  I have install the photosmart 5520 with the hp driver and software on my macbook. I install everything first as a usb printer, so I can print and scan too. But when I try to install it for use with Wi - Fi, I can print only! Preferences of prints, on the wireless, 5520 appears only printing options and not the scan tab too. I do the update, I try to uninstall and reinstall the impression and the hp software, but nothing. How can I solve this problem?

  You can get into the router configuration? If so, please make sure that Hello (or mDNS) is enabled.  It is a general router configuration and will not be in the zone menus router wireless.

  There is a problem by uninstalling the HP Photsmart Premium C309A printer software. The software of the "Solution Center" was left, and I can't find it on my PC.  "Printing HP and scan doctor" gave me this information.

  So I tried to reinstall the software again, but without success! The printer is offline and no longer works.

  I have Windows 7 64 bit and a HP Photosmart 5515.

  I had to reformat my PC, and when I tried to install the printer, Windows Update has acknowledged, but cannot find the necessary drivers, while the HP software has not found the printer or with the IP address or the host name.

  The printer is connected to the network and works perfectly (we are able to print on my wife's computer), but on mine, it is not possible to connect.

  I reently had my computer wiped and reloaded. Windows 7 operating system. My original software for my printer was busy on the computer but now the drive will not charge say operating system must be XP or vista. Why he loaded on the original installation, but not now is confusing to me.  I am able to use my printer because the drivers downloaded when I plugged it in BUT will be a part of the software that I used regularly (HP Solution Center) won't load and I'm unable to locate anywhere on the site of HP, how to recover this program. Can anyone help me get this program (or similar) return?   I see that you use in the software problems.  I would like to help!

  I would say uninstalling the software of the printer.

  Once it is uninstalled, I suggest you put your system in clean boot mode in the configuration of Microsoft.  You can do this by following this document: How to perform a clean boot in Windows.

  Once the computer is in clean boot mode, I would suggest to reinstall the HP printer install wizard for Windows.

• Cannot install the driver HP Photosmart C6180 and software problems-, yet get HP-related crashes

  I had a lot of crashes with my main PC, a number related to HP, including at startup ("your computer has recovered from a serious problem") and close (the HP software responds only to not close).  I reformatted the system, reloaded Win XP Pro disk and all updates.  I couldn't reinstall the HP drivers and other software from my CD or after you download from the HP site.  The stalls of process at an early stage (only in step 2), sometimes blocks your PC when it does.

  The last time, I filled the experience HP online questionnaire and noted that I thought I had a generic problem rather than related to HP.  However, checking details on the Microsoft error report, I discovered that after the start I regularly get the message:

  HP Installer Recovery plug has encountered a problem and needs to close

  Download of HP is about 76 Mb.  I have on my C drive (System) of a program file HP/Temp with 7 Mb and on the E partition where I wanted to install the drivers and other software a program file HP / Digital Imaging, 30 MB.  Both are dated yesterday, when I finally tried to install from a download.  The HP printer is not displayed under the control panel of configuration/printers, or the Add Printer Wizard can recognize it on the network.  (I have not tried to disconnect the router and connect directly to the PC, but that shouldn't matter to software problems, should it?)

  Any advice would be welcome.

  Thank you once again, Dexter - it was a Microsoft problem rather than a problem of HP, I finally found and installed the right fix MS and just installed the HP software - to be on the safe side, I only did the essentials of basic printing and left the other stuff for later.  And I'll report this "resolved" if I can find the button after validation!

• Photosmart 5515 appearing as a regular printer and the other grayed printer under windows 7.

  I have windows 7 32-bit, with 500 GB disk and 4 GB of ram.   I went through several iterations recover my usb drivers and working properly. The last problem seems to be with the printer driver. I have just turned the printer off, removed the two printers from the list of devices and printers, and back in the printer market. The drivers once again and the printer "shadow" is back.

  I tried printing HP and doctor scan, and it is a photosmart 5515 says he was not installed. And there does appear to be a way to remove it from its list of HP devices.

  I don't know what to do next. I used windows xp for years and I'm quite familiar with it, but I'm still learning on windows 7, so I don't know what would be my next step in this process of elimination of the printer "shadow" disappear for good.

  Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support.  I see that you are unable to install web services on your printer Photosmart 5515.

  When you try to set the DNS servers to Google Public DNS servers, so you set a static IP address first?    If this isn't the case, please set an IP address manually before the configuration of DNS servers manually.

  I'm still looking into your problem and appreciate your patience. You can check that Windows is up-to-date including the optional updates.

  You have to manually go in and change some registry permissions. If you are not comfortable with these changes you can ask for help. As always, when playing with the registry you need to do a backup and you can also back up important files. Back up the registry

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\

  Is the path that you should look into. You should notice \S-1-5-18\Components. Inside components, you should be able to locate the key you specified.

  Try to go in the tools on the printer and to restore the default settings of the network.  He's going to knock it out of the network briefly but then set it back up as if it were the first time.  You meet intellectual property conflicts, and it is a first step in troubleshooting.  It can change the IP address of the original one, as well, but that is not a bad thing.  Let me know how it goes.
