  I found my answer!  Director of HP has been replaced by the HP solutions Center - which I installed it and it works.  However, I prefer the interface on the HP Director than the Solution Center.

  The software for your printer provided by Apple Software Update.

  Click the Apple icon, and then click software update.

  Make sure to install any update HP available.

  Ink levels can be checked by the HP utility:

  • Go into System Preferences
  • Click on the print icon & scanning.
  • Double-click the name of the printer.
  • Click Printer Setup
  • Click on utility
  • Click Open Printer Utility.
  • Under information and Support, click the icon status of supplies.

• HP Director - does it come Standard with all the HP all-in-one?

  I have an OfficeJet 5510v all in one, which recently decided to give up the ghost.  He eats the pages in the ADF file when I try to scan them.  I am looking for a new printer, and this may sound stupid, but I * really * to use the HP Director software.  I actually went back to Windows XP last year so I * could * use it.

  All all-in-one printers come with HP Director?  Or is there some models that I need to look for, so I can make sure I get that?  I did some shopping around this morning and I saw none yet that specifically mention the HP Director - until now, they say just "software installation."

  None of the newer printers using the HP Director. It has been replaced by the HP Solution Center. software version 4.0 until what used HP Director. Software version 5.0 and higher using the Solution Center. If you can find a used Officejet 7410, who then uses the HP Director. the OJ 7410 btw, is in my opinion one of the best AiO printer HP EVER!

  1. I wanted to send a fax from the computer but couldn't find controls cover page to put a message on the cover page.

  2. There is no Preview Fax button.

  3 quality fax options are low, medium and high, but not the quality picture, even if assistance says there should be a Photo quality option.

  4. how to import addresses? Aid is said to use the address book in Internet Explorer, but IE is not an address book.

  It tells me that the Windows 7 driver for this printer is very disabled compared to XP driver that has these features. HP Director software which is running XP is also unavailable, is there a download for HP Director?

  Some of the features HP full feature has changed:

  Regarding your 1st question, the page function Fax coverage provided is no longer, since version 7 of the HP Solution Center software.

  Overview of Fax option is no longer available for newer models with the center of Solutio HP as well.

  So, by testing the newer models, the highest quality of Fax listed as high.

  As for question 4, the address book relies on Windows Contact:

  1. Click the Start button
  2. Type of Contacts in the search bar, you will find the Contacts application
  3. Follow these steps to import contacts:
     http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/import-export-or-change-the-format-for-contacts

  HP Director is not compatible with Windows7, the HP Solution Center is the only version available for your printer for Windows 7.

  HP Director was replaced years ago with the HP Solution Center.  It provides similar functionality to HP Director, including direct scanning to PDF.  I used the scan to PDF with an old Officejet 7410 and a new Officejet 6500 under Windows 7.

  I run a 21 "iMac with M1217nfw HP.  This morning the Mac airport made an update to 6.3.1; Sience and then the HP Director software cannot find the printer; where scanning is really difficult as is scanning to an email.  I like the HP Director software for the performance of the printer.  I have updated the firmware of the printer and uninstalled and reinstalled the printer via the "sytem Preferences > options" scan and print ", but no joy.»

  I tried to use time machine to restore an earlier version of airport - once again no joy. So it is a filew system cannot be changed.

  Yes, I don't think that HP Director is compatible with 10.8.4.

  Try scanning from your Mac. Use Image Capture app in your Applications folder.

  Click once on the scanner on the left side, and then click Show details on the background. Along the right side you will see MANY options for scanning and recording.

  We will use IBM X 3650 server to run the new ESXi host.  We would like to know if IBM Director is something similar to DELL OpenManage?   Wouldn't be a free download?

  IBM Director is free for the basic material followed (if the hardware is IBM).

  From what I remember that the server software is free and each piece of the IBM of hardwre that you buy - includes a license for the control of internal agent server IBM Director software.

  As said above for more sophisticated functions that there is an additional cost.

