  I recommend that stick you with the video cards listed as supported for your Elite SFF-8200.

  240W power supply does not manage much more.

  Supported video cards are listed on the link below on page 14.

  If you would rather try another map those listed that would work with your P/S, then it may or may not work.

  I bought this Radeon R9 380 4 GB from Ebay and installed it in my computer, but it won't work. Turn fans of the graphics card but the PC screen remains black. I contacted the seller who said that the video card has been tested prior to shipment and that it may be a compatibility issue with my PC. I know that this graphics card has a PCI Express 3.0 interface 16 x so that my PC has a PCI Express 2.0, but I don't think that this could be a problem.

  Do you know if there is a problem of compatibility between the graphics card XFX Radeon R9 380 4 GB of GDDR5 memory and the HP Pavilion p7 - 127C?

  @Astyx, welcome to the forum.

  You are right that the PCIe 3.0 is backward compatible with PCIe 2.0.  However, your problem is the motherboard.  The Radeon card requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a Legacy BIOS. The BIOS may not be walking in the UEFI.  PCIe 3.0 cards requiring UEFI will not work in any other location.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  The latest maps to exploit without UEFI are the GTX 660/670.

  You can't replace the graphics card in a notebook.

  I would recommend that you:

  1 update system BIOS
  2 uninstall + delete (video) graphics in the Windows Device Manager drivers.
  3. restart your computer and then download and install the latest graphics driver from HP.com, not anywhere else.
  4 test the game, make sure that you start with the lowest graphics settings available and go up from there.

• Dc7900: Graphics PCI - E card - black screen

  I just installed a Sapphire HD6450 in the PCI express port of my DC7900.

  You want to be able to use an HDMI port to connect to my TV.

  Whenever I try to install it will show a black screen (it starts up but nothing appears). It happens in a PCI-E port.

  As soon as I remove it, the computer works fine again.

  Have you tried to check the BIOS to see if I need to disable the onboard graphics, but there is no setting in there to turn off.

  Checked under Advanced / Device Options and not here. Check out the other menu items but can't seem to see anything.

  Well, I thought about it. While I had ordered another HD6450 (which is the same card in my living room computer), a new one was a Sapphire card vs an Asus card in my living room computer.

  Of course, he had more power that the DC7900 and DC7800 could provide with their 240W PSU, however the Asus we had no problem. Crazy!

  In any case, to put the new card in my desktop (500W PSU) and it worked fine, then took the HD5450 (Sapphire) who was there and put it in my new DC7900. Sorted!

  Of course the same maps from different suppliers have different power requirements. (Or there was some other conflicts).

  I bought HP Pavilion 17 e121eo and there no dedicated graphics card, showing in a bios or Device Manager.

  1. I tried updating to the latest version of the bios: nothing has changed.

  2 downloaded all the drivers from hp for the graphics card support page: nothing has changed.

  3 restore the system at the factory, using hp recovery: nothing.

  4 changed for maximum performance in the Catalyst center and windows power settings 8.

  I tried to play a few games to test too, but as it seems, to use only 7640g, most of the games work best on laptop 3 years older.

  I'm starting to believe there is a typing error in the product detail page and Infact that this laptop has only the integrated chip of piss poor 7640g running.

  All advice?

  Turns out that my laptop had badly listed card, my laptop didn't 7640g. No double graphics either.

  Returned to my laptop and got a refund.

  I just bought an alienware13 with an amplifier of graphics. And I have a GTX970 installed in the amplifier of graphics. After I start my alienware, everything seems to work fine, the graphics amplifier power light is the video card fan is running. You have an alternative in a plugin called "Topaz" Impression that requires no OpenCL, it is faster than the oil paint filter and gives superior results - which begs the question, why Adobe insisted on OpenCL implementation in the latest Photoshop for me?   Looks like the processor the faster, you can install processor Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 (page 10).

  The options show up to a 500 GB HARD drive. Nothing more than that, you're on your own (page 16).

  Graphics cards options found on page 20. Note the power supply for the dc7900 SFF is just 240W.

  I need help and am stumped.

  I just upgraded my HP Pavilion s3600t of a cracked fan Nvidia 9300GE graphics card 256 MB with a 9500GS graphics card 512 MB. Every thing went stellar including my 3.9 to 5.3 Windows experience index. Not a single problem until I slid the HP Pocket Media Drive in its base. For some reason it isn't recognized not even a green light. When I use the USB cord, it's perfect, Pocket Drive is recognizable and works perfectly. This update of the hardrive graphics card means it won't work anymore the internal section and I cannot use the connection of the USB cable or is there another driver, I need or is it a subtle compatibility on this upgrade problem?

  You could hit a loose cable, install the video card. Open the PC and look at the back of the Pocket reader. The cable is connected?  Check the cable at both ends to ensure that it is connected.  One end of the connection should go to the motherboard.  Make sure it is correctly positioned.

  Update (November 14, 2011): there is a happy ending at the bottom of this thread. In a Word, I needed to upgrade my 700W power and install a ~ XFX HD 6870 (AMD/ATI) $ 200 video card, connect 2 monitors to 6870's connectors 2 mini DisplayPort and connect the other 2 monitors to 6870's DVI connectors.

  In the original post, I went to get a second GTS 250 but I was able to do it with a single card.

  Because I'm a spread for the penalty, I went ahead and ordered the XFX HD 6870 and returned the XFX HD 6850.

  Only after you have installed the 6870 I realized this video card requires 2 PCI express power connectors. Of course, my stock PSU only has a PCI express slot so I went down to Staples and bought a power supply 700W (a RetailPlus PS700W). I installed myself (without the help of a technician that I had seen what the technician had to do when I hired one to try to replace the stock power supply with a Corsair 750W) and it worked. It was last Thursday and the machine works since then.

  The 3 HP ZR24w monitors I ordered came with a regular DisplayPort cable but I needed 2 Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable. I have ordered them to my place of local parts (OEM Express) and they came today.

  I plugged praying them, and then they played.

  So to get 4 monitors running a single card, I had to put my diet to 700 watts, install a XFX HD 6870 (it's a Radeon ATI/AMD with 2 x connectors DVI, an HDMI connector and mini 2 DisplayPort connectors) and order 3 HP ZR24w monitors. 2 monitors should be connected via the adapter mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort Cables and the other 2 are connected via DVI.

  From what I can tell, HD 68 x series video cards can drive only 2 DVI monitors at a time and if you need at least 2 aswell able DisplayPort monitors.

  I think I already know the answer to this & it has been asked before by others with no positive response but thought I would just try again.

  Is there somewhere hidden the ability to visualize the layout of type table of the network you use to make just under windows 7
  In Windows 7, you could see under center network & sharing of information of the network, and then click on "View network adapters" or similar
  and he gave an overview of your devices, routers, etc.
  Windows 8 happened, even basic information seems devoid, now nothing private, Public, work etc (I guess it's somehere but don't have no need, so don't go looking) but seems just poor.
  In any case, this feature was very helpful, especially as I often put my network to the top, change routers, equipment etc. and when you add a new router if it is not set to auto DHCP (which I always turn off because they are always an access point) you can not see what the IP of the router is usually on a range of ip addresses different and often not standard. Sounds like a rarely used feature, but I often need this, especially the factory resets etc.
  Why on earth would remove this feature!
  I'm so sick of 'new improved' software/hardware taking features which were so useful and adding things that are unnecessary. You thought you could do in a few minutes & always things could suddenly take a lot longer, that's progress for you
