HP 5510 e: 5510e HP stops printing

I had three simple (Word Mac11) documents to print. The first two prints without problem. When I pressed 'Print' for the third document I received a message that "the printer does not respond." This happens frequently. Sometimes, everything shut down and restart the work, but often it does not. I have the latest version of the driver and a solid network connection. Is not only absurd, it's extremely frustrating. If you have a suggestion as to what is wrong or how to fix this, please put in simple English and technical jargon No. This has been up here a reliable printer, but this problem is now me to the point of feeling, he has "done its homework" and should be replaced.

Hi Kathy_1,

Thank you for your answer!

I would also recommend trying the steps in this guide, the printer is not maintain wireless, because it will help you maintain the wireless connection.

In addition, the following tips can help prevent the wireless connection problems:

  • Move the printer and the computer or access point (router) closer together.
  • Remove any metal object between the printer and the computer or (router) access point. Objects such as refrigerators or metal libraries can interfere with wireless transmission.
  • Move any device that emits signals of radio more away from the printer. Devices such as the microwave ovens and cordless phones can interfere with wireless transmission.
  • Check with the manufacturer of router for the updates and the configuration of your router.
  • Make sure that your computer is not connected via a VPN. You can access your printer on your wireless network when you are connected to a VPN.

You want to make sure that your router does not switch between the frequency of 2.4 ghz and 5 ghz ghz frequency. That the printer can connect only to the frequency of 2.4 ghz. Please consult the manufacturer of the router for instructions.

    Original title: fault printer

    Hello

I have a HP Photosmart 5510e printer that has suddenly stopped printing correctly because the black ink is not getting through.  I did everything possible troubleshooting I can and replaced all the cartridges for new ones, but nothing helped.  When I did a report print quality he had no black ink on it at all. This leads me to think that there may be a blockage between the cartridge and print head. Any ideas?

You might want to try this: failure of black ink Photosmart 5510 e-All in one series

Using cartridges HP no also could cause this kind of problem.  Otherwise, it is usually a sign that the printhead is kaput, impossible to replace this printer print head if the printer is also kaput, on the garbage heap, it will!  That's how it is with printers, you can either pay in advance for a printer expensive hard and has lower cost of Ink/toner replacement or you can buy a cheap and pay through the nose for ink replacement and in a year or two to mix the printer all out with the trash.

  • Photosmart 5510 has suddenly stopped printing black

I have a Photosmart 5510 new, which was working fine, then suddenly stopped printing black.  Replace the cartridge and still nothing.  Prints fine colour, but not black.  No error message, just jumps print anything in black.  Excluded bone by the attempt at analysis and still nothing.

Yay! I'm happy now. I did the thing to chat online with technical support and that's what I got: on the front screen of the printer, press the arrow to the right, and you should see an icon "Setup." Press on that. Then press tools, then scroll down to "Clean print head." Press the key. When it's done it spits out a test page and voila! It now prints. I hope that this works for some of you all!

  • Photosmart C309 abruptly stopped, printing black ink (any solution?)

My HP Photosmart Premium C309 suddenly stopped printing black.

Everyone recognizes this problem and has a solution?

I tried to unplug the power plug, power switch, cleaning of the printheads several times (manually), cartridge to give a little air, checked the connections, replacement of cartridge again. Nothing helps.

Browse the internet: it seems that this problem occurs with the most HP printers.

See for example: some forum someone temporarily solves the problem by performing cleaning operations for (more than) 7 times, which cost five new cartridges to replace, and after a month or if the problem recurs.

I wouldn't do this because I don't want to empty an another XL cartridge and then discover the problem recurs.

The printer (bought in April 2010) is connected through the USB port on a Mac Pro 8Core with OS - X 10.6 (I always use only paper HP and HP original cartridges)

Thanks for your help in advance.

    Y.S.,

This "Absolutely" worked for my c309! He started printing gray yesterday, then I finally got the blank pages. My first thought was that HP has screwed me again! lol but I tried the post above... I have unplugged the printer for more than 25 seconds, held down the 3 and # buttons simultaneously for another 25 dry more plugged in printer and now the buttons down then made for another 25 sec.  Had to reset the lang. and the country, but after a few minutes he printed a perfect test page and I was able to print all my docs now!  It was a solution easy vs on the removal of the water and heads/cartridge, etc.  I would try this first and if it doesn't work, then you can try other patches. Thank you!!!  Good luck!

What I did and it worked has been reset to the factory settings, unpluging the printer during ± 25 seconds

3 and # for and other 25 seconds went and after pitting power back on

  • HP Officejet Pro 8610-e: HP Officejet Pro 8610-e will not stop printing

I am trying to print on paper legal and necessary only 5 copies. After spewing of 17 full copies and 4 partial, I turned it off in the hope that it would stop.  Fortunately, when I turned it back there.  I'm not a computer guru, so a lot of the phraseology of the aid might as well be Greek to me.

I've had my printer for about a week now and have not had this problem because it happened first, but I would like to know how do I cancel a print job, just in case it never happens again.   It is also interesting that this happened when I was printing on legal-size paper.  (Thank God, I don't have to do very often!)

Thank you in advance for any advice you can offer.

