  Like many people, I seem to have contracted the problem to build 7601. My copy of Windows 7 seems to think that it is not authentic.

  I have absolutely no reason to believe that my copy of Win7 is not genuine.   While 7601 is does not interfere with my day-to-day work day on the machine (other than the annoying popups to warning), I want to fix because it is just gauling, knowing that it's really a genuine copy of Windows 7.

  I will continue to trawl through the other posts to build 7601, but if there is a solution to current day, I would be grateful to hear it.

  Well, after reading a load of complex technical solutions, install this, delete, change, etc. Someone suggested I just go in the key product Activation and it worked. Don't know for how long but I'll scan for bad sectors on the disk hard where the information is to be corrupt.
