  There is a parallel port for printers on the motherboard, but there is no floppy drive connector.

  Please confirm it also works for the 6005.  If I replace it, can I actually remove the Radeon 4200 and replace it directly at the space of the same card mother slot to save space of PCI Expansion slot, or do I use the expansion PCI Express 16 x slot?   If so, is the procedure for the direct replacement documented anywhere?

  The ATI Radeon HD 4200 Video on your PC is the graphics chip integrated according to page 14 of the quickspecs at the link below. In other words, the graphics card is a chip that is soldered to the motherboard.  It is not in an expansion slot.

  The dedicated PCI express x 16 slot should be empty now, and this is where you install the card I have recommended.

  I don't see why the HD 6450 work.  It works in the dc7800, dc7900, Pro 6000, 6200 pro, 8000 Elite, Elite 8100 and 8200 Elite business desktop PC.

  You just need to make sure that uninstall you the HD 4200 graphics card and the driver in Device Manager.  Also check the uninstalling the driver box.

  Also uninstall catalyst control center software in the Add/Remove programs in the control panel section, stop and disconnect the PC, install your new video card and the driver for the 6450.

  But the keys to Windows 7 should work for Windows 7 Pro?

  Compare the specifications of the two models, it seems that the only thing you can use the hard drive, what said you was not good, so it does not work.

  The 6005 Pro uses different memory (DDR3) and 531's DDR2, which does not in a DDR3 slot.

  The 6005 uses another set of AMD processors and that of your 531 s will not work in the 6005 Pro.

  I just order over-pants graphic card recommended for my Compaq 6005 Pro.  The intention is to add a higher resolution monitor. I currently run two monitors and want to know if the system can cope with an "extra" card or I need to remove the card provided with the system and have and two monitors.

  The icons that appear on your desktop are removed from the Cache icon.  It is possible that your icon cache is fragmented or does any resulting all icons must be fired from their original location (which takes much more time).  You can try to reset/rebuild your icon Cache.  It is not hard to do, and to do this, the instructions are in this article:

Have you tried several drivers likely to search in the pages of downloads HP - expansion on another machine and copy the folder of "swsetup" on a USB key and navigation on the offending machine - with the BIOS set to AHCI, Legacy IDE, Native Mode IDE and RAID in turn, but no joy. Is there another place I can get a storage controller driver that will work? Or is there anywhere I can download the installation of custom OEM Win7 HP media which is suitable for this model of PC?

  Hello:

  If you have the installation media yourself (to download the ISO of W7), which is normally due to a bad burn to DVD or you didn't get the entire file to download even though it said full.

  Check the download file size you actually, vs, which is on the download site.

  Your PC didn't need special drivers to install W7 - DVD, AHCI or otherwise.

• Cannot remove a menu column of my Windows XP Pro desktop display

  Wide blue stripe on the left side of the office. Nothing happens when I right click on it. Panel display did not help either. Also unloaded the NVidia drivers-all without success. Tape contains selections from menu to 'FolderTasks', 'Other locations', and details. Appeared after doing some updates to the pilot, but don't remember those who with the exception of NVidia.

  Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
