HP dm1z (XL303AV) netbook - type wireless card?

Took do a clean install of Windows 7 Pro (SP1) on my netbook dm1z (model XL303AV). Rose almost everything back and running jjust fine. But, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to get the wireless working card. Basically, I can not determine the correct driver for the card, because I don't know what is the brand of the wireless card! The HP support site lists 2-3 different models of wireless cards. Try Broadcom (more or less good first guess), but that has not worked. Device Manager still shows that the device is 'unknown '.

Any help? All I'm looking for is the brand/manufacturer of the equipment card, and I need this driver.

Thanks in advance...

Hello:

You have a Ralink wireless adapter.

The driver on the link below should work.

LOL: D you're funny type. Please don t do it harder they are.

There are many opportunities to find out what card WLan has been inserted.

The easiest way is to check the bottom of the unit.
There are a lot of different labels and on one of the labels you should see a WLan card model or part number.
Take this number it in the google search and google for this field.

  • Need the latest news of the wireless card and more on my Satellite 1905-S301

    First post here. Need help.

Toshiba has no info in their manual or anywhere on their site I could find about it.

The manual mentions that the stock for my Toshiba Orinoco Gold 1905-S301 wireless card (8484415560) wireless adapter.

Thing, is that the map is years old, and I want to know what the last card that will work with my 1905-s301. I saw many posts around the net
people with problems with mini-pci in Toshiba laptops different cards, where the power light and wireless do not work, and many positions
on workaround with pin 13 on the map so that the thing stays on permanently.

So what I want to know is: what is the latest version of the wireless standard that works with my 1905-S301 (802. 11 g, 802.11n, whatever), what brand of card
I can't (model number would be useful) that works, and it should be a map where I don't have to do no work around... where the on/off switch works the way it's supposed to and seeing Wi - Fi will also do.

Now... Apart from the above, it would be preferable to use a Type II CardBus PC card for the slot on the side of my laptop. Again, I am ignorance about these cards, but I don't know that you can get wireless cards that can be used. It would be preferable to an internal card? I know that they went to the PC Card Express format a few years before, so I can't assume CardBus cards cannot be purchased new.

Basically, I just want the ability to the most recent and WiFi for my laptop. I am to go to Seattle in May and want to have my computer laptop maxed out as far as it's capacity so I can entertain me

    A few other questions:
Is my Wired CPU? Can I spend it? And same for my graphics card. 16 MB graphic memory is not good, and I would like to know if I can pass that somehow.

Thanks in advance. Any info on my questions above would be much appreciated.

    Hello!

I agree with Garrett, contact the ASP in your country for information. They know what are the cards will fit in on Satellite 1905 and work.

On WiFi standards, I can say that the newer 802.11n standard will not work in this good old classic because that's why you need 3 antenna cables.

The CPU can be improved, but this will be maybe not supported from the BIOS. On the site of Toshiba is a document available thereon:
    http://195.182.196.33/KB0/FAQ7A01ZW0007R01.htm

Finally and above all the video RAM depends on the RAM memory and is turned on automatically. I don't know but if you have more RAM you will also get more video RAM but this ask your ASP too m.

  • Atheros AR9285 802.11 wireless card does not work.

Wireless for my laptop HP that atheros AR9285 recently stopped detecting my router while I have my Netgear G54 WGR614v10 encryption card any type of security, I chose, but it detects my router if I switch off my encryption.

I read a post from Paul_Tikkanen Atheros WLAN Driver corrects connection issues with many new routers (Linksys, Netgear, D-Link, etc.), I downloaded the driver and installed it but it has not made a difference.

I also watched to make sure that bluetooth was not on, I read somewhere that it might interfere with my wireless card, but it was not on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you

OK, this is strange, and then we will have to check each setting security on your router and your network card to make sure they match. Access your routers webpage bios and go to network security, if possible on your PC to cable and take note of the security settings and compare them with the security of network adapter settings.

    ~ Bios of router ~
    * Usually, which would be the mode key staff/Enterprise wpa or wep.
    * Then check that your type of encryption on the router security example would be AES or TKIP.
    * And then check your 802.11 mode.

    ~ NIC ~.
    * go to start button or charms right mouse click Select Network option and click. * highlight of the WiFi adapter which is having right mouse questions click.
    * then choose status to the next screen, click Properties wireless.
    * then select Security tab, try this on your laptop which works as well to make sure everything fits.

Something must have went wrong with the installation of the driver. I think you need to remove or back the driver, restart your laptop and let windows update or HP support assistant app find the right driver for you if it does not.

  • How to: install a wireless card; Is a router still required after completing this

How difficult is it to install a wireless to my current desktop card, so I don't have to use a router?  I am running Windows Vista.  Is it still possible?

