  • Network scanning multi-page Officejet Pro 8500 a w/o ADF (Vista and HP Print software)

Without using the ADF on the 8500 has, can I scan multiple pages in a PDF file if the scans are done from the PC? How?

My version of Vista is 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2 Build 6002.

My HP Officejet Pro 8500 has e-all-in-one printer - A910a is the standard model, for example, the premium product of mid-range. It is connected by LAN cable. It scans, prints and can provide the status of ink level.

The 8500 is connected via the network, and on a Vista PC, I use a desktop icon to launch "HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910.exe". The new software is very different from the [Photosmart c6150 dead] [uninstalled] old HP Solution Center, and I looked in the new textbooks at least briefly, so I hope someone can same thing me some time with a basic question/issues scan. My research forum has failed, but if someone has a link to a relevant thread, that would be appreciated.

Without using the ADF on the 8500 has, can I scan multiple pages in a PDF file if the scans are done from the PC? How?

I also tried scanning browser based and there is a drop down for sweeping on both sides, but the drop down menu is not activated and cannot be used.

I only went through the configuration of the network folder, which may be necessary to get the ability I want. On this subject, I wonder if I set up a folder for all users, or just for my login.

    Thanks for any help!

    Success?

Well, I created a folder network and was then able to scan to a PDF file of several page without using the ADF (ADF) documents.  To do this, (1) install the software provided with the Officeject Pro 8500 has, (2) the installation program a network folderand (3) run the scan of the touch screen located on the Officejet Pro 8500 has.

    (1) install the software supplied on CD (or probably downloaded from somewhere near here). You may be able to work with only the web browser interface, but I wasn't before install the software provided on the CD, and I suspect that some software is required on the PC.

Install the downloaded software or the software provided on the CD-ROM titled

    HP OFFICEJET PRO 8500

    A910

    (2) Setup a network folder. The installation of the software created a few new icons on my Vista PC.  Double-click the icon of the desktop titled "HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910". On my Vista PC, it runs,

    "C:\Program HP HP Officejet Pro 8500 Officejet Pro 8500 A910.exe A910\Bin\HP"

An application window should appear. Mine has a title, "HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910 (network).

The application window has a section of Scanner Applications on the left. From there, the scanner to the network folder Wizard. Which can be done by double clicking on the 'scan to network folder Wizard"or by the first double clicking on"Scanner Actions"and on the screen that appears, click on"Scan to network folder Wizard.  Otherwise, you can get this done through the web browser, if you know the URL for your device's built-in web server. Because I use my DHCP router (to allocate IP addresses in my local network), I currently access the 8500 a of http://192.168.1.19/. From there on, I can access the Scan tab, and I can access the ability to "Setting up the network folder" on the left.

Using the scan to network folder Wizard, I clicked on New and used the Browse button to select "C:\Users\Gordon\Documents\My Scans" to set up a folder named "Gandalf Gordon". The next page of the wizard, it will take your network password (or local password if he is counting on the local PC) required to access the PC where the path "C:\". "sailed above is located. When I clicked on finish, the wizard opens a web browser which indicated a certificate error. I chose to continue to the site, which turns out to be the web server integrated in the 8500 has. So now you know a URL where your built-in web server on your network if you were already uncertain. If you do this URL a favorite browser, the favorite should work even if the IP address of the 8500 a is changed in the future.

Display (3) initiated a sweep of the touchscreen located on the Officejet Pro 8500 a. tap the icon "Scan." Tap the 'network '. Select the network folder. Place a page to scan on the glass of the scanner without using the automatic document feeder. Press 'Start Scan '. When the touch screen prompts, "Page another Scan", select 'Yes', place another page on the scanner glass and click, 'Start scan '. When the last page is analyzed, answer 'No' to the prompt "scan another Page.

Note: When loading pages additional manually, you have to work a little faster or unit will then expire and close the file with as many pages that you managed to scan. I did three pages as a test.

If there's a better solution out there, please share!

This optios (documents several pages in a single file) is also available on IOS7 IMac?

It just put a page on the glass, click Scan on your Mac, then when it is done the next page on the end and click Scan.

When you are finished, go to where you have already told him to put the file and you should find the file with all of the pages in it.

BUT, you should be scanning to PDF as the Format type and have next to the checked "combine in a single document" or it won't work.

  • Multi-page scan to e-mail/network folder on dish (Color LaserJet MFP Pro 476dw)

For scanning for send/network folder flat, sweeping setting failed to single page.  There is no option to set the scan multi-page either on the MFP or embedded web server page.  Any suggestions?  There will be a patch/update software?  Thank you.

You can scan multiple pages of a scan from the tray by choosing settings first.

The icon Touch scan-> scan-to - network-> choose the folder-> Touch 'Settings' which is at the bottom left of this window.

At this point, you can change the file type, resolution, scan source, etc.

Click 'Scan Source'-> 'flat' touch-> Touch "several pages".

Then, you just press scan after the loading of your pages on the flat.  Good luck.

  • F2240 scan using XP

I have problems of scanning multi-page documents. The scanner seems to work very well, but when it downloads the documents scanned to a file, only the first page is contained in the file. I know there is a problem of software in that regard, but this is specifically where?

Do I need to HP Solution Center 13.0 make use of the fix?

If Yes, where can I download 13.0?

