dynamic contrast settings

My laptop is a model y560; I got it a week ago. I know that the settings of the monitor and whatnot have this thing "dynamic contrast" pass, which apparently made the screen dim/brighten up whenever he felt the time to do it, DESPITE some power settings you can say to not darken the screen, never. I'm sure there are people who really love this parameter, but it is frankly one of the most annoying things that I have ever known.

I looked at the manual and looked more internet research and a little through the controls that I can find easily, and I am still unable to find a way to disable this "dynamic contrast", permanently. I don't want it to happen more. I am for setting the screen to cloud in some situations to be able TO, but only randomly have begins to decrease intensity while I'm in the middle of the reading/typing/watch that something is rather rather boring.

How do the parameters that will be turned off this feature? And once there, how can I turn it off?

  • U3415W, HDMI affected by dynamic contrast of the DP

    Hi all

I have a problem with my monitor for some time now that I have found no solution to still. My PC is connected to U3415W through DP with mode set to 'standard', which is ideal for my use. This mode does not allow changes to "dynamic contrast". When I went to the game HDMI with my console, after a while, when the PC goes into screensaver mode, it auto-dims the monitor even if I'm not posting with DP. My HDMI mode preset is "Gaming" with dynamic contrast turned off. Had been quite frustrating for me all this while until what I thought the output above. My PC Win8.1, AMD R9 290. Power of the window management is performing with Adaptive brightness of the screen set to off. HDMI in Gaming preset mode should not be affected by DP mode in preset Standard since I'm not currently using DP? Any help/input appreciated for this monitor if not, great.

    Thank you!

The DP is always committed internally even if you view the HDMI interface.  It there is no way to disable this feature, simply short disconnect DP cable and the monitor. So when the computer tells the monitor to start the screen saver, the monitor still reacts internally. If you use a display via HDMI, PC screen saver setting use. Just disable it before moving on to HDMI. Then turn it back on when the use of DP.

  • XPS 15 FHD - dynamic contrast?

I noticed especially when browsing the internet, if I go from a page that has white text on a black background for a page with black text on white background (or similar), that the screen will slowly brighten to and vice versa. It is similar to the function of dynamic contrast on many HDTVs, except on a TV I can disable this feature because I can't stand it. Is it possible to disable this on my XPS?

And no, this isn't just my eyes adjustment. It is very obvious, once you know what to look for.

P.S. I currently have my brightness turned all the way up to his more low if it makes a difference.

    Finally figured it out...

  • First try the producer consumer Architecture: continuous play and dynamically update settings.

    Hello

I am currently working with two instruments; an Agilent E3646A and a NI 6212 BNC. My goal is to have the 6212 continuously take measures according to predefined parameters while the E3646A parameters can be continuously updated. This combination simple instrument aims to help me learn the manual architecture; continuous measurement, output dynamic controls and instruments more will be added in the future.

I've already posted on a similar, but more complicated configuration (http://forums.ni.com/t5/Instrument-Control-GPIB-Serial/Split-second-lag-when-controlling-two-instrum... and was advised to try the producer consumer Architecture.) I found the documentation on the website (http://www.ni.com/white-paper/3023/en/, https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-2431), searched the forums and built my own VI. While my first attempt at a producer consumer Architecture has solved some of the problems I had when I posted on the subject, however, new questions have been raised regarding the reading and adoption of the VI.

I am currently able to run the VI and update the settings on the device. Previously, I'd get a freeze while the instrument has been updated and could not switch settings until it was done. This has been resolved, although that reading updates only when a parameter has been updated, although it is outside the structure of the event. In addition, the Stop button does not in any context. I also got occasional mistakes on the part of Deqeue, but the major part of the sentence is error-200279 'A tried to read samples that are no longer available' to DAQmx Read. I realize that there is a problem in my loop of producer but have not been able to find a way to solve it.

This is my first attempt at a producer consumer Architecture and already I can see that it is a powerful tool. I read as much as I could and looked at examples, but should have some problems at the beginning. Would be very grateful of any advice so I can take full advantage of the architecture.

    Hope to hear from you,

    Yusif Nurizade

You're going to overflow this buffer, unless the events are generated faster than "sample rate/number of samples.   Period.  Nothing could be simpler.

You don't need a local to stop your curls.

Try something like this attachment.  I simply moved the structure of the event in its own loop dedicated since it had nothing to do with acquiring data at all.

Data acquisition loop stops very well when you destroy the task and destrying the stops of power queue (sending the default values of the queue for the power control) for EXAMPLE, to ADD a group of setting 'Safe shutdown' to a 'package' and it wire to the Center terminal (Prototype).

  • Dynamic filter settings

I created dynamically a drop shadow for a mc in my project. This isn't a big deal. The parameters are not difficult, either. This is the frustrating part - I can't get the settings to be changed on the fly and react to the entrance. In this case, I use a couple of equations to determine the distance between the mouse and the mc and the angle that results. I try to get the filter drop shadow to use these data and change its distance and angle to react settings. So far, no dice. Any ideas?

