HP DeskJet F4210: Can I print wireless in a HP DeskJet F4210?

Hi people,

A friend recently gave me his HP DeskJet F4210 he no longer use. I have just set up and do works well when you are connected via USB to my Win10 x 64 laptop. However, I was wondering if I could have the printer connected to my router via the USB port and I shared with any device connected to my WiFi and avoid the wired connection.

I tried and have not been able to make it work. Can you please give me a hand with him or just confirm that it is impossible, which would make the printer almost worthless to me... So I have my fingers crossed that it works!

Thanks in advance for your time and help

  • HP Envy printer 4500: poor/no wifi connection - I can't print wireless

    Hello

I recently moved into the new home of the University, and the wifi reception is very low.

When I go to "Wireless Details" on my printer, it said no "detected" - I assume that given the weak wifi signal in my room, my printer just will not come back on any signal and so I won't be able to print wireless? If this is the case, is there not an option for me to print using a cable any?

However, when I go to "Wireless Setup Wizard", the my wifi SSD hard drive is launched as an option/is detected, but when I click on it to try to connect, it says ' unable to connect to the network. The type of authentication or encryption is not supported "."

I just want to be able to set up my wireless printing. If no reception is the issue, then how can I go about printing without having to use wifi?

Your school uses authentication Enterprise that do not support home printers. Yes, you can use a printer USB cable and connect to your computer very well. Like this one:

  • Can not print wireless Photosmart B110a MacBook Pro after switching to optical fiber.

I am currently using OS X 10.7.5. After the installation of optical fibres, using Huawei HG863 I can no longer print wireless from my MBP, iPhone and iPad.

I downloaded the HP v2.12 for OS X printer drivers and reset the settings of the printer, as recommended here and now my iDevices can not detect the printer at all. The printer works fine with other computers in the office.

Have you contacted both the provider network and Huawei support people, but both were unable to detect the problem. This could be a compatibility issue?

    Hello

All Appl edevices uses Apple Hello to communicate with the device through the netwrok, it seems that the router is not compatible Hello or do not have the protocol enabled by default.

You can work around this requirement by adding the pritner using Jetdirect, but it will only provide the functionality of the printer, Hello support is necessary to allow the scanning of your Mac.

To add the printer using a Jetdirect enter printing & scanning, click Plus the sign and enter the IP tab.

Set the Protocol as HP Jetdirect-Socket and type the IP address pritner.

The IP address can be located by entering the parameters from the front panel of the printer, and then enter the wireless settings.

For the router, don't forget to check its compatibility Hello, amy also be appointed as multicast or mDNS.

    Hope that helps,

    Shlomi

  • HP Laserjet P1102w: P1102w - change password and now I can't print wireless network

Recently, I changed the network password on our router Cisco Valet and without realizing it seemed to me making the wireless printing stop workinig.

I can always print to this printer via the USB cable, but it is not found on the wireless network.

I guess I have entered the time of info the first network I created this printer, but I don't remember how I did it.

Is there an easy way to reset the password that the printer uses, so we'll see on the wireless network?

Thanks in advance for any info on how to get this working again.

Replacement/change your wireless router try here.  Same thing to change your password...

However, if you have a gateway device, all devices in gateway (modem + router) are terrible for connectivity and wireless performance.   If this does not work, suggest you put this bridge in full bridge mode device and install your own router of high quality that YOU have full control over.

    Suggestions?

    Hi Devinnn,

Thanks for posting the question on the Microsoft Community Forums.

According to the description, it seems that you are facing a problem when accessing the printer wireless on your computer.

This problem may occur because of damaged or missing printer drivers

    ,

It would be great if you could answer these questions to help you more

    1. What is the make & model of the computer?
    2. Do you receive an error message or error code, while accessing the printer?
    3. What is the brand and model of the printer?
    4. Are you able to connect other devices outside the printer wireless?

I would suggest trying the following methods and check:

Method 1:   I suggest you ping IP address of the printer and check if you have found the answer for the same thing.

    Ping the wireless printer steps:

    • Windows key + X and select prompt (Admin)
    • In the command prompt window, type ping (IP address) and press on enter and check if packets are received.

    If the problem persists,

Method 2: Run the printer Troubleshooter and check.

    Open the printer Troubleshooter: http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/printer-problems-in-Windows-help#fix-printer-problems=Windows-8&V1H=win8tab1&V2H=win7tab1&V3H=winvistatab1&v4h=winxptab1

    Hello

I wonder why you post this question here in the forum of Toshiba. It seems that this forum has been developed to clear and resolve problems with Toshiba stuff.
However, to my knowledge the best way of would be the use of this wireless print server a for example:

Thank you dzanotti. Assuming you have a "HP Officejet 6600 e-all-in-one printer - H711a/H711g' is a specific document to: printer does not maintain the wireless connection.

