HP Deskjet F4280 does not!

I just installed Windows Vista Home premium 64, I used Windows 7, which I stayed with but it's the RC, so I took a copy of windows vista 64 OEM. I installed my
drivers from the disc, thinking that the 32-bit would be compatible with the 64 bit did not work. Then I went to the website of hp & downloaded their drivers for vista 64 bit & they still do not work. All indicators are that everything is installed properly it does not print. I get when I try to print a page down on the taskbar no matter how many times I do it shows 0 documents pending every time. Occasionally, it will display 1 document & then almost immediately, 0. I moved the cable to each usb port on the computer, tried 4 different cables and still no luck. What is surprising, it is that it worked fine with Windows 7 64 bits & works great under Linux but does not work under vista 64. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, I tried hp online chat what a joke that was, they had tried me everything I had already tried & I didn't get them when they typed everything. I guess it is somewhere subcontracted outside the United States. Help please! I just need it works until I get my upgrade copy Windows 7.

As well as the 64-bit print drivers vista, have you also download the 3 critical updates for him as well.

    Hello Floadnar,

Have you tried with another Usb cable? DC said that "usb not recognized it. You should check also Device Manager for universal serial bus drivers. Finally, you can try to connect both usb cable to check the work of regular printer usb socket or not. you don't need to install the driver. Simply connect the usb cable between the printer and PC. If both USB works with off problem that should not see the unrecognized Usb device message.

  • HP Deskjet 2540 all-in-one: HP Deskjet 2540 does not print

I bought my printer a while ago and implemented so I could print wireless from my Mac. The other day I had to print some PDF documents and printed first, but the other two never printed. In the queue, it says "ready to print" and the two buttons wireless to the printer are turned on. It also does not print when I connect it to the USB port. But when I print the test page, which printed fine.

    Hey @bess-stanton1,.

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you have some problems with your machine printing Mac OSX 10.11 for the all-in-one printer Deskjet 2540. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

    1. Disconnect the USB cable if it is connected.
    2. Turn the printer off.
    3. While the printer is turned off, disconnect the power cable from the back of the router.
    4. When the lights come back on the router, turn on the printer.
    5. Close any programs you have open.
    6. On your Mac, click on your Apple icon, system preferences and printers and Scanners.
    7. Hold down the CTRL key and click on an icon of your printer on the left.
    8. Click on reset printing system.
    9. Click the 'more' in the lower left corner.
    10. Select your printer from the list.
    11. Click in the box next to and select your printer from the list.
    12. Click on Add.

Please let me know if you can print after you follow the above. If you can, please click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • Printer HP Deskjet 3525 does not connrct wireless without router.

I can connect to wireless on my laptop, but when I try to print wireless, it does not see the printer.

Before, I chose the software and configuration of the printer. Then select convert to Wireless Usb.

Then, it is (your printer could not join the wireless network)

The green bar then runs and he sees the printer model: HP Deskjet 3520 Series + No. series + name of the wireless network and MAC address.

I printed a wireless test report and the network name (SSID) - FAIL

    Any help

Unfortunately, after reading the manual (see below) and check the connectivity of this unit, you need to have a router. While some of our printers are supported wireless direct, as shown above, it is a lower end model and does not support this feature.

  • DeskJet 1050 - J410a: HP Deskjet 1050 does not print after upgrade of Windows 10

    Dear forum,

I recently upgraded my HP Windows OS 8.1 for Windows 10 desktop computer. My deskjet 1050 printer, which worked fine before the upgrade, does not properly more print after the upgrade.

I used HP Print and Scan Doctor several times, indicating no any problems. I am able to scan documents, the question is limited to printing. I also deleted and reinstalled the drivers at least 2 times (and restarted all systems on a regular basis).

    • A "test print" works very well.
    • When I print a PDF from the edge, the printer creates output but not good quality.
    • When I print an office word document, pages came out empty.

3 cases have a common behavior, whenever I get an error message. "Morning maken puts printer niet mogelijk. Duch is for "cannot connect to the printer.".

Do you have any tips for me?

