HP Deskjet 3050 unable connect via Wi - Fi connection.

Recently, I had the hard drive replaced on my laptop, I went to download all the drivers for the printer just fine, but when you try to connect the printer to the laptop using the wireless setting I had no chance. I followed all the installation of HP solutions help out with no chance and checked all firewalls with still nothing. I don't have a cable to connect the printer to the wireless laptop is my only option.

Did you run the print program HP and doctor Scan?

  • HP Deskjet 3050 - unable to connect to the WPA secure wireless network

    Hello

My first post here so please excuse any misstep on my part.  I bought this HP Deskjet 3050 a week ago and have since been war with it.  I would be really grateful if someone could possibly give advice on how I can solve this problem.

I am unable to connect the printer to my secure wireless network, even if the other computers, cell phones, etc. are connected without problem.  I tried WPA, WPA2 and WPA2-Mixed modes with the same failure security. Specifically, the 66% reached Connection Wizard, then displays the error that the wizard can not find/network printer.  If I disable the security, the printer connects very well.

I use a Linksys WRVS4400N router with firewall and associated firewall disabled settings.  The router broadcasts on 802. 11 g / N mixed mode.

I install the software provided on the CD for installation on a Windows XP SP3 System.  I confirmed that the PC and the printer are connected to the network are the same.

The issue as well, if you will allow me: I have not yet tried these drivers, but I see there are any updated drivers for the printer in date from 14/12/2010.  The release notes indicate the improvement of networks, but do not develop beyond that.  Does anyone know if there was a known problem with the connection to secure networks that has now been corrected?

Finally, just a note that I am partially blind and using a screen on all systems reader.  I'll try my best to be as helpful as I can to please forgive me if I can't find the settings, etc. on screen and sometimes need help for a little more detail.

Thanks in advance for your help, I really enjoyed.

    Have a nice day,

All the best for now and take care,

    Hussein.

It is not the fact that it is impossible, is the fact that this was not done, yet.

    Hello

first of all, my apologies for the delay getting back to you.  Poor health means that I had little time or want to do great thing on the side of the computer of htings.

In any case, I am please to say the problem with the HP 3050 failing to connect to my network is now resolved.  There seems to be a bug with the installer, and that seems to include the version the most recent publication Dec 2010.

To resolve this problem, I did the following:
    1. disable all security for the network options, so it's just an open network.
    2. connect the HP 3050 to the network by using the installation wizard. This time it connected OK for me.
    3. Locate the IP address of the printer.  I used the table of customer list accessed by my router interface. You may be able to get this through the printer on the menu screen, but as I am partially blind, it wasn't an option for me.
    4. Enter the control panel of the printer to http://ip.address.of.printer for example http://192.168.2.108
    5. under Advanced options, configure the network settings, including the password and the Security Protocol.  Don't forget to enter the SSID of the network exactly as it is configured on the router.
    6. apply settings, disconnect from the control panel of the printer.
7 log in the router configuration panel and re-apply the security options.  Make sure they match these match those entered for the printer.

I hope it will be useful to others in the same position.

    Thanks again for your time.

    Best,

    H.

  • DeskJet 3050 is connected wireless but does not actually print

    Hello
    I have a Deskjet 3050 All in One Printer - j610a and I run on Mac OS x 10.9.

I did a software update and have managed to connect the printer to my wireless network. I know that for some of my wireless network from your report print on which not only says I'm fully connected to my network, but also that I have no problem found on my connection.

I know that my computer is connected to the same network and I added my printer to the printer list.

    Problem:

When I go to print something from my Mac, I select my Deskjet and click on print. In fact, he says it's printing and it has printed, but nothing is in fact!

I get no error message and what I'm looking for in says me I'm connected.

Just nothing really going to except what I can print directly from the printer to the diagnostic reports.

This printer used to work perfectly, but then I moved and had to put in place all over again and now what's happening!

    Help!

