HP 5070 - 2026 Slimline s7700n 802. 11 b/g Wireless Module.

I have a HP 5070 - 2026 Slimline s7700n 802. 11 b/g Wireless Module. Cannot know where to plug them.

I thought about it.  The Wireless Module has a connector of 5 slim lead with only 4 cords. The 15 in one card reader has the same connector with the 5th hole plugged.  Both connect to a connector usb (one on each half) the plugged hole goes on the side with only 4 pins.

Works like a charm now.

Thanks for the reply.  I know there is a PCI slot but it is also stated in the specifications of the product is not available.  I didn't remove the system cover, but I'm not opposed to doing so.  According to research at the back of the PC that a PCI slot is probably occupied by a dial-up modem.  If so, can't remove it and use a gigabit adapter in its place?

  • Slimline M9Z78AA #ABA: Realtek RTL8723BE and RTL8188EE 802.11b/g/n Wireless Lan Driver Update on problem April 6 April

The update that HP did on my computer - brand new HP with Windows 10 broke my wireless adapter. Intermittently, it disables it. Also internet is slow sometimes before all the locks to the top (I use the latest browser Chrome - same problem is in internet explore and edge). A few minutes after it crashes, the wireless disconnects and reconnects not without go into the control panel and clicking on the wireless adaper - disable - enable - repeatly until it goes back.

    THIS HAPPENS EVERY DAY!

With that, I called and a technical support 'fixed' it but it always does. Clearly, this is the update. The wireless worked perfectly BEFORE this update. HP PLEASE FIX THIS AND GIVE US A NEW UPDATE!

    Hello

If you're right about the update affecting Wi - Fi, and it has been fixed, and then reappeared, are you aware of what has been done to remedy this?

I think that perhaps a rollback (Restore Point prior) and temporarily disable the automatic updates and denying HP do updates either.

If you right-click on the card in the Device Manager and select Properties, you will be able to restore the pilot here.

You can try command line tools to eventually help in the command as administrator prompt, type these commands

    netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log

    ipconfig/release
    ipconfig / renew

    netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log

    nbtstat - RR

    netsh wlan show interfaces

    ipconfig/flushdns
    ipconfig/registerdns

    netsh winsock reset catalog

and then you may have disabled the problem.

    Robin,

It's the support page from Dell for your computer--> http://www.dell.com/support/my-support/us/en/04/product-support/servicetag/JHDFR1S/config?s=BIZ

As near as I know, your Optiplex was conducted in Australia.  If you are indeed in Australia (and you probably, if you have a modem/router of Telstra), I have no information on what products could be made available to you or where you could buy them.

My personal preference would be an adapter that includes a cable for the antenna is not positioned between the back of your computer and the wall.  However, if your computer will be less a few meters from the router, there is not much difference, and you can use an adapter that looks like a USB key (or smaller).  My guess is that all of the products on this page might work for you--> http://www.mwave.com.au/networking-wireless/adapters-addon-cards-wireless?view=40&pricerangeid=1&filter=383%3Dusb&filteroptions=383%3Dinterface that the correct driver should be included on a CD supplied with the appliance.

  • 802. 1 x wireless - apply user AND computer authentication

I use ACS v5.6 and I would like to confirm that it is not possible to apply the two authentication user and machine against AD prior access Wireless Windows 7 clients, using the PEAP/MSCHAPv2 Protocol and the built-in supplicant 802. 1 x.

The only solution seems to imply MAR (Machine Access Restrictions), which are quite significant disadvantages.

I'd rather not have to deploy user certificates and computer.

All I want to do is to allow access to the fi only Wi-Fi the device and the user are in AD.

It's such a simple scenario that I must be missing something.

Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance for your comments.

It is possible to authenticate the user and the machine, you can check the computer account on an Active Directory (a method).

This document should help (Machine Authentication):

  • 802. 1 x wireless and wired network

    Hello

I have to configure a Wi - Fi network and 802.1 x and I don't know what components I need. ACS or NAC appliance?

    Hello

    802. 1 x is an authentication mechanism to devices at the port (L2) level.

    Can be wired or wireless.

    Here's what you'll need:

    A client (Windows computer, peripheral end-user 802.1 x compatible)

    An authenticator (switch, AP)

    An authentication server (Radius)

The intention is to authenticate the user as soon as the detection of the activity of L2, for example when a user plug the computer to a port on a switch.

You can do a quick test with the following components:

    Client (Windows computer)

    Authenticator (Cisco Switch)

    Authentication server (ACS)