    With sincere friendships.

    HeyPieter_Belgium

Welcome to the HP Forums, I'd love to help you with printing problems you encounter. Although I am not sure what is cause of the error of communication, or of poor quality, I suspect it has something to with the pilot and the recent upgrade. I suggest to uninstall the software, remove the Chuck from the properties of the server, and then put it back using the printer Installation Wizard. I will list the links and instructions below to help you in each of these steps.

HP printers - uninstalling the software of the printer (Windows)

Remove the driver from the print server properties:

    1. in the folder "devices and printers".

    2. choose "print server properties.

    • Win XP - with no printer selected, click 'File' then 'server properties '.
    • Windows Vista - with no printer selected, press 'Alt' and then click 'file' then 'server properties '.
    • Windows 7/8, 8.1 and 10 -select any printer in the "Devices and printers" folder and click on "Print server properties" above.

    3. click on the "Drivers" tab at the top of the window "properties of the print server.

    4. choose the printer that you want to uninstall, and then click 'remove '.

    5. choose "Remove driver only.

    6. the next screen will give a warning, letting you know that the removal of the driver package will remove it from the system. Click 'Yes' to say are you sure you want to do.

If documents are stuck in the spooler to print, you see an error, cancel all documents waiting in the print queue or try restart the spooler to print, and then try to delete the driver from 'Print server properties' again. If she will not always remove the sachet, restart the computer and the printer should correct this error "in use" and allow the driver to be removed.

Download and run the Installation Wizard for printer: www.HP.com/go/Tools

If this solves the problem, please indicate your post as solved by clicking on the accept button Solution below. If you need help, let me know!

    Thank you.

  • HP deskjet 3510 does not work after windows 8.1

My printer HP Deskjet 3510 cannot be detected after windows 8.1.  My computer is a HP Pavilion g6. Now, I would never, I clicked to install, I wish they would send me just windows 7. Laughing out loud

    @klb75,.

    Thanks for posting.

The cardinal rule of when something does not work after update to 8.1 is put it back in place. This applies to the printing software and all other software. Uninstall from the control panel configuration, programs and features. Then, restart the computer.

After that, download and install this software: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=al-108718-3&cc=ca&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4158&product=5157483&sw_lang=

    * Thus, before installing the software, disable all Firewall/antivirus software. This software can create conflicts with the printer software.

If reinstalling it does not help, run print and scan doctor. He could fix it... http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?CC=CA&LC=en&JumpID=ex_r4155/HHO/IPG/ccdoc/printer_diag/&softwareitem=MP-135113-1

  • HP deskjet 845c does not print

My printer is "hp deskjet 845c. My operating system is 'Windows Vista - Service Pack 2'. The cartridge does not move when I try to print or open the printer itself. The green power light & the orange alert light both blink. There is no jam or something like that. Everthing is clean, without dust inside & on the cartridge. Refreshment & reset does not work. Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you.

    cBaker

    Hi craigbaker1,

What are the levels of ink in each cartridge?

I would recommend reinstallation of ink cartridges and replacement of low ink.  Are you able to move the cart?

You can also try a hard reset in the following order.  To do this, unplug all cables including the power cord at the back of the printer when the printer is still on.  Unplug the other end of the power cord.  If there is a power supply on the power cord, disconnect one end and reconnect it.  After 60 seconds, plug the cable directly into a wall outlet ( not a surge protector or battery backup ) then plug it into the back of the printer.  Are there changes?

  • HP Deskjet 3050: deskjet 3050 does not print the JPG files in color - all other documents are printed only in black and white

    Dear all,

I have a problem with my Printer 3050 Deskjet. (USB connected with my laptop).

My printer does not print documents colors in color, but only in black and white (with the exception of JPGs (photographs) which are printed in color.

Word or PDF documents (for example) are always printed in black and white - even if they are in color.

Copy of pages in color on my printer is not a problem.

This works perfectly well. The printer is connected to my PC via USB.

Cartridges (color and black and white) are practically new and original HP cartridges.

Could the problem be associated I could have changed by accident print settings.