I do not know how to show that this has been resolved, but somehow, it fixed itself after that I just let a little rest and then added the printer to my computer.

  • Light series, blue J611 HP Deskjet 3050 has connectivity still flashing

Run the HP software for your printer - find the software and configuration of printing.  It will allow you to add your printer to your wireless network.  You will use a temporary USB cable to connect the network settings on your printer.

  • HP Deskjet 3050 j610a scan error

About a week ago my HP Deskjet 3050 multifunction j610a worked very well. However, sudden occurred a parsing error that can't be solved. Whenever I scan any document, the result is a totally black image with a lot of very thin vertical stripes on it. Changes color bands according to the type of analysis that I chose, they are white for the black and white scans or have several colors for the colored scans. Even without any document on the scanner, the analytical result is the same.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled the software supplied with the device and did the same with the downloaded software from the HP site, but none of them worked.

The Deskjet 3050 is connected to my PC (Windows 7 Professional 64-bit) via a wireless connection, but the problem also occurs when connected by USB cable.

PS 1: The HP print and scan doctor found no no problem.
PS 2: the print function of the unit works fine.

Thanks for the clarification, because the same question appear while copying there seems to be a hardware failure of the scanner and not related to the software.

Try following the steps below to solve such a failure, if the same continues contact HP technical support at the service of the unit:

  • Unable to connect wireless to Deskjet 3050 a

    I have a Pavilion dv6700 running Vista Business 64-bit (service pack 1) and has a J11b Deskjet 3050.

I am able to use the printer via a USB cable. However, I'm fighting for a wireless connection.

Please be patient with me as I don't know the first thing about connections or wireless networks. As far as I can tell, my laptop has a built-in wireless adapter (Broadcom 802 11b / g WLAN). The drivers are up to date.

I connect to the internet using a mobile usb modem Huawei broadband.

As well my broadband wireless and mobile connection is set to automatically detect IP and DNS server addresses. Previously, my wireless connection was IP and DNS addresses but this seemed to be causing a conflict with my connection broadband mobile (Windows displays a message to IP address conflict).

I set up a wireless ad-hoc network. In the list of network connections, there is a message "Waiting for users to connect.

In any case, I tried to convert my printer for a wireless connection, but my adhoc network (ChichiW) does not appear in the list of available networks. When I enter the SSID of the network is not found. Help, please. I'm at my wits end.

The Deskjet 3050 a J611 series printer does not support an ad-hoc connection to a computer.  I revise the manual for this printer and did not like an option available for wireless networks. I'm sorry.

You can see post for a little more information about this PrintDoc.

Previous versions, such as the Deskjet 3050 J610, has supported this feature from the computer to the printer and the printer to the computer.

The best option would be to use a wireless router to connect the printer to the computer.

    Hey @dbot,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I hope you enjoy your stay here.

I understand that you have some problems with the printer all-in-one Deskjet 3050 connection to your new router. I can help you with that.

First of all, we will restore the default values of network on the printer. To do:

Remove the USB cable to the back of the printer.

On the printer, press the wireless icon that looks like a radio tower.

Click on the white button next to settings.
Click on the white button next to default settings.

If there is a screen asking you to confirm, then press the white button next Yes. Blue wireless light should turn off.

Now on your PC we will uninstall all software associated with the printer.

Download and install the latest drivers by clicking on this link.

Once installation is complete, you should have the printer connected to your wireless network.

Please let me know if this solves your problem or if you have any other questions. If not, have a great weekend!

  • DeskJet 3050 connects to the router.

I use a new HP Deskjet 3050 J610 out of the box (comes with a laptop purchase student a few years ago and was never used) with a MacBook Pro with OS X 10.9.1.  I configured the printer via a USB port by following the instructions and it worked well because the driver is preloaded in the latest version of Apple, but when I try to connect to my Belkin router the printer times out.  I ran the diagnostic page and the SSID names do not match.  I can't find a way to change the SSID the printer connect manually.  There is no HP folder on my computer that would normally House the printer configuration information.  I've looked through all the documentation on HP and can't find anything that tells me how to enter the establishment.  Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Found the answer in an answer to a question on the HP Deskjet 3054.  Worked for my system, too, so I'm running.

