  Photos for Mac doesn't have the option to detect the library even for lack of faces.  All photos will be scanned for faces, when first import you the photos. And this analysis is exhaustive. There is no need to search more faces.

  Faces analysis takes a lot of time. It runs in the background. So it helps to keep the mac running with open pictures for background processing as long as you're not using your MAc.

• Extruded text missing faces

  Trying to do a piece with a clear text flat san-serif on a spiral of extrusion in the distance, with the center of the spiral, as the point of leakage. When I do this, some extruded faces are created and others do not. Usually the curved parts of the letters get extruded, but flat surfaces (such as sitting on the baseline apartments) are not. Considered as test editable as long as outlines. Surfaces were missing.

  Tested with a much simpler version - 2 lines of text with yields between them so a line was near the top of the page and the other down for extrusion would use the center of the page as the vanishing point. Similar but different results surfaces were missing.

  I know CS is not intended to be a 3d power but I really don't have the time (or money) to learn Maya or Blender or similar. I'm decent at Google SketchUp but import eps described in the Pro version gives thousands of unconnected segments. Might as well pull the text by hand at this time there...

  Question: I use the application CleanMyMac to keep my Mac in shape. Recently, they came out with an update which suggested that deleting 'useless' data from the Photos app to save space. They promised that there can be no harm to delete these data. Unfortunately, they are wrong. Now when I go in the album of faces on my Photos app, much Face tiles are just gray circles. When I click to open the photo, it opens, but faces album is pretty useless if I can't see previews of the photos. Is it possible to restore the data that allows me to see the faces of tiles in a preview? Here is a picture of what my screen looks like with the tiles in gray:

  

  I tried the "Repair library" option when starting from the Photos app, but it doesn't seem to do anything. I also tried a few other troubleshooting that took me more deeper into a hole that brought me to restore my library from a Time Machine backup point. Fortunately I don't lose all the photos, but I started with the issue of tiles of faces. Any suggestions are appreciated!

  1. get rid of CleanMyMac - Malwear is and you never use (or any other cleaning software) - he is never necessary and is very dangerous because it has been known to totally disable the computers by removing the needed filesystem - CleanMyMac and MacKeeper are among the worst programs autour

• Missing geometry

  I have a problem with missing faces. I create multiple models with polys 2000 or less. All the geometry gets exported successfully. (I tried creating a new movie and import my model.) All geometry is here.)
  
  My actual film (a space sim which dynamically loads all models using filename meth) slaughter of the faces - the most that are on the edge of the model. I also sometimes what glance at the hairline cracks between the faces on the Board. The strange thing is... to clear it (for the most part, not completely) I have to lower my geometry setting export. If I ride it, the problem is getting worse. In addition, it's always the same faces, also long the adjustment of the geometry is the same. I thought that I had this problem (thanks to Hondo for the great tip on the activation of elevator = #both test), but it turns out that it was actually not normal. I saw just the back of another face that resembled what should y benn. I also use a simple, non-transparent shader. Although I tried several textures, the problem is always the same. I tried to disable LOD and allowing it, but to a bias of 100. Still occurs. It seems that the only thing I can do is to adjust the geometry to export, but it is not a complete solution and I know not that there must be something wrong somewhere.   I should add that I am not visited more than 10 to 20 k at the same time. Is there a limit to how many polys each model before resolution is affected? It seems to me that, after notice of 1300-1400, it is when my problem arises.

  Just a note if someone ever see this message later - it was question of external file loading. My w3d files were not fully charged before I made a clone of their share. Once I correctly their loadstate verfied before cloning, everything is as it should.

  Option 1

  Save and try to rebuild the library: press command and option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. The dialog that allows you to rebuild. Choose to repair the database. If this does not help, then try again, this time to help to rebuild the database.

  If this does not work:

  Option 2

  Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its function of reconstruction. (In early versions of the Library Manager, this is the file-> command Rebuild.) In versions later it is under the menu library.)