PDF. is not available in a format in the scanner software. I had been to using Adobe .pdf .tif conversion. The types of available in the scanning software files are .bmp, .tif, .jpg, .png, PCX, .fpx.

I used .jpg and it worked. All pages came through. That's a lot of time and effort because of a shade that I would not have been aware.

  • MB2320 - scanning documents of several pages and registration as a single PDF page consecutive

I just bought and set up a MB2320 Maxify to replace my PIXMA MX892, who was a victim of the dreaded "Incorrect print head - U062 error." My only disappointment so far is the quick replacement of "MP Navigator" with "Canon Toolbox" and analysis of the unavailability of the ADF front side. My problem: I looked for instructions, tried the "Document", "Custom" and "ScanGear" utility and can not figure out how to scan multi-page documents, to have the scanned images appear in one place where they can be placed in sequential order and save the mess in a single PDF file which can filed and saved to a folder designated by me. I would appreciate a tutorial step by step on how to do it. Thanks in advance.

    Hello.

Please try the following setting to scan PDF of Multi-paged files with the device:

    1. open the utility of IJ scanning from your desktop or the list of Canon Utilities of the Start Menu (Windows) or Applications (Mac) folder.

    2. click on settings.

    3. on the left, click on the tab "analytical paper".

    4. in the "Save Settings" section, click on the button "settings".

    5. change the Format option to "" PDF "(plusieurs Pages), and then click OK."

    6. click OK at the bottom of the settings menu.

Once this has been done, click the button of "Document" in the IJ Scan Utility to start to analyze the PDF file.

  • Scanning Photosmart 5515 software problem

How can I scan a document to multiple pages in a SINGLE PDF rather than many separate pdf pages. It seems to be on option in the scan multi software and its irritation of having to scan each page and then attach multi pages to emails to transmit the content.

I used to be able to do that on my last printer Cannon - this seems a bit poor software if I can't do it again.

    Hello

You are able to scan a multi-page PDF document:

If you want to scan a document with several pages in a single file instead of several files, start the analysis with the software of the printer instead of select Scan from the control panel:

    1. Click the HP Photosmart 5515 from the desktop icon.
    2. Click on scan a photo or Document.
    3. Select the Document to shortcut file (the PDF icon).
    4. Click on scan.
    5. Use the Plus icon to add pages.

If still separated scanned pages, follow steps 1-3, and then click Advanced settings.

Make sure that the option to create separate pages is not checked.

    Kind regards

How to scan multiple pages into one PDF document?

    Hey coolmanoh,

There is a document containing information on how to perform analysis with the Officejet 4620.  The document explains how to scan multi-page documents into a single file.  As sabretooth04 said, the HP scanning software should have a + box to add additional pages in the scanned document.

Please take a look at the document and let me know if it is able to achieve the desired result.  The document can be found by clicking here.

  • 4630 scan fullscreen

I got here somehow do the 4630e scanning interface full screen?  I can't read what has been analyzed.  Or can I use the 4500 software to control the 4630 scans. I like the interface better.

Thanks for your reply.  I accept this as a solution.  However, my problem cannot be solved.  I want to scan multi page document and purge unwanted pages before saving to save disk space.  I'll live with it for now, but will be more careful on my next purchase.

  • Not available TWAIN and multi page unavailable

I have a scanner fujitsu fi6150 can I connect to Remote Scan using the WIA driver but not TWAIN driver. Not necessarily a big deal, but I don't have the ability to select several pages under WIA. The only way I can get around this must apply multi pages.

    My questions are:
    (1) why not TWAIN be available when the TWAIN driver is loaded.
Why 2) is the disabled multi page option and how can I get around this? Is there an INI setting that I can change?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Usually if RemoteScan is unable to 'see' a TWAIN driver locally, it's because the TWAIN driver has not been installed or does not work, you can always test it locally in a compatible scanning TWAIN as a Microsoft Office application. You want to speak to problems with the scanner driver Fujitsu himself.

RemoteScan inherit the functionality of the scanner driver that is used, you will want to check the WIA driver locally (by running a scan in Microsoft PAINT, which is only compatible WIA) to ensure that it with not problems with MultiPage scans. If you are able to do scans multi-page locally with this driver and are having problems with RemoteScan for some reason, you want to call our support team at the 406-721-0276.

  • How to scan documents several pages into .pdf using Microsoft Fax and Scan in Windows 7 64 bit

I need to scan documents from several pages to .pdf files in a user's preferred directory.  I have a HP Color Laserjet 2840 Director HP Windows XP to scan documents to .pdf files. I had to move the printer/scanner on a 64-bit Windows 7 computer.  No HP Director or the HP Solution Center is supported for this printer under Windows 7 and HP Internet site recommends the use of Windows Fax and Scan.  Fax and scanning does not support scanning into .pdf analyses or several pages in any format except TIFF.  It also only allows files to be redirected to network folders and is not a browse button to select a location.  Short buying Adobe Acrobat and using a 2-step process of digitization in TIFF format and then print the TIFF to PDF file. does anyone have any suggestions?

I discovered thanks to a thread on this issue that Windows 7 does not come with the ability to scan multi-page documents, although versions previous to Windows.  I read that it takes download program Microsoft Office Document Imaging (MODI) Microsoft to scan multi-page documents.  What a pain!