Even if you install a wireless card, you should always have a connection to the Internet. That is done via a wireless router. If you are near a public "hotspot", you may be able to connect through instead of one to have on your home or office.

It is certainly possible to install a wireless card. There are types that require the case to be opened to allow access to the PCI bus. There are types that plug into a USB port available on the case. It is not difficult to install.

I have the feeling you are trying to get rid of the cable between your computer and the Internet router.

  • Tower PC wireless card?

I'm not the most tech savvy person in the world, so I need your help.  I had problems with my internet service provider, telephone and cable (Time Warner).  They have been to my house 6 times this week and 4 times last week.

I have to find another provider, because I can't take all the time to stop, I've lived with Time Warner.  Instead of having my phone service with them I'll return with a cell phone exclusively.  I wish I had Verizon Fios in my area but it is not.  However, I do not want to use Verizon for my phone.  Given their mobile broadband services, is anyway to a kind of PC wireless card in my PC tower so I don't have to go with a satellite provider?  They also have a USB (type A) in their mobile broadband products, but I don't know what kind of way.

I need some advice from all the knowledgeable people and I thank very you much in advance!

    Hello

Problems of cable of this magnitude would have caused by known problems. What is Time Warner
saying is causing all the problems? Cable would normally be one of the most stable internet access
    Methods.

    1. check with your phone company to see if they offer the Service of Internet high speed in your area.

2 call the local computer companies to make sure you know the options in your area - WHAT you call
can including Office Depot and similar. You are looking for options and do not buy one
    you check.

    3. call Verizon and other wireless companies to see what they have options in your area.

4 sprint and claire may have internet and phone service in your area.

    I hope this helps.

    Hello

First post so be gentle with me! I need help updating my card wireless on my Compaq nx6310 laptop. I have the original card in there since and I now have a much faster connection fiber with a Hauwei HG533 wireless router, I understand if I upgrade the card wireless singing all dancing all 802.11 b/g/n a I can connect to a faster speed. I m on XP Home SP3. I understand that the card must be a genuine product of HP or on the white list of the bios but I Don t know if it is available for my kit and where I can get a. I want the best available. I have attached a few photos. of the existing.

Thanks in advance for any help...

As your interest is to upgrade to an802.11b\g\n wireless adapter then you the simplest solution is to buy a Type I or Type II or Type III Cardbus wireless card.  You may need to search for this type of card in the second-hand market.

The card plugs on the the slots on the left side of your laptop.

There is no currently internal NIC that correspond to your laptop.

Your laptop is a generation of cell when only 802.11 a\b\g existed and that's what makes your best option cardbus cards.

  • PC with wireless card will not connect to the login of the user (Windows 7 RC)

My PC uses a Rosewill (RNX-G300EX) wireless card with the software and drivers of Railink.

With Windows XP (Pro) PC would connect to my home network and the internet on startup without user logon.  It is important to me because the data that I want to use on the network on this PC, and I don't necessarily want to have a user logged on to do.  I also have immediate internet access to connect remotely with TeamViewer, which worked perfectly with Windows XP.

Since my switch to Windows 7 RC, I don't get the immediate connection through the wireless card.  It does not connect to the local network or the internet until a user logs on.

    Articles I checked:
Driver - Microsoft actually already provided an updated driver that were obtained through Windows Update.  The driver for the wireless card should not be a problem.
Power settings - I checked in advance for the power settings in Windows 7 and made sure that the wireless card has been set 'Maximum Performance '.
Properties of the device - I have checked the device properties for the wireless card and made sure they were NOT defined to allow the OS to turn it off to save energy.

I missed some type of parameter which is a novelty for Win7?  My computer with a wired network connection works fine with Win7 and is accessible at startup without user logon.

First of all, thank you for the Mark test.  But the problem was not to have the connection when a browser is opened.  To open a browser, a user needed to be connected... with a logged-in user, the wireless adapter worked fine.

Now, to answer my own question for someone else who might read this.

I sent this message to Rosewill.  They advise that Ralink (spelled correctly this time) had not yet developed a good driver for Windows 7.  Windows Update apparently used a Vista driver and Windows 7 is apparently a bit different... or just Ralink is not cut with Vista either.

So, I tried a Netgear USB wireless adapter.  BINGO!  The computer automatically start this device.  There is now a network connection to start.  TeamViewer now shows the computer as being online without that person may be connected.

    ANSWER: hardware
RALink is a failure by juggling the time.  If you are looking to buy an adapter wireless network with a Ralink chipset, don't.  The link that Rosewill support sent me for the Ralink drivers was broken.  The Ralink site shows it as having certificate problems and IE8 does not recommend open it.  They are apparently dropping the ball.

I'll buy a new wireless network adapter.