  This will create a completely new library. It will then copy (or try) your photos and all associated metadata and versions to this library and as close as possible to what you had in the damaged library fix it. It does this based on the information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but it means that things not shared won't be there, so no slide shows, books or calendars, for example - but it should recover all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places.

  Because this process creates a completely new library and does not change your old, it is non-destructive, and if you are not satisfied with the result, you can simply go back to your old.

• Model quality problems

  I export templates to w3d 3dsmax6 and most of the time, all right. However, some models end up with missing faces. If I turn up the level of geometry to export, the problem only gets worse. But the preview before exporting the PERFECT air.
  I've disabled LOD for the object and checked that it is not a problem of transparency of texture. The polycount is about 1500-2500. I vaguely remember someone in a post saying that if you have objects that overlap each other, it can cause weird problems like this.
  
  My is... question does anyone has more info on this? Other possible ideas? Any help would be much appreciated, as this is slowed down by a project of mine a lot.

  I've never used 3Dsmax, but maybe you should check out the directions of all normal. If some of them were reversed, they are no longer visible on one side.

  try to check in the Director by making them all visible from both sides.

  If your models now look correct, go back to 3dsmax and make all normal in the right direction. Maybe you in max something like backfaceculling for the preview window.

• @font-face missing in Firefox 15 ligatures

  I use a @font-face for my site, http://lunatorium.com/, and the ligatures fi and ff are not displayed to the top.

  This happened in the latest versions of Firefox and was corrected by adding - moz-font-feature-settings: "liga = 0; rule @font-face for policies affected, but since the upgrade to Firefox 15, which set no longer works. The solution is in place and the ligatures appear not, but ONLY 15 of Firefox. All other browsers are fine.

• Missing in ADF faces ScrollBar table on Ipad

  Hello
  
  Tables ADF Faces surrounded by PanelCollection available show scrollbars you like on PC (also on the Web browser Safari on PC) but have no scroll bars on Ipad. All the other elements make it very well.

  I also tried to change surrounding component at PanelStretch, PanelSplitter, etc. with no luck

  The ADF for the iPad/iPhone support is rapidly improving every version and the 11.1.1.4.0 version you are using is quite old now (2010). I suggest you try the 11.1.2.1.0 last generation to see if that solves your problem.

  On a side note, the iPad does not have scroll bars, you scroll with your finger. So what you may ask is support for gestures, does not scroll bars.

• Omni 10 front face camera missing in camera app icon

  Hi all
  My front facing camera on my Omni 10, 64 is not available to choose from the app.
  I called and they helped me. I actually could see the icon specified in the camera to switch application and it worked perfectly for a week. It has now disappeared again.
  Support has remove me the current driver for the camera, and then restart your computer. When I did, the driver had re-installed itself and everything was great.
  Now, my problem is it stopped working again, and I don't know which driver I deleted. When in Device Manager, I can't understand which section it was or what it was called. the Lady helping me tried several things until we arrived at this, then it worked, but there were too many other things going on for me to remind and I thought that it was fixed to permenantly so I don't have a note or a page first.
  Any ideas? I really want to remember and go

  I had to spend my Tablet 10 Omni at my desk after that - the pop ups blocked much too much of the screen.  This may be posted elsewhere, I don't know.  But that is a different problem.

  Mods if you see a similar message by me, Ron7624, remove it.

  I finally remember that the only thing I have to do is wide upward from the lower right, then opens a small panel which is connected to the camera, change the camera button, a timer and an element of control of the exhibition

  So there is nothing wrong, just me not to remember this little trick.

• The screen add people faces a (~ 1600) much just show as squares of white, grey

  I was going through my photo library (running 2.0 on Sierra Photos) cleaning and marking of the people. I got far just about every face on the left is a square white, gray. If I add this person, the area where the image would be just rotates the circle of progress.

  Any idea on what is happening? I really miss the ability in iPhoto in order to have a Smart Album based on a photograph with a person "without name".