When a document is printing (or was sent and is about to print), there will be an indicator at the top of the screen, with an X white within a circle and print.  Touch and it displays a screen with a rex from X in the lower left corner.  Press X to stop printing.

Note that if a print job is always sent from the computer, it can take a long time for the printer to be ready for the next job.  The printer stops printing immediately when you press the red X, but the computer can continue to send the rest of the job that will be discarded by the printer.

    1. Click the tab for your HP printer, if there is more than one registered to your account.
    2. All remaining on the "printers" tab scroll down to the "My Print Apps" section and click the application you want to cancel the subscription of delivery.
    1. Click on "Setup".
    1. Click 'update settings '.
    2. Click on 'Cancel the delivery' at the bottom of the page. (highlighted in blue)

This allows you to access the Print App for delivery on demand at any time. To completely remove the print estimated delivery application, proceed to the next step.

  • HP Officejet 6500 has stopped printing, paper white just came out.

My Officejet 6500 has just stopped printing.  I use a USB connection and my operating system is Windows XP Home Edition.  At first, it was just the text that Wouln't print but the colors would come by, even on test prints.  On a print document the little box comes up showing the data transferred to printer, printer starts but doesn't work with a blank page.  I have uninstalled/reinstalled program, has gone through the full program of the HP Solutions guided, checked all connections, installed the new driver, and yet do not print anything.  Have never had any previous problems since I bought.  I have not recently installed new programs.  Would appreciate any other suggestions.

After everything I lived, I finally solved the problem.  Although the ink levels showed ink cartridges, I put a new black in one and it works!

  • OfficeJet pro 8500 a: 8500 has will not stop printing

immediately after setting up and installation of my 8500 it began printing a page with only the fraction 1/4 and a smiling face in the very top left of the page and that's all it prints, one after the other, again and again, and do not stop. If I have to cancel the printing of the touch screen, it stops the current print but restarts printing again shortly after.

I sent a test page (page has shown in print queue), but I won't stop printing the page of fraction and smiley face.  the work queued print ever.

There is no error before, after or during the printing of this page.

Welcome to the HP community @gemini570,

I understand your Officejet 8500 has constantly prints a page with a smiling face in the upper left corner, and I wanted to respond to try to help.

Please, start by connecting your PC to the print and scan doctor and choose "print trouble." This diagnostic tool will check for all conflicts that may be causing the problem. The tool will show you a report at the end. If there is a problem that the tool could not fix, you will notice it in the results.

You can also check to see if you have Web Services enabled on the front of the printer and try to turn it off to see if the pages stop printing on.

If the above don't help, try to uninstall the printer software , restart the computer and run the HP printer install Windows Wizard to install the printer.

Another idea that comes to mind, would be to try stop and start the print spooler:

    1. click on start
    2. type 'Services' in the search field.
    3. open SERVICES
    4. at the bottom, click "extended view.
    5. search for the print spooler
    6. right click and choose Properties
    7. Select Automatic from the drop-down list, close the window
    8. right-click Print Spooler and select 'Stop', wait until it stops and then again right click and 'Start '.
    9. close out Services and try your print.

  • Why the printer stop printing when you click Cancel?

This may belong in the Technet forum, but this is a question that concerns me since the days of Windows 95.

Sometimes striking impression make you you screwed up in a certain way and to cancel the print job. Enter the printer, right click on the document and hit Cancel usually takes some time, during which the printer keeps printing and waste of ink & paper.
Why is this? Why doesn't it stop immediately? Why do several PAGES for it to stop? Come to think of it, I can't think of a time casual since I left high school (which uses Mac and Apple printers) when I have not tried to stop a print job to a printer that was not Hewlett-Packard (an HP printer from ""), so I'm not sure if it is exclusive to HP or not. Work used to stop printing almost immediately after order - Macintosh printing, or at least they did with printers ImageWriter and LaswerWriter Mac OS 6.0.8 - 9.1.
This is not the case with Windows 95 - Windows 7.

I used to assume it had something to do with the buffer memory of the printer, but a recent incident involving someone accidentally unplugging the computer when the printer was on changed this long assumption based on my experience when I bought a buffer for my printer ImageWriter II return to 1989 or 1990. Printing stopped almost immediately after the computer that it was connected to the lost power (he tried to disconnect a faulty device so that it could be shipped to the manufacturer and pulled the wrong plug).

This phenomenon embarrassing occurs on several different computers, printers and configurations. School computer laboratories on the areas of small business workgroups to systems of the House with the directly connected printer.

    Hi, SlickRCBD,

The memory has a lot to do with why this does not block when cancelled.  There may be an older doc who is was filed here.  Unplug the printer from the computer periodically.  Leave that he unplugged for several minutes (5 max), then reconnect.  Remove the cables that connect to the back of the printer for the same amount of time.  This clears the memory.

    Open elevated command prompt

    Enter Net Stop Spooler

    Wait message spooler stopped

    Go to your windows\system32\spool\PRINTERS\ folder

Search for files ending with. SPL and. SHD created around the time that you were trying to print - delete these files.

Return to the command prompt window

    Type Net Start Spooler

You will see message spooler has begun

    Output

Sometimes the files are hungup.  The above gets rid of them.