  • Can you print wireless from an iPad 2 with a c8180? My ipad2 can't find the printer.?

I was wondering if anyone has figured how to connect their iphone/ipad to their C8180 to print via the wireless feature, is it possible?

    Thank you

    Hartie1

It is possible, but not with built-in AirPrint.  You can download a number of applications free printing, HP called iPrint, but their ability to print things in the system is limited (they do not print e-mails, Web pages, etc.).

  • OfficeJet 6500 E709N series ~ can't print wireless...

    TRIED EVERYTHING ~

That is: we have a Mac running OSx 10.5.7 and PC with Windows XP and a laptop with windows XP. Our wireless router is a wireless 3 G of Lnksis.

I bought the HPOJ 6500 e709n yesterday and adjusting upward all night.  Tried it on mac.

In the first way, I had everything hooked up. Ethernet cable to the router and usb to the printer. Implementation through all phases including Telec. Has been able to print correctly. I was never invited to disconnect the cables but instructions included state you need to test the wireless connection. I did and the printer did nothing. I reconnected the cable and was able to print what was in the QC. However not wireless I tried this several times.

Sense leads me to test the firewall rules and check out them. I added rules for UDP and TCP allow everyone from the URL given in the network config page I printed from the printer. I also added the mac address to the list of connected devices permits that I added as well access control. I tested several times and also added the printer using the url. After that I did everything that allows all ports to connect could afford to display supply levels for the ink and even print reports of wireless through the Manager printer diagnosis but cannot print documents... WEIRD.

I loaded each time with the right driver and did everything I can to enable on all ports. The only thing I can think of at this point is that we have a house system that apparently is running on here that I do not give. It really has nothing to do with it, but I changed the URL to begin to manage to 0.100 + that the rep wanted 1-100 used by system here for we are conducting to 192.168. 0,101...

    What should I do?

OK, there may be something else going on, but try this:

Remove the Ethernet and USB cables

Make sure that the radio is on (perhaps not hard to restart the router and printer, too)

Delete and add the printer on the default tab - one marked with Hello

Restart the computer and try to print.

  • I got a new modem and the router and now I can't print wireless.

I have a Photosmart 8450 printer.  My operating system is Windows7.  I tried to follow the Scan doctor, but I guess I'm not tech savy enough to understand.  It worked fine before the new modem and the router.  She is 'offline' and I can't understand how to put line.  Thanks for any help and easy enough for me to follow.

    Hello raedene715.

Thanks for the transcript, it was useful.

Please, check the network cables and connections (side of the printer and router). If possible, try a different network cable.

    See you soon!

  • I can't print wirelessly on HP Envy

I have a HP Envy 115, which will remain not connected to the network.  I've put it down to the printer being a bit old and grumpy, and bought a new 4500 want - and immediately I have the same problem - I turn on the printer, it connects to the network.  Wait five minutes, the printer is satisfied, it is still on the network, but if I try to print something - the system says that the printer is not found.

I have an iMac, my wife has a macbook pro, we have an iphone 4S and 5s, the modem iPhone is a surfboard Extereme 6121 SB, the router is a Linksys E2500first gen (firmware is version 2.0) and we have Linksys RE1000 range extender.  The router firewall is disabled, so now that I have no idea as to what is the cause of the problem.  I'm thinking of what I found so far, this is a setting in the router somewhere - I'm not tech savy enough to know where.

Any help to solve this problem will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

For anyone else who has this problem - move your RE1000 range Extenders.  I managed to move of mine that I always get covereage, but the printer is connected directly to the router.  Now, I have two fully functional printers...

  • print wireless HP Deskjet 6980 and Mac OS 10.6

I can't print wireless setup for my HP Deskjet 6980 in Mac OS 10.6,

I can't find any software update and do not have my original installation CD.

I scoured the help pages with absolutely no information for this specific problem.

OK, it's going to be difficult because the printer is very old and 10.6 technically impossible to set up a wireless connection for your printer.

With the printer plugged in USB, go to System Preferences > print & fax.  Click on the printer and then click «Options & supplies»

See if you can find the button "see the printer page.  I doubt you can, but we will try.  If this does not work, your only choices are to connect the Ethernet printer to your router or to solve your original problem of sharing USB or get a new printer.

Back to your original problem, fixing, share the printer make sure that printer sharing is enabled on two Macs (System Preferences > sharing).  Then, we will reset the printing on the Mac problem system:

    -Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
-Right (control) click inside the box that lists your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
-Select the sign + to add again. Search for the printer, select it, and wait until the button 'Add' becomes available. Until it clicks.