  That is a disused here bug that if you click on the x to remove a face, you end up with a tile empty - I hope that this will be fixed in a future Apple 9tell on the bug to improve its priority - http://www.apple.com/feedback/photos.html of output) and I hope that the patch will fix these old problems as well as properly - not advancing It is better to stop the removal of the faces until this problem is corrected

• Face recognition

  Why all the faces are detected?  I have pictures that the face recognition does not pick up on. How can I add them?

  You ask about the opening or the Photos.app face recognition? On a Mac or on a mobile device?

  Face recognition is a very complicated task. The algorithm of recognition of face in the Photos has been greatly improved with macOS Sierra and iOS 10, but it is still not as good as the human visual system to recognize faces in a photo.

  In applications of photos on a Mac you can add manually, faces that have been missed by the face detection, but this is not possible in the Photos on the iPhone or iPad.

  In the use of the opening ' photos > faces missing Detect "to rescan the photos selected.  And use "metadata > assign names" to name the faces detected and assign the additional faces images.

• ID/faces of the people in the Sierra pictures, pulling up the non-functional names

  Someone knows how to fix this? Is it a new setting I'm missing? I've already sent feedback to Apple.

  Photos, when I come across a photo of a person without a name, I can click on the field "no name" and a list of names appears. In the Sierra, however, the list includes names of new non-functional based on the e-mail addresses that are causing problems with my library.

  For example, if I type my name, I see three suggestions:

  1. my full name, with the thumbnail associated with my Photos 'face '.

  2. my full name with my email from Apple below address and the photo of my Contacts entry

  3. my full name with a secondary e-mail, which I have also listed in Contacts, with no tile

  If I take 1, everything works as usual.

  If I take 2 or 3, Photos makes a new person with just my name. It does not automatically fill in the rest of my name. I find myself with two entrances of the person, one with my full name and one with my name. I then merge these. This happens with all the people, not just me.

  I have the same problem. When I want to manually add a face without a name/person, I get very often 2 proposals:

  (1) the person sought with the profile photo, the first name and family name. If a picture is displayed, this means that I have already assigned photos to this person.

  (2) the same person, with or without a profile picture, with name, surname and e-mail. This proposal seems to come from my contacts, because it shows the same profile photo and mail the address I have for this person in my contacts.

  If I add the photo to the contact person, the person is added as a person in Photos. But with only the name, not the name, which is a little ridiculous, especially when you are systematically adding people and having many with the same name.

  I merge the two to get back 1 "individual" in photos, with first and last name (first and last).

  So somehow Photos is not capable of matching 'people' in photos to anyone in my contacts list. Even when you merged the two and said Photos this way they need to be put in correspondence.

• After updating to iOS 10, faces of synchronization is no longer

  I spent several months to organize my 19000 photos with Photos, Apple, including all faces. On iOS 9 I couldn't see the album of faces, but I could search for faces. So my marking has worked for my iMac and sync both my iPad and iPhone.

  I have now installed iOS 10, and I'm unable to find the faces, I've spent so many months carefully marking. Now, I have an album of "person", but as far as I can see, I have to start naming the faces from scratch on iPhone and iPad. I started with my wife on my iPad and found it identified as more than 50 people. So I had to merge these and then name them. And this is just my wife. Now, it seems that I have to repeat this step for all faces, and then do the same thing on my iPhone, as it appears that my work on the iPad won't not be synchronized. And when my iPhone more 7 arrives - will I have to start all over again?

  I hope I'm missing something important, because otherwise I'm having trouble believing that. I read that it has to do with issues of privacy, but that doesn't seem to be a problem with iOS 9. Even if it's a valid consideration, I think I should at least have the choice of sync or not.

  Research of faces is one of the most important filters in my photo archives. Now, it seems that the amount of work I have to do to be able to access this filter on all devices was suddenly has considerably. Certainly if the faces will be not carried over from a device to its replacement.

  To put it gently, I'm not amused, and hope against hope that one of my readers will be able to point out how wrong I am and how it should be done. In the meantime, it may be an idea to put the name in the description field instead or in addition, a face in the pictures on the iMac, that this information sync (and is not a privacy issue?)
