HP all-in-one d110a: scanning

I've never been able to scan to computer on my HP d110a all-in-one printer.  I went through the instructions on your page to support many times - including uninstalling and reinstalling the software on your Web site.  I used the normally and scan doctor - it keeps telling me that it cannot determine the problem.  Any ideas?

Hello there @gmom68!

Thanks for posting on the HP Forums!

I should be able to lend a hand with the scan of the computer.  How your printer is connected to the computer?  Is the printer connected wireless or USB.  If the printer is connected wireless, try plugging the USB just to see if it can be interpreted in this way.  You can also test scan using Microsoft Paint.  Just open the Paint on the computer, press the file icon in the upper left corner of the window and press "of the scanner or digital camera.  Select your scanner and see if it works.

If the printer is connected wireless then the analysis part could be blocked by a firewall in the Windows operating system.  I recommend to download HP Print and Scan Doctor again.  With printing and scanning doctor, you can temporarily disable the firewall that may block the printer from the computer. If the printer is found, you need to turn your firewall on back to make sure that your computer is blocked.

To download the print and the doctor Scan click here: print and Scan Doctor

To temporarily turn off the firewall:

  1. Download and open the Print and Scan Doctor
  2. Click on 'Network' at the top of the window
  3. Click on 'firewall troubleshooting. "
  4. Select the firewall and disable

Launch the software HP again to see if the printer is located.  If the printer is not found, then you want to communicate with your provider of firewall while allowing access to the printer to the computer.

To turn on the firewall:

  1. Open the print and Scan Doctor
  2. Click on 'Network' at the top of the window
  3. Click on 'firewall troubleshooting. "
  4. Select the firewall and select

If please, after back and let me know how it goes!

I understand that when you print from your Windows 8.1 computer to your HP Photosmart e-all-in-one printer D110a print jobs are coming in white. I would like to help you today with this printing problem. When you print from your computer, some files are sent to your printer as "image" files If your printer 'think' it prints an image, color ink may be used to enrich or to 'do' the dark. This can be misleading because your machine can really be confronted a black ink, problem of print, but you may think that your machine works great as always black appears in print. While in reality, it's just the ink to mix color to black. Therefore, at the beginning troubleshooting I'll have print you a standalone report diagnosis on the quality of your printer. This report will help us determine if this printing of the blank page problem is caused by your printers ink system or your computer. Can I please you follow the steps below.

How to print a report of quality diagnostic:

    1. Load plain white paper in the input tray.
    2. Tap the button of the ATM () next to the icon of configuration () in the lower left corner of the control panel.
    3. Press arrow right () and select Tools, and then tap OK.
    4. Press arrow right () to select Print Quality Report, then tap OK. The printer prints the report.

    • If this report prints perfectly: Only the blank page printing problem isn't be caused by your printer. • HP5643: HP 5643 All in One - how scan you multiple pages

I can scan my wireless printer unique pages, but for the life of me I can't understand how to scan multiple pages.   I read the other posts on other threads on by clicking on the sign (+) sign to the left of the display after scanning one page, but I don't have a (+) sign to click on.  Someone has this model of printer, that can help me?    Thanks in advance for your help.

In addition, any way to speed up the scanning process?     My old printer could easily scan a 10 page document in time, that it takes to scan a single page.

    @TXXpress

Assuming for now your printer to provide the "Document Scan" and the little "+" feature, you don't have to have the "Preview Scan" selected.

    See:

    Scan_Multiple_Documents-combined

If all else fails, you can try to use a different program to scan multiple pages into a single document.

    Options of the digitization program

I don't have the same printer model - I can't comment properly on scan "slow".

    • In general, the printers to "do a bit of everything" cheaper still not 'all' as well as more expensive printers, a full service.

Other things that could cause a "slower than ideal: sweep

    • Wireless, if they are available and used to connect the printer, may cause slow response - which can be attributed to anything between a bad router and a bad signal for a slow wireless card in the printer or the computer.  The answer "slower than snail" may be caused by the network is too busy with other wireless / network diagram.

Finally, the "so slow I want to die" may be caused by the printing software - programs sometimes even 'good' can develop problems just hanging out on the computer for awhile.  You can remove the program from the printer and then replace it with a new copy of the software service Support full page for the Web site of your printer.
