  I use a Dell Inspiron 1720 with windows vista and when I use the external sound keys to change the volume or activate it power, there is no popup or any symbol on the dash board to tell me what level my volume is or if it is enabled or disabled. I am obliged to judge everything by ear that my sound level is completely enter the control panel and open the volume tab, I don't want to do. • Volume bar on screen - desktop PC HP Pavilion Slimline s3680d lost

  I have a Slimeline Pavilion s3680d desktop PC. When I raise or lower the volume by using controls keyboard a bar of green volume came on screen, but now it's gone. Controls still work, just like the speakers - only no visual indicator.

  Someone mentioned disabling the HP MediaSmart Menu active in the startup item in System Configuration in the forum earlier, but I couldn't find it in my startup item. HP support staff could not offer much help too.

  Are you sure you're in the right library? The library of the user is hidden in the latest versions of Mac OS X. To see it, click on the menu go to the Finder and hold down the Option key, then it appears in the small house for your user account.

  I have a HP G72 laptop, product number: WJ746AV, running Windows 7 (64-bit). Since I got the laptop I have had this view from the volume show when I adjust the volume using the keyboard:

  I recently formatted my laptop, and then I installed windows 7 Professional (64 bit). After that, I installed the drivers for the quick launch of the multimedia keys. Now all the buttons work well. However when I press the volume buttons (cursor) I don't see the Nice volume on my screen bar more. This is important because I don't know how loud a sound is going to be before I actually hear this sound. Is there any additional software that I need to install in order to have this volume again bar indicator?

  All by offering presentations on Webex, more than 50% of the time of the volume bar appears on my screen.  WebEx is somehow triggering.  It's the same volume bar that appears outside Webex when I manually press the keyboard volume up/down buttons on my Thinkpad R61i.  I am running XP and IE8.  The volume bar obscures an important part of the screen and appears on my laptop, the video output and my viewers Webex remote.  I would really like to know how to disable this voljume bar!

  I have a Pavilion dv7, model: dv7-3060US notebook.  I upgraded my OS from Win 7 Home Premium to Win 7 Ultimate.  Since the upgrade, scrolling on the Touchpad, (is is not off,) no longer works.  More, the touch volume control does not work properly.  The small speaker above the keyboard icon does not turn orange when the sound is muted and the volume on the screen bar no longer displays when you adjust the volume.

  I saw other models with the same issue, but have not found an ad for my particular model.  Where can I find a solution to this problem

  With regard to the volume bar, follow these steps.

  Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

  When finished, restart the computer and let Windows load completely.  Open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

  Question for the TouchPad, first download the latest program install Synaptics driver from the link below and again, Save in your downloads folder.

  Then, open windows control panel, open programs and features, right click on the entry "Synaptics Pointing Device Driver" and choose uninstall.

  When this has completed, restart the laptop.

  When windows has completely recharged, open your download folder, click with the right button on the setup of Synaptics and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

  Now, follow the process under the heading "Setting horizontal and vertical scrolling" detailed in the link below.

  I bought a new power supply for more tension and installed (plug connector had a 4 contacts more than the orginal but plugged Council ok) after having done that I did get no monitor display so I put power supply original back in and still nothing on the screen. Could I have burned something? Everything seems not start dvd, keyboard, and cooling fans just no display.

  Just bought a new monitor for my old Presario SR1500NX, but I can't adjust the screen resolution of 1600 x 900, who wants my monitor - it has a maximum setting of 1024 x 768. (Monitor = from HP2009m, widescreen) The graphics in my PC is "VIA / S3G UniChrome IGP. When I go to the tab view S3 it shows "Display devices" like an old CRT monitor, which I did not.   AG, here is a video card that should work with your power supply and a new monitor.  It is not a barn burner, but a lot more than the maximum resolution that is required to run it.  It is said that the minimum power is 300W.  However, manufacturers tend to overstate the power requirements of their cards.  Read the customer reviews and specifications on the product Page.  This will give you some good information.

  The card should improve the performance of your computer, too.  It will free the system memory that is shared with the video chip and add video memory on the card itself.  You could improve the memory to 2 GB to increase performance even more.

  Problem: I just installed Windows 7 Professional, after installing all the drivers (bios, video, audio, touchpad etc - all the standard drivers) there are no bar appearing when I press F9 - F10 (volume bar) and F2 - F3 (broghtness bar) - front bars for sure there (volume bar with the icon of Beats and bar itself).
