  My hard drive has a hardware encryption, so my sequence is probably slightly different from yours. However, as a computer scientist, I guess you must first decrypt your hard drive, before you disable or remove the HP drive encryption.

  Before running my upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 (Pro 64-bit), I had to decipher (which took 5 minutes), then uninstall several components, then HP Client Security.   The question may be how the new hard drive has been formatted.  Take a look at the way in which the reader is implemented by clicking Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > double-click on computer management > double-click storage.  Is all the space on the disk are responsible?  If so, take a look at these two documents for your problem:
