas for a more realistic picture. »

If it stimulates clear areas, but also with the entire framework, which should theoretically control each region the same way that stimulate clear areas, gradation and (local) drive other areas don't?

I mean, if the 802 choking back the entire screen (this brings all regions down) and then compensate with stimulation from other regions, how is it different?

Sony R550A series and W802A series televisions incorporate the following display features.

    LED backlight type

Type - Frame of gradation of gradation

However, the series of W900A TVs has Dynamic Edge LED backlight with local dimming.

All LCD TVs need lighting behind the actual LCD Panel any. The type of lighting affects the TV picture contrast, color range and black level. Some models put the LEDs on the edges of the screen; more advanced models use a grid of LEDS behind the screen divided into sections that can be activated independently on and outside, a feature called "local dimming".

The Local Dimming function refers to the ability of a LED TV to independently control the backlight for different parts of the screen. This allows the display to produce more deep contrast black and several scenes or images with a combination of dark and light elements.

Gradation of the frame is the equivalent of a light local dimming, but with even less areas. Instead change the light for a specific region of the screen, it is the frame of the screen that changes in intensity.

NOTE: The Local Dimming function works only when the image Mode is set to Standard.

  • How to disable-grey-out "Image-> auto contrast"?

I just opened my first jpg in Photoshop CS5 and tried to use 'Image-> auto contrast', but all the Auto (tone, contrast, color) are greyed out. Image-> Mode is set to "RGB color". There is only one layer and I tried different combinations of selection (control) and unchecking gray stay (command) the image but the D car.

The last Photoshop CS5 Extended (Version 12.0.2) is running on a Mac Book (Snow Leopard 10.6.6

I read 'Photoshop CS5 for Dummies' of Peter Bauer and "Photoshop CS5 book" Kelby but can't find the answer in both. I also searched on the forum for "auto contrast" gray, but got 0 hits.

  • Tables created in a stored procedure cannot be used with dynamic SQL? The impact?

There is a thread on the forum which explains how to create tables within a stored procedure (How to create a table in a stored procedure , however, it does create a table as such, but not how to use it (insert, select, update, etc.) the table in the stored procedure.) Looking around and in the light of the tests, it seems that you need to use dynamic SQL statements to execute ddl in a stored procedure in Oracle DB. In addition, it also seems that you cannot use dynamic SQL statements for reuse (insert, select, update, etc.) the table that was created in the stored procedure? Is this really the case?

If this is the case, I am afraid that if tables cannot be 'created and used"in a stored procedure using the dynamic SQL, as is the case with most of the servers of DB dynamic SQL is not a part of the implementation plan and, therefore, is quite expensive (slow). This is the case with Oracle, and if yes what is the performance impact? (Apparently, with Informix, yield loss is about 3 - 4 times, MS SQL - 4 - 5 times and so on).

In summary, tables created within a stored procedure cannot be 'used' with dynamic SQL, and if so, what is the impact of performance as such?

    Thank you and best regards,
    Amedeo.

Published by: AGF on March 17, 2009 10:51

    AGF says:
    Hi, Frank.

Thank you for your response. I understand that the dynamic SQL is required in this context.

Unfortunately, I am yet to discover "that seeks to" using temporary tables inside stored procedures. I'm helping a migration from MySQL to Oracle DB, and this was one of the dilemmas encountered. I'll post what is the attempt, when more.

In Oracle, we use [global temporary Tables | http://www.psoug.org/reference/OLD/gtt.html?PHPSESSID=67b3adaeaf970906c5e037b23ed380c2] aka TWG these tables need only be created once everything like a normal table, but they act differently when they are used. The data inserted in TWG will be visible at the session that inserted data, allowing you to use the table for their own temporary needs while not collide with them of all sessions. The data of the TWG will be automatically deleted (if not deleted programmatically) when a) a commit is issued or b) the session ends according to the parameter that is used during the creation of the TWG. There is no real need in Oracle to create tables dynamically in code.

I noticed that many people say that the "Creation of the tables within a stored procedure" is not a good idea, but nobody seems necessarily explain why? Think you could elaborate a little bit? Would be appreciated.

The main reason is that when you come to compile PL/SQL code on the database, all explicit references to tables in the code must correspond to an existing table, otherwise a djab error will occur. This is necessary so that Oracle can validate the columns that are referenced, the data types of those columns etc.. These compilation controls are an important element to ensure that the compiled code is as error free as possible (there is no accounting for the logic of programmers though ;)).

If you start to create tables dynamically in your PL/SQL code, so any time you want to reference this table you must ensure that you write your SQL queries dynamically too. Once you start doing this, then Oracle will not be able to validate your SQL syntax, check the types of data or SQL logic. This makes your code more difficult to write and harder to debug, because inevitably it contains errors. It also means that for example if you want to write a simple query to get that one out in a variable value (which would take a single line of SQL with static tables), you end up writing a dynamic slider all for her. Very heavy and very messy. You also get the situation in which, if you create tables dynamically in the code, you are also likely to drop tables dynamically in code. If it is a fixed table name, then in an environment multi-user, you get in a mess well when different user sessions are trying to determine if the table exists already or is the last one to use so they can drop etc. What headache! If you create tables with table names, then variable Dynamics not only make you a lot end up creating (and falling) of objects on the database, which can cause an overload on the update of the data dictionary, but how can ensure you that you clean the tables, if your code has an exception any. Indeed, you'll find yourself with redundant tables lying around on your database, may contain sensitive data that should be removed.

With the TWG, you have none of these issues.

Also, what is the impact on the performance of the dynamic SQL statements in Oracle? I read some contrasting opinions, some indicating that it is not a lot of difference between static SQL and SQL dynamic in more recent versions of Oracle DB (Re: why dynamic sql is slower than static sql is this true?)

When the query runs on the database, there will be no difference in performance because it is just a request for enforcement in the SQL engine. Performance problems may occur if your dynamic query is not binding variable in the query correctly (because this would cause difficult analysis of the query rather than sweet), and also the extra time, to dynamically write the query running.

Another risk of dynamic query is SQL injection which may result in a security risk on the database.

Good programming will have little need for the tables of dynamically created dynamically or SQL.