  • HP deskjet 3050 j610: when I try to scan from my printer it will not connect

When I try to scan from my printer I get a message "Cannot find HP deskjet 3050 j610. But I can print from it and get data as ink tank printer. It started abruptly today. It worked OK until a few days ago.  The printer is connected by a USB cable. I tried the driver update and 'repair' menus via HP scanning problems without success.  If I press scan on the printer button it says "scan error. try to scan from computer', but that's what I usually do using the calculation icon in the menu START.

I solved the problem. The basic steps were (1) using the HP links to update my driver printer and research to find errors in the scanning program. (2) restart my computer and printer. After the first part, I didn't see any listed results. Normally I would have restarted the printer and the computer, but is afraid of losing my sites and the investigation, so I kept looking for the various comments.  I found a reference to this site in one of the post near mine for a #7520 device but cannot return immediately to give the author of the post. I think I sent him a response.

    http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00040499.

This site gives lots of tips for different situations and devices. I followed the advice that it applied to my computer and printer who ended with step 2 (I use a USB connection) and the scanner was working again.

  • Can I connect to the Deskjet 3050 wireless and LAN?

I have connected to a new deskjet 3050 by WiFi. My laptop and iPhone worked well. I have an old desk top that has no WiFi. Can I also connect it to the 3050 by LAN? The office is connected to the router by LAN so it mails to my hpeprint but I would like to connect it directly to the 3050.

    Hello

The HP Deskjet 3050 include wireless connectivity options and USB, the printer does not include any LAN interface...

The printer connected to your wireless router, connection from the desktop to the same router via an Ethernet connection is sufficient, the type of conntaction used network is not serious as long as both devices connected to the same router.

Make sure that ethernet cable connected to your router with a desktop computer and run the installation by selecting the wireless connection, the device should be detected on the network...

If you wanted to can use a USB for PC connection, you can do the same. the wireless and USB connection can be used simultanly.

  • DeskJet 3050 J610a - unexpected wireless connection problem.

    Running:

    10.7.4 MacOSX

    HP software: HP_Lion_Ink_SW_v12.13.17

Printers: Deskjet 3050 J610a worked perfectly via a wireless connection

MacBook5, 1 Intel Core 2 Duo, while I had been with HP Software HP_Installer_DJF4100_v9.7.1, which has been * no * intended for this printer, but I was able to "ADD" the printer Deskjet 3050 through preferences system, through the HP Socket,

[Recklessly] looking for a more "functional" configuration, I looked at HP support and found that a specific software was released for computers running "Lion".

So I uninstalled the previous DJF4100 software, restarted the computer and installed the new software and drivers for Lion as described above.

Now the printer Deskjet 3050 J610a appears in the network of the computer under "devices" as

"HPJ610a.047DED", Type: computer network computer. It is also detected with.

' Security: no ', while my Wi - Fi throughout the House network is encrypted with WPA/WPA2 Personal.

I could of course decline on the previous software and configuration, but before that I would like to understand why this new software, which was released by HP for Mac computers running Lion behaves in such a way, why does the printer as a standalone device (which she has never done it before).

As I said, before I regress to the previous configuration, using a software program that initially is not required by the printer or by the operating system, I greet all the information and suggestions.

    I need the wireless connection!

    Thanks in advance.

Okay, well, I think that a different router can only solve this problem dead.  Consider an Apple Airport Terminal.

If you connect your Mac on the network 'JPJ610a.047DED', this is a direct link between your Mac and printer wireless (not involving only the D-link).  So, naturally, you shouldn't be able to get on the Internet with this arrangement.a

When you run the HP software (Finder - go to Applications-> HP-> -> printer software installation &) it will allow you to connect your printer directly to your network with the temporary use of a USB cable.  He who does not?