  • Toshiba 39L4353DB - picture settings

    Hi all

If someone could advise on the best settings of picture for this model. Most of the comments say together on day of Hollywood or settings pro in Hollywood, but even with the brightness & contrast settings, the image looks too gray. The standard setting is the best that I can get but seems too bright for my taste.

The display auto setting is too dark, too bright. Someone out there with this model that give some guide that they put their game for. I had two previous Toshiba TVs & gave excellent service without problem, but I think that the picture settings were far superior to the current 39L4353DB.

As I m not wrong there are three (next to the dynamic and standard mode) additional photo gifts: night of Hollywood, Hollywood and Hollywood Pro

Night mode of Hollywood and Hollywood day should be used in different contexts of ambient light.
Hollywood Pro by default values seems to be very similar to the night of Hollywood, but Pro supports the additional automatic calibration function.

But its not easy to provide the best picture settings because it always different factors, for example; device that is connected to the television audience, environment, habits, image source and quality

I recommend to download some FullHD basic test images and to calibrate the TV to your own offers.

    Hi guys and girls,

I tried the L series thread before asking this question, so apologies if I have to look harder!

My research found that I am not alone, a guy advised that the contrast is adjustable from the Intel Panel. Although I find this other laptop brands, this Toshiba does not allow me access. I can replace it or is there another way to set the contrast of the screen? I understand usually laptops do not allow this kind of display manipulation, however, our way of seeing things is something personal.

Am I destined to be disatissfied with my new beautiful machine? Help, please!

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello

You can calibrate the colours on the screen. I checked the control panel and it seems that Windows 7 already has such a tool for calibrating the colors.

    I found it here:
    Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display

On the left see you some options and then click on color to calibrate it. A new window will open where you can configure it. Just follow the instructions on the screen. :)

  • Cannot read print because the contrast is to light. How to darken print and highlight boxes to increase the contrast?

When I'm reading emails or check applications footprint is so slight, that I have a difficult given the impression. Any suggestions on how to increase the contrast would be appreciated.

    Hello Annette,.

Some possible solutions for you. First of all, you have a laptop? Many of them automatically lower the brightness and contrast settings to save battery power. And it cannot be changed in the settings of the power Plan. So stop fist is here. Adjust the brightness and contrast settings until you can see comfortably. How is the impact on the battery? It is an interesting compromise?  Note: changes made to a diet plan will be lost when you connect to the wide, unless you save the changes as a custom power plan.

Then go to Start Menu, and then select one of the programs (all must be changed in turn). For each program in the list, select properties and then select the Compatibility tab scroll down the list and tick executer run in compatibility and Mode in the drop-down list, select Windows 7. Then scroll down the list of options and select the last one, disable the display of high scale on the DPI screens. Click on apply and OK

If these two mechanisms fail, go to control panel, select personalization and select one of the themes (all must be changed in turn). For each theme, select a basic and high contrast theme. You can still select / change the wallpaper, but borders, text, etc., are individually chosen by you.

Try these approaches (ensuring that save you changes you want) and let me know how you fare. Please post back here with any specific questions or concerns about something. Its what we are here for.

  • Apex 4.2 newbie: dynamic action, PLSQL expression & bind variable

    Hello

I'm in the Action page dynamic editing > settings-> Expression PLSQL.

A test, I want to do a textfield equal to the value of another field. All of the remaining work, I need to do on my form is based on this capability, for example, if I can filter the content of my shuttle with a textfield. But for now, nice and simple: a textfield equal to another.

The problem is that my link variable appears to return a null value when it's non-zero.

Thus, for example, field entering the PLSQL Expression NVL(:P1_PAGE_ITEM_TEXT,'No') returns always 'no' to a textfield in the page. However, P1_PAGE_ITEM_TEXT is not null - I put a refresh on shot down and I am happily adding text... but the textfield shows simply "no".

Googling, I see other people had similar problems a few years back and resorted to JS instead of PLSQL. But I think it's more likely that I'm doing it wrong that it's a bug! (Dynamic - Action Alert view the value in the field

I would be grateful if someone could confirm that it is possible to do what I want to do - and how!

    Thank you

Construction IN is always a nasty...
because you get: where id in "a, b, c" (where a, b, c is the value of P1_PAGEITEM)
and you should get: where id in ('a', 'b', 'c')
There is no easy solution for this. If you must certainly construction IN you "convert" the value of P1_PAGEITEM to a table (with a function in pipeline and apex_util.string_to_table). Just Google for a solution.

Try to make it work with a single value first (before that you increase the complexity)

And the definition of LOV should be: SELECT description, Àtable FROM returnvalue to display the description.