  Most of the management will be through the IMM (term of IBM for DRAC / ILO).

  You may be required to install some specific VIBs IBM or a custom of the ISO http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/x/os/vmware/esxi/

• My PSC 1300 not to tell anyone!

  I'm quite ignorant of these things. My PSC 1300 printer was working fine with my 27 iMac, and I had installed nothing at HP or otherwise. Then I needed to analyze something, and my printer said no, not at all, won't to do. SO, I installed the HP Director software (all-in-one) from the view of HP and the Voila! analysis made easy. Now, he has stopped talking to me. No printing. Everythime I try to print something that I simply get a message in the status column that says "error". It also seems that the printer is still by default standard printing software Mac and does not access the HP news I have installed.

  Anyone have any ideas? I thought to delete the HP software, but before I go, I thought I want to study here...

  I had at one point a photosmart 4070 with hp Director software and image of area. The scanner became unusable and was recycled, removed software. I miss that scanner and software. Now I have a new canon all-in-one and I do not like the software. Can I re-download Director of hp and the area of the image with no photosmart scanner? In the meantime, I'm looking for another 4070.Thanks

  Sorry, you can't download the software separately. If you were to get an another 4070 Photosmart you can download the full software and install it from the HP site.

• Icon missing in HP Media Smart Webcam

  Hi, I've recently updated to Win7, but now have a webcam problem. The software is considered to be installed, the webcam is listed in devices and works with Skype. Problem is that I can't access the webcam via CV SmartMedia as it is not listed (only DVD, help and TV). Can someone help to create an icon for my web cam or at least add to the MediaSmart menu. Any suggestions appreciated!

  Once again thanks a lot for your help.  I also discovered that the webcam is available with Cyberlink Power Director, software which came pre installed, so at least I will be able to use the facilities of wedcam, even if it is through a Mediasmart.

  If anyone has a similar problem, use Cyberlink!

• Impossible to reinstall XP Service pack 3

  I'm a * of a mess. I need to reinstall XP Service Pack 3 because my video card drivers will not work under SP2 and I answer on the 14 bit more raw color settings. I removed it because I wanted to uninstall IE8, to allow my HP Director software to work. These are issues separate towing themselves. Back to the matter in hand, when I try to install XP3 from Windows Update, the installation fails and the error message says that a .dll file is used by another program. I checked Microsoft article on steps to take before installing SP3 and therefore have trurned off my Avast antivirus time real Shields and close all other programs running in memory. I also downloaded XP3 manually from the Download Center and it burned on the disc, but I have exactly the same problems. Can anyone help please?

  Thus, it sems to ast post you you want to rerminate the discussion. You are satng that the fact that the update above is still on display in Windows Update means that there is always an infection and I still need to do a clean install?

  Yes. If the computer was not infected, KB2393802 would have correctly installed now.

• HP Photosmart 2410: HP 2410 with Windows 10 - scan to PDF

  I started using my 2410 Photosmart with a new computer that has Windows 10.   The software Windows Fax/Scan not allowing economies to a pdf file.  I can't find any compatible product to HP Director software I used on the old computer, which allowed me to scan and save it as a jpeg or PDF files.   HP has a software download that will always support my 2410 and let me analyze?   Thanks for the help.

• Partition problem, unable to shrink in Vista

  I use Dell inspiron... on my hard drives, I have two partitions drives naming C & D... Player C has windows vista install in it with 223 GB total space... While the D drive is a recovery drive with total space of 10 GB

  The problem here is I'm trying to reduce the volume of drive c... ND this player is allowing me to increase volume until Gbs just 37... while I have 188 GB free on drive C...
  pagefile is limited... shadowdata is limited... always faced with the problem...
  then you can help me make a full 188 GB partition.

  I highly recommend that you invest in the acronis Disk Director software.

  Step 1 - set the current file on drive c to none

  step 2 - create/set a file custom Exchange on the d drive and use the recommended settings provided by windows at the bottom of the virtual memory Control Panel.
